❛ THE DRIVE IN ! ❜

𝓐urora found herself in her summer room, sprawled across the soft mattress as she thought back to what the deb girls were saying about Jeremiah. As much as she didn't want to admit it, she felt threatened. The idea of other girls pursuing Jeremiah so openly made her heart sink to the bottom of her stomach. It wasn't a good feeling at all. A feeling she chose to bury deep.

The Fisher boy was her first everything, and vice versa. Her first kiss, first time, first crush, all of it. No matter how much she denied it, feelings were there. The sole reason she jumps from guy to guy is because she searches for him in everyone. Maybe it was the fact that she was madly in love with him. She would never be caught admitting it, though. The only person that truly knew how Rory felt was Belly. That's why the girls are so close, they know each other's deepest secrets.

"You look really cute. You are gonna have so much fun tonight." Susannah peeked into the teenage girl's bedroom, grinning from ear to ear.

"I've been on tons of dates, so if this is where you give me the talk about consent Laurel already beat you to it!" Aurora raised her hands, backing up in an attempt to get away from the woman. Susannah furrowed her eyebrows in confusion, that was not what she wanted to talk about at all. Not even close.

"No, that's not. . .I can't believe she gave you that talk!" Susannah was in disbelief.

"What talk?" Belly walked into the room, all cute and innocent. The two blondes shared a look.

"Trust me, you don't wanna know." Rory shook her head, wanting a quick subject change.

"Well, you ready?" Belly let out a small but confused chuckle, raising her eyebrows.

"Yeah," The older teen grabbed the younger one, leaving the woman in the room alone.

As they walked past the living room, they spotted the three boys bunched up on the couch as they challengingly played video games.

"See you guys later." They spoke at the same time, giggling at their unplanned synchronicity.

Jeremiah was the first to look up from the game, his eyes piercing through Aurora's soul. He abandoned the game with no hesitation, smiling as he grabbed the blonde by the waist and twirled her.

"Are you kidding? No, yeah, fine. Just abandon the game completely, Jere." Steven complained.

"You ladies look hot." Jeremiah told them with a wink. "Hey, stop flirting with them." Steven stepped into his big brother mode, protective of the girls.

"Shut up, Steven." Belly told her brother off. "No, you shut up. You both look good though." Steven looked back at them, not able to deny it.

"Aw, thanks, guys." Rory poked both Steven and Jeremiah, earning looks from them both.

"You driving with or you're meeting us there?" Jeremiah asked the two. "We're not going to the book party. We're going to the drive in." Belly quickly told them, checking her phone as she received a text.

"With who?" Conrad finally took his attention off of the game, eyeing the two girls in curiosity. They both ignored him, laughing as they left.

"This is where we split up." Rory stated, noticing that their rides had pulled in. The boys held a small but brief convo as they waited for the girls.

"See you there." Belly went and got in Cameron's car. Rory got into Marcus' car and they headed to their destination. The ride was less than ten minutes since the drive in was pretty close to the Fisher's house. Marcus and Aurora chatted the whole ride, getting to know each other more, even playing a few rounds of 'I spy'. The sun went down almost as soon as the movie started.

"I can't believe we kissed a year ago and now here we are on a date." Marcus piped up, finally feeling confident enough to bring it up again. The night he met her was actually the first time he had snuck out and it was the first time he had ever kissed a girl.

"I know right. We were two totally different people back then." Aurora smiled at the memory. Last summer was the summer she started to take interest in boys that weren't Jeremiah Fisher.

They sat in a comfortable silence for a good fifteen minutes after that. The blonde girl eventually yawned, no longer being able to hide the fact that the outdated movie was uninteresting to her. The boy next to her could only laugh because he agreed.

"What? Is there something on my face?" Aurora blushed in embarrassment as she caught Marcus staring at her from the corner of her eyes.

"No, you're just fine. I find this movie kinda boring too. Cameron picked it." The boy mentioned, and Aurora let out a small sigh of relief.

