Hey there ItsKaylaKiara , you're my second review! Thank you for your patience, I know it's taken a long time but hey, it's here. You wanted me to focus on grammar and plot, so I'll focus on just that!
Grammar
Chapter One:
-Keep this rule in mind: If it is under ten, spell it out. If it's over, write the number. Ex: one, two, three....15, 20, 30.
-I'd add a comma after "don't worry".
-In the third paragraph, "being" should be capitalized. The sentence also doesn't make sense.
-I believe you meant "aspiring", not "inspiring" in the fourth paragraph.
-"...the more darker the alleyway got." I'd remove "more", or change it to "dark".
-Don't put two people speaking in one paragraph. Make sure to separate dialogue.
-"...they were looking at and in the distance." Remove and, or combine in with the next sentence with a comma.
-""Where the hell am I?" I commanded." The word "commanded" in this context doesn't make much sense, as she's not technically commanding him to do anything.
-Missing punctuation in the fifth paragraph after the scene change. "Hoped" also should be "hopped".
-Don't overdo or misuse semicolons ( these โ ; ). Some of them are used in the wrong places.
-Also make sure to add commas where it's needed, reread your sentences thoroughly to make sure they flow nicely.
-The word "say" or "I say" is used about eight times. Try to find other words to replace this, it gets repetitive.
-In the second to last paragraph, "it" needs to be capitalized.
Chapter Two:
-I generally don't like/recommend doing a "recap" of your previous chapter, but that's personal preference.
-In the first paragraph, "your" should be "you're". Same thing with the word "commanded", it doesn't make sense in this context.
-The second paragraph is missing punctuation, and "I spat" doesn't really sound right. I don't know what you may have meant to put but I would change it. Also, the last sentence needs a comma and "ask" should be "asked".
-I think you meant to write "but", not "put" in the third paragraph.
-Once again, make sure you add commas where it's needed and don't forget any punctuation. It seems to be a recurring issue.
-"Your cute"... "your" should be "you're".
-Separate dialogue.
-In the third to last paragraph in August's POV, "revealing" is misspelled.
-Frequent run-on sentences, which correlates with my previous note.. Add commas.
Chapter Three:
-Majority of the errors are things I already mentioned, so I won't repeat myself.
-"Breakfast" doesn't need to be capitalized.
-"When were done..." "were" should be "we're".
-The third to last paragraph before the scene change is missing an ending quotation mark. The exclamation point should also be a question mark.
-The word "pressure" is misspelled in the last paragraph before the scene change.
-"You late, princess" should be "you're late, princess". Or, make it a question.
-"We use to work together..." change "use" to "used".
-Make sure you're using the proper words for certain contexts... (your and you're, its and it's, they're, their, and there, etc). I won't keep pointing it out specifically since I sound repetitive, but just keep it in mind.
Chapter Four:
-Just to recap some previous things I mentioned that I won't point out specifically, as it's recurring: make sure to add commas where it's needed, check punctuation (use the right ones and don't forget it), don't put two people speaking in one paragraph, and words like there, their, and they're, or you're and your, need to be used correctly.
-The word ask/asks/asked is used 15 times. Again, same thing with say/says, try to find other words to replace this.
-"I start scrolling on Pinterest and start looking at what people were saying..." Since "start" is used twice, I would remove one of them and fix the sentence from there.
-""Have fun?" It said..." I doubt that's supposed to be a question, so I'd remove the question mark.
-"...can this mean learning anything to do anything besides annoy me?" I believe that's supposed to say ... "...can this man learn anything..." haha.
- When you mention the book title "They Both Die at the End", make sure it's capitalized, as it is a title.
-The word "coffee" doesn't need to be capitalized.
Chapter Five:
-In the first paragraph, when referring to Lavinia, you accidentally used "he" instead of "she".
-This isn't a mistake, I just felt the need to point out that I love the reference to the book. Never read it, but I've heard it's good ;)
-"I'm on a fighter! I'm a fashion designer!" First, add a comma to combine those two sentences. Secondly, I believe you meant "not" instead of "on".
-I don't know if this is intentional, but the sentence "Lavinia and August, your father needs you in his office" is repeated three times in one. If this is on purpose, I'd make it more clear why this is.
-The word "walked in/walk" is used excessively. Stepped in, made our way in, or headed into could be some ways you could replace it.
Chapter Six:
-August is referred to as "it" instead of "him" in the second to last paragraph before the scene change. I found it kind of funny, but I doubt that was intentional.
-"I and Kiara..." should be changed to "Kiara and I / and Kiara...".
-Not much to comment on this chapter, nothing that I've already mentioned.
Chapter Seven:
-This isn't a critique, but I love the little strikethrough the word "like", it's cute.
-The word "token" should be "took", this is in the third paragraph after the change to Lavinia.
-Don't use abbreviations/slang words like "omg" in dialogue. Hardly anyone actually says "O-M-G", so just spell it out.
-"...don't waist a second..." Change that to "waste".
-"...a couple of other men sit down in the table..." Unless they're morphing themselves into wood and becoming one with the table, I doubt they're going IN the table. Change it to "on", and change table to chair, since I also doubt they're just plopping themselves on the table.
-"...there are over 100 men standing in a circle..." I doubt she sat and counted exactly how many men are there in front of her, especially with the situation they're in. Change it to something like: "...there seemed to be over 100 men..."
Plot:
I like the plot of your story so far. If you fixed the grammatical errors listed and made it even stronger, I think you'd have a pretty solid story. I think your characters could use some development, especially August and Livinia, but they're not too underdeveloped to where they're just simply not good. I feel like I can understand their personalities and their relationship between each other, but the indivisible characters alone aren't as developed (if that makes sense). Make them they're own individual people who just so happen to be partners, not "this is a duo and they're nothing but a duo, they're nothing without each other".
But, as far as just plot, I have nothing to really critique on it. It's romance, so I don't know too much about it and all the nooks and crannies of a good love story. But, from what I understand, it's not bad at all. It's not cheesy or overly stereotypical, which is hard to find on Wattpad.
I appreciate your patience and thank you for allowing me to review your story! <3
