I took a deep breath as I looked up at the large skyscraper that lay in the middle of downtown Manhattan.

Just pray he remembers you and isn't a douchebag.

I walked into the building and made my way to the front desk seeing a slender blonde woman standing behind it.

"Hello. My name is Jalanii Harper and I'm here to see Liam Svensson." I said catching the woman's attention

A brisk scowl became present over her expression as she eyed the blouse and pencil skirt I wore causing me to internally thank God for my changes as a person.

"What do you need to see Liam for?" She asked with a small smirk as she leaned over the desk a bit, hinting at the fact that they may have had something going on between each other

"That is none of your business Melissa. I suggest you stick to doing your job instead of worrying about my brother's regard." I heard a voice snap causing the woman to straighten up and mutter lowly "My apologies."

"I'll take you to Liam." His brother then said causing me to nod

"Thank you," I replied following after him as he made his way to an elevator that had a sign engraved in the sleek metal empathizing the use of the elevator being only and for the Svensson Family.

"No problem, my name is Gustav by the way, I'm one of Liam's older brothers." He said introducing himself as we stepped onto the elevator

"I'm Jalanii...we met last night sort of," I said steadying the bag Liam had given me last night before Gustav gently took it

"Heavy?" He asked with a smile

"Yeah." I laughed lowly, "Thank you." I concluded shortly after

"No problem, just a heads up my brother likes you a lot," Gustav remarked bluntly

"Yeah, well the girl at his front desk he seems to like a lot too" I sighed with a small smile

"They never hooked up. She just has an overbearing crush on him." He rebutted

"Mmh" I replied because at the end of the day he is his brother and I know how men are, them being brothers is just another reason to believe he'd lie for him

The elevator then opened causing me and Gustav to walk down the hall to the large door at the end of the hall.

"Liam I have a surprise for you!" He announced as he opened the door walking in

"Gustav, it better be the sun, moon, and stars because I've told you about barging into my offi-" Liam began to nag still looking at his computer before he looked up seeing me with his short rant halting

"Thank me later," Gustav said carefully handing me the bag his brother gifted me and walking out of his brother's office leaving us alone together

Liam then removed the glasses he wore and stood up straightening out the blazer he wore with a small smile, "How are you beautiful?"

"I'm good. You?" I asked beginning to watch as his eyes scanned over me as my gaze couldn't help but fall onto him

"Great, a bit stressed but your presence seemed to alleviate that." He replied

"My Nana always told me don't trust the ones with slick tongues," I said beginning to laugh lowly as he smiled

"Maybe you should just come see for yourself when you're ready of course." He rebutted causing my body to heat in response to his bold statement

"Liam, I'm not here to take up too much of your time I just wanted to say thank you so much but I can't accept this," I said sitting the bag of money on a nearby coffee table

I watched as his facial expression dimmed before he said "I make this type of money each second you're fine. Take it or I'll wire it into your bank account."

"Ugh, Mr. Svensson what are you trying to do to me?" I teased with a slight whine as I continuously thought about how nice he was being which was sending me a thousand different red flags

"Come here." He said in a needy tone

The only sounds made for a split second were my heels clicking against the marble floors until I made it to where he sat on the side of his desk.

His hands gently made their way around my waist as he looked down at me and said "I'm trying to take you out...take you anywhere you want, to meet my Mom."

"You're dangerous, Mr. Svensson," I said beginning to stare at his plump lips

"To some people." He replied swiftly before leaning in slowly, entangling his hand in my hair as he moved it from of my face

We then gazed at each other a few seconds before I leaned in closer pressing my lips against his as he immediately kissed back softly biting my lip when he finally pulled away.

"Still dangerous?" He asked with a smirk

"I'd say treacherous," I replied as his hand found mines to squeeze gently

"Can I take you out for dinner?" He asked with his cute little smirk still present

"I have to work."

Liam then nodded and picked up the phone before saying into it "Hello. This is Liam Svensson. I need to make a money transfer into the account of Jalanii Harper...10 million is fine...I expect it to be there immediately, thank you."

He then put down the phone and I stood there in shock before he said "Retire."

"Look I don't want you to do that!" I said before all my thoughts seemed to be compelled away from him putting the money into my account

"It's not a problem. I don't want you to worry about it, I just want you safe and at home at night." Liam explained rubbing his thumb over my knuckles causing me to melt under his touch

"How about I take you out danger?" I proposed

"Oh really?" He snickered

"Yes really. You're driving though."

"Alright. You know I need your address to pick you up right?" He said biting his lip while gazing at me

"You're a smart man, you managed to figure out my bank details, I have faith in you finding my address," I said as I picked his phone up from his desk and began creating my contact in his phone, sharing my location

I handed him his phone as he took it still making direct eye contact with me as I began walking out of his office.

"See you tomorrow, Liam." I announced before he smiled and said "See you tomorrow Princessa"
