𝐄𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲.
I stood in the doorway, feeling dead.
My body was numb.
I couldn't feel anything.
Was I supposed to?
My teeth clattered.
I was cold.
But I could barely feel it.
Aly.
All I could think about was Aly.
My beloved little sister.
The one I carried on for.
My own flesh and blood.
My favourite person.
The amazing dancer.
The social one.
My sister.
Aly.
I felt empty.
I knew she was going to die.
I know it.
There's no way she survived bleeding like that.
My head ached.
I want her to be alive.
Of course I do.
But I know it's unrealistic to hope.
I swayed on my feet.
I felt like collapsing.
I wanted to give into my urge to pass out.
My eyelids became heavy.
Thud.
Alec rose from the floor.
A ringing had woke him up.
He rubbed his head.
He had hit it hard.
Where was Aly?
Then he remembered.
He rushed to the phone.
"Ah, sorry for the wait who is this?" Alec asked hopefully, praying it was the hospital.
"No problem at all sir. I'll need to speak to your parents or have their numbers."
He faltered.
"Yes, of course. My mother is abroad right now. Her number is *-" He answered truthfully.
"Alright, we'll give her a ring. Are you the only one home? Is your father available?" The lady said delicately.
"No, he left long ago I'm afraid. And yes I'm the only one home. We live together me and my sister. How is she?" His voice wobbled.
"How old are you?" The lady asked cautiously.
"18 ma'am." He said, twisting the truth a little bit.
"Alright. Her condition is very poor. That hit to the head proved to be fatal. If she gets lucky, she may enter a coma." She said bluntly.
Alec blinked.
"Aright, thank you. Also can I see her now?" He asked.
"Yes. Though you'll have to leave the room immediately for every check up."
"Thank you very much." He breathed.
After telling him visiting hours and rules of the hospital, the lady out the phone down.
Alec put his head in his hands.
He grabbed his keys journal.
He scribbled what happened down before jumping in his car.
He was in such a rush that he didn't remember to call his friends.
Alec twisted the keys in and downed the accelerator.
He drive safely but was going fast.
He was shaking so much.
He probably shouldn't of been driving.
But he didn't give a shit.
He sped up more, hoping to not be pulled over.
After what felt like hours, he pulled up to the hospital.
He found some parking and then bolted out of his car, barely remembering to take out his keys.
He talked with the front desk for a while and then was led to her room.
The doctor stayed outside for privacy.
There were other patients in the ward.
Alec's breath hitched.
He opened the door.
He walked along to Aly's corner.
He moved the curtain.
His heart dropped.
She was on a ventilator.
She looked so frail.
Nothing like her usually.
It made him feel sick.
He remembered how much she hated hospitals after watching a horror film about a haunted abandoned hospital.
He seemed to remember everything again.
He walked closer to her, reaching for her hand.
"Hello Aly..." He whispered.
Tears fell.
Her hand was vaguely warm.
He squeezed it.
"I love you sis. I know you hated me saying that so much but I was scared about losing you. Now I guess I was right to be scared." He murmured, fresh tears falling.
He bent to his knees to be on level with her.
He pressed his head onto the bed she was on.
He never would admit it but she looked exactly like their mother.
Her glossy thick black hair and ruby red eyes from her.
He silently sobbed, clutching her now cold hand.
Due to his sorrow, he had drowned out all noise but now as he looked up he saw her heartbeat slow on the monitor.
Alec wiped his tears to see it clearer.
The line went up and down lamely before going in a straight line.
The monitor led out a cold and loud, beep.
He was ushered out the room while a nurse hit the emergency button.
Doctors and nurses rushed to his sister.
His sister's corpse.
A doctor came out of the room, his head bowed in a practiced way, his eyes avoiding his.
"I'm sorry for your loss." Was all he said.
Alec didn't look at him he didn't look at anything.
He held his head in his hands, crying lightly this time.
He didn't have the energy to cry properly now.
He'd have to do that later.
"Thank you for trying to help her." He murmured, his voice thick.
The doctor nodded and without a word left him standing there.
He cast a look at the doctors and nurses rolling her bed out of the ward.
As she came past, they stopped infront of him.
He bent down to take her hand, giving it a squeeze again and a kiss and letting her be taken away.
The child in him roared to cry, shout, throw a tantrum or run after her bed.
He couldn't.
It wasn't what Aly would of wanted.
He made his way back to the front desk.
They gave their condolences and asked which school he went to so they could phone them as it was still school hours.
"Yandere High School."
The receptionists raised their eyebrows in a mocking but impressed way as if they hadn't expected that.
After the phone call with his school he was permitted to go home.
They did the voice message to Alec's mother when he left in case it triggered him.
Amelia had sobbed and cried but made it clear that being there for her daughter was not an option.
Switch Back To Alec's POV:
I stumbled my way to my car.
What do I do?
How can I carry on without her?
I slammed my head onto the wheel, and idea since it still ached from the several incidents before and from crying.
I instead took out this book and started writing.
I know I'd have to call Evelyn and Kyran.
I'll do it now.
beep.
beep.
beep.
"Hello?"
