two idiotic best friends
"Dad! I'm going out!" Jamie shouts as he leaves is room to see Hopper sat on the couch "Oh, you're just there."
"Where are you going?" Hopper asks Jamie. Every time Jamie leaves the cabin, Hopper always tells him the same things. While Jamie knows that it's to make sure that Eleven is safe, it does get a bit annoying after hearing it the first five times.
"To June's like always, and no, I will not tell her about El and, no, I will not let her come here" Jamie says to his dad before Hopper even has the chance to "I've done it for the past year now. I think I got the hang of it."
"Don't be a smartass with me, kid" Hopper sternly says to Jamie. Over the past year, the two have been working on patching up their father-son relationship, which has sort of worked. There are still some things that the two don't really get along with, for example, Hopper still hasn't gotten used to Jamie's hyperness yet. It was still a work in progress.
"I don't think me answering the questions you were going to ask is me being a dumbass" Jamie quickly says "It's mostly be just saving your breath and words."
"Well, why don't you save your breath and words by shutting up and go see your friend" Hopper says to Jamie with a smile.
"I'll be back at around ten" Jamie says to Hopper as he goes to leave the cabin.
"By nine! It's a school night!" Hopper shouts over to Jamie.
"Okay, nine, got it!" Jamie shouts before shutting the door and starts to make his way to June's house.
TIME SKIP BY JAMIE BEING A SMARTASS
Jamie has always loved it at the Sinclair house. The house just felt homely to him, which is one of the things he loved most about it. One of the other things he loves about it is the fact that June's mom makes him a homemade meal whenever he comes over, which is much better than the microwave meals that he always eats at home.
"I really cannot be bothered for tomorrow" June says with a sigh as she lies down on her bed "I got show a new girl around. Like, why me? What's so special about me to make a girl like the school?"
"Didn't you agree to do it to get out of detention?" Jamie asks June as he goes to lie on the bed next to June.
"Yeah, and I don't get why you didn't agree to it as well" June says as she nudges Jamie "Saves you being at school longer than you have to."
"Because I would rather sit in a classroom with a teacher glaring daggers into my head then show some random person I don't know around" Jamie explains to June.
June and Jamie have been best friends since the third grade. They had became friends since they were both the only two that no one else would talk to in their classes. No one would talk to June because she was too mean, while Jamie would just annoy people into avoiding him. Over the years, the two have been friends and are still yet to make any new friends. While it means they are stuck together for at least the rest of high school, they don't really mind it at all. They would rather be stuck together than stuck with some boring people who didn't even know the definition of fun.
"But you have to be at school for longer than you have it" June repeats herself "Honestly, that place is hell. Especially when my locker is right next to Steve Harrington's."
"Yeah, I gotta admit, that is bad" Jamie says with a laugh, making June punch him in the arm "What was that for?"
"You were being a dickhead" June says to Jamie with a glare "At least I haven't had a crush on Chrissy Cunningham for the past five years."
One thing to know about Jamie is that he's been in love with Chrissy Cunningham for the past five years. The only two problems with this is the fact that Chrissy is in a relationship with Jason Carver and there is also the fact that Chrissy doesn't even know that Jamie even exists. There has been many times where Jamie has tried to tell her how he feels or even just talk to her, but they have always failed.
"Okay, my eight year plan will work" Jamie says to June "Just watch, in three years time, Chrissy will be my girlfriend and realise how amazing I am."
"Yeah, sure" June sarcastically says, rolling her eyes.
"Hey, sarcasm is my thing, find your own thing" Jamie says to June.
"Just like you say, a stupid comment deserves a sarcastic answer" June says with a shrug, making Jamie roll his eyes.
"Just you wait, Chrissy Cunningham will be my girlfriend one day" Jamie says to June, making her roll his eyes again.
What Jamie didn't know at this time, was that the very next day, he would be meeting his future girlfriend and it isn't Chrissy.
