"Scott, you need to wake up" Jackie repeats for the seventh time to Scott, who is still soundly asleep "Scott, come on."

"Is it safe to come in?" Jackie hears Isaac shout through the door, making the girl walk over and open it, seeing Isaac standing there "Let me guess, Scott isn't waking up?"

"I've been trying to wake him up but nothing is working" Jackie says with a sigh.

"I've got this" Isaac says to Jackie before walking over to Scott's bed "Pixar just announced a new Ice Age movie!" Isaac shouts, making Scott immediately wake up.

"A new Ice Age movie?" Scott asks as he sits up, now being wide awake.

"Yeah, coming out in 2026" Isaac mentions "Now get up and get ready. We got to leave in fifteen."

"Leave for what?" Scott asks, being completely oblivious about what day it was.

"First day of sophomore year, dickhead" Isaac says "Now get up."

"Okay, okay" Scott says with a sigh, making Isaac leave the room "Hi Jackie."

"Hi Scott" Jackie says with a smile as she gets her bag ready for school, checking everything off her checklist to make sure she has everything she needs.

"How was your first night?" Scott asks, wanting to know that she is okay.

"It was fine" Jackie says with a smile "You should probably get ready."

"Yeah, I probably should" Scott says awkwardly "Um, I'm just going to shut this" He says before quickly shutting the curtain before grabbing a black t-shirt, gray joggers and a red cap and getting changed into them, before going to the bathroom to brush his teeth before running downstairs "I'm not late, am I?" He asks as he sees his family crowded around in the kitchen.

"Just on time actually" Alex tells his twin brother.

"Scott, don't forget to take your medication" Katherine says, passing Scott his anti-depression tablets. Scott has been on anti-depressants for the past six months and he hates talking about the reason why. Even Charlie and Hope don't know the real reason why he got put onto anti-depressants, which he thought was the best. Charlie and Hope already worried about Scott enough, he didn't want to be a bother to them even more if they know.

"Bus leaves in five" Cole announces, making everyone grab their bags and start following him outside to the car.

"Where's Jackie?" Scott asks, not seeing her anywhere.

"Behind you, idiot" Lee says with a sigh, making Scott turn around to see Jackie stood at the front door.

"Come on, New York, get in" Cole says, which makes Scott roll his eyes, not understanding why Cole can't call the girl by her actual name. As much as Scott calls Cole a jackass, he knows that Cole is actually a good person, but there were times where Scott questioned that; which was mostly because Cole rarely shows that he's a half decent person.

"I really don't care about school, but we're going to be late" Isaac mentions, checking the time, seeing they only have fifteen minutes before school started.

"So what if we're late? What's the worst that could happen?" Scott asks as they get into the car.

"We get detention and we have to be at school longer than we have to be" Isaac points out, making Scott's eyes widen.

"Cole, start driving, now" Scott yells to his older brother.

TIME SKIP BY SCOTT'S LOVE FOR ICE AGE

"Hey guys, we got a full car today, so that means Isaac, no offering rides to random cheerleaders" Cole says, which makes Scott roll his eyes. Behind Cole, Isaac was the player of the family. Scott never understood why someone would want to be with so many other people, but that was mostly because he has been in love with the same girl since the seventh grade.

"Okay!" Isaac yells as he climbs over the back seats of the car as Scott climbs out of the car "Don't close the door, Scott" Isaac says, making Scott smile at him before slamming the door in his face.

"Hey, we leave at three thirty, okay?" Cole announces to his siblings and cousins as everyone climbs out of the car.

"What was the point in that?" Isaac asks Scott with a huff as he finally gets out of the car.

"Fun" Scott says with a shrug as he realises that Jackie still hadn't gotten out of the car, so he reopens the car door to see Jackie still sat there "Yo, Jackie, you good?"

"I'm fine" Jackie says to Scott as Nathan and Danny also walk over to them, also noticing that Jackie didn't get out of the car.

"We'll show you were your class is" Nathan says with a small smile. Out of all of the kids; Danny, Nathan and Scott were the most sympathetic towards Jackie. Well, they were the three that were more open about their sympathy towards the girl.

"Really?" Jackie asks.

"Can't have you getting lost on your first day" Danny says to Jackie, before she finally gets the courage to get out of the car.

"So, what do you think?" Cole asks as he sees Jackie staring at the school.

"It's... big" Jackie says, still staring at the school as Erin Collins walks over to Cole, kissing him in the process.

"Okay, I'm leaving before I throw up" Scott says to Jackie as he looks over at Erin and Cole. Scott has had a crush on Erin since the seventh grade, but because of her on again off again relationship with Cole, he's never had a chance with her. He knew that he probably would never have a chance with her since she is way out of his league but it didn't really help that Erin is with his brother. "Um, if you need anything, come find me, okay?" Scott says to Jackie before walking away to see his two best friends at the entrance of the school, waiting for him.

"You took your time" Charlie says to Scott with a laugh "We're going to be late because of you."

"No, you two are going to be late because you would be too busy making out if I wasn't here" Scott mentions, giving Charlie and Hope a weird look. Being a third wheel all of the time would suck for everyone else, but not for Scott. Whenever he was hanging out with Charlie and Hope, they did their best to make sure that he wasn't a third wheel, which he appreciates.

"We weren't making out" Hope says to Scott, rolling his eyes "We just didn't want to go in without you."

"Well, Hope didn't" Charlie corrects Hope "I was wanting to just ditch you."

"And this is why Hope is my favourite" Scott says with a smile before the three of them walk into school.
