I woke up.

What is going on?

White.

So much bright white light.

I closed my eyes.

All of a sudden I felt hell like pain all over.

What happened?

How am I hurting so much?

I opened my eyes, looking at myself.

God, I had bruises all over...

I don't remember anything...

I suddenly tasted a weird taste in my mouth.

Blood?

The pain grew when I moved so I lay there, not moving a bit.

It even hurt when I breathed.

"Alec!" A voice called.

"F-funneh...?" I croaked out.

I couldn't say anymore because my mouth felt bruised.

I heard the person let out a sob.

"No Alec! It's me Aly!" She cried, sobbing harder.

"Sis... D-don't cry..." I tried to comfort her.

The pain was only growing when I talked.

"Ah, Mr Hale. I see you are awake. Please refrain from moving as that will cause you even more pain." A voice said.

"Do what the nurse says Alec." Aly pleaded.

"Thank you Miss Hale, you are welcome to leave now." The nurse nodded.

"But I want to know if he's okay, he's my brother after all!" She protested.

The nurse shook her head.

"You have classes now. It is very sweet that you want to be here for your brother's recovery but you need to get to class." She smiled lightly, putting a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Aly looked at me and she nodded, wiping away a tear as she kissed my forehead and left the room.

The nurse turned to me and got some tools out.

She used one of those strange hammers doctors have on my joints.

I shrieked in pain.

Her eyes widened.

She looked up at me with a worried look.

I badly wanted to ask her what was wrong but I couldn't.

She made a call on her phone.

"Yes... Name Alec Hale... Broken... Knee... Foot... Shoulder... Fight... Half an hour..."

She finished her call and turned to me.

"The fight this morning resulted in you having several broken bones... At least from what I can tell they are. I've phoned the hospital for an emergency xray and examination." She explained, her voice low and sympathetic.

What fight?

I don't remember anything...

Oh.

Now I remember.

Broken bones, huh?

That beat up must've lasted longer than I thought then.

The door slammed open.

"OH MY GOD ALEC ARE YOU OKAY-" It was Kyran and Evelyn!

"Shhh! He's still recovering!" Evelyn scolded, flicking Kyran on the back of his head.

"Ow! Sorry!"

"Miss Wynd, lovely to see you! Mr Li, I would appreciate it if you keep your voice down." The nurse smiled.

She and Evelyn started discussing my injuries.

Kyran walked up me, he looked so full of sorrow.

"I'm s-sorry we didn't get there quick enough... We didn't know until in class someone told the teacher that you were here." He apologised, his head bent low, looking at the ground.

I wanted to tell him that it wasn't his fault, that he should feel no fault whatsoever.

But I couldn't, my voice had left me.

Evelyn looked over at us.

She's usually do calm and collected.

But for the first time, I saw her full of anger.

I was at hospital now.

It was super strange.

Everyone fussing about my broken bones.

School ended an hour ago.

Aly, Evelyn and Kyran were here.

We set up a video call with Evan an hour ago.

If only he was here.

If only...

Suddenly the doctor said something and everyone flooded out the room.

This one doctor was super sketchy.

Now it was just us two.

She turned to me and smiled.

I knew that smile...

"Long time no see."

I knew that voice...

"What do you want Celeste?"

Her doctor disguise was suddenly being stuffed in a bag and she was in her usual clothes.

"Just checking up on my dear co worker-" She grinned, her voice sickly sweet and fake.

"Drop the **cking act. Why are you here?" I asked, my voice firm.

"The boss is visiting. Thought I'd warn ya'" She shrugged, her voice icy.

The look she gave me was cold as she backed away to the window.

She jumped out.

God it scares me every time she does that-

She's in love with Yan.

Any fool can see that.

We've been closer than me and Elijah.

We've looked out for eachother.

But for her to especially come and warn me is bad.

Very very bad.

I might die.

No I will die.

That wouldn't be so bad now would it.

The door opened.

"Hey Yumi."

My eyes weren't open but I knew she flinched.

She hates it when people call her by her first name.

It's probably her only weakness.

I felt her horrible smile grow.

I felt her breathe on my face.

I opened me eyes.

She was mere centimetres from me.

"Gonna kill me?" I asked.

"Nah. Maybe later." She replied.

"I'm here to remind you that you have homework you didn't get while you missed lessons." She sweetly smiled.

I knew what that meant.

"Oh yeah? Computing?" I closed my eyes again.

"Spot on. And some PE..." Her voice menacingly trailed off.

I sharply opened my eyes.

"What?! You said-!"

"I have injuries. I cannot do the PE. I'll happily do the ICT." I shrugged, trying to be casual.

Her breathe tingled on my face.

"I'm sorry. Did I hear you right?" She sweetly asked, a finger stroking my chin.

"I can kill you right here pretty boy. No evidence." She paused. "No nothing."

She moved a stray strand of hair from my face.

To anyone watching it would look like we were a couple.

I stopped breathing for a moment.

It was my time to go now.

She looked me dead in the eyes.

I looked at her.

"Yandere?" Kyran's voice said questioningly.

Yumi stepped back from me.

Evelyn looked at us two.

She knew what was going on.

She knew damn well.

"Visting hours are over for friends." Her brisk and cold tone made me shiver.

"I'll be leaving then. Get better soon!" Her voice sang.

She suddenly looked at Evelyn dead in the eyes with hatred.

Pure hatred.

She slammed into Aly while leaving the room.

Evelyn met my eyes.

Aly grinned at me.

Kyran scratched his head and gave me a side smile.

They just saved my life.

I love these people.