"Oh, thank God, I didn't wanna complain in case you thought it was good. But him and Belly are perfect for each other because she loves this movie." The teenage girl exclaimed, it wasn't that she didn't like the movie. It's just that she watched it so many times to the point where it was no longer entertaining.

"I've watched this so many times." Marcus said with boredom. "Same. It's like you can read my mind or something." Aurora bit her lip lightly, intrigued by how much they had in common with one another.

"That's because I can." Marcus joked. "Oh, yeah? What am I thinking right now?" Rory leaned towards him, wiggling her eyebrows.

The two just stared in each other's eyes after that. Marcus didn't know what to say to her. Their sudden closeness left his heart pounding. He was sure she could hear it if she listened hard enough.

Before he could open his mouth to give a response, she kissed him. It wasn't a sweet, innocent little kiss like the one they shared a year ago. This one was more passionate, leaving Marcus breathless. He pulled away the tiniest bit, their noses still bumping against each others, and he smiled.

"You were thinking about kissing me." The boy mumbled lowly with a smirk, his heart racing.

Instead of answering his question, Rory kissed him again. His hands slowly found her waist as she cupped his jaw in her delicate hands in order to deepen the kiss. Both of his hands lowered to her hips and he lifted her up onto his lap, shifting all of her weight onto him. He bit her lip teasingly a few times.

Aurora began to run her hands through his luscious hair, only stopping when a familiar car pulled up next to them. She pushed Marcus away from her out of instinct, apologizing immediately after.

"Could you go get us drinks, please?" The girl asked Marcus, her cheeks red from embarrassment. "Yeah, sure." He noticed the boys teasing her and had to remember they were her family members. As he left to get their drinks, she jumped out of the car along with Belly, who seemed just as pissed at them.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Belly was more than annoyed, and she had every right to be. They were being such dickheads.

"Just catching the end of our favorite movie."  Steven laughed as all three of the boys made kissing noises to mock the two girls.

"You're so lame. Just leave." Aurora noticed the irritated look Jeremiah sent her, but it was so brief that she almost thought she imagined it.

"Oh, Rory, relax! We were just joking around." Jeremiah explained, forcing out a laugh to conceal his true feelings. To be honest, he really felt like knives were stabbing him in the chest repeatedly.

"Steven, if you don't leave, I swear to God— I will send everyone in this car your Dramione fanfic." Belly threatened with a glare.

"You wouldn't." Steven's face went blank, no longer smiling or laughing.

"Oh, he spent an entire chapter talking about Draco's wand." The girl exposed him.

"You disgust me." Aurora teased him along with Conrad and Jeremiah, even though she was still mad at the three idiots. They ruined Belly's first date, and maybe she was also mad about the hot make out session that they so spitefully ruined as well.

"Hey, seriously, please leave." Belly pleaded to Conrad. He instantly had a look of regret on his face, no longer playing around with them.

"Alright. Let's go, guys." Conrad gave in. "Wait, what?" Jeremiah groaned in annoyance. "Are you kidding me? You were the one who wanted to come, Conrad." Steven was confused.

"Just go, you jerks." Rory scoffed at them. Steven eventually took the hint and drove away, leaving them to their dates who had just returned with drinks.

"Thanks," The girls took the drinks and went back to the cars with their dates.

𝓣he first thing Aurora Monroe did when she got back to the beach house was shower. Being out late at night in Cousins always left her skin feeling weird for some reason. She stood in the shower for at least an hour as she let all of her favorite songs blast from her portable speaker. A continuous knock at the door is what caused her to finally get out, wrapping a towel around her body as she opened the door, revealing none other than Jeremiah Fisher. What a shocker.

"Go away." Aurora rolled her eyes. She attempted to slam the door in his face but his foot stopped it. "Not so fast, princess." Jeremiah teased, easing his way into the bathroom with her. He closed the door behind him and she pretended not to notice as he locked it.

"What do you want?" The girl questioned, honestly confused. First he popped up and ruined her date, now he's interrupting her shower.

"To apologize." The boy mumbled, earning a scoff from the blonde girl. "You can't leave until you accept my apology." He told her.

"I don't have time for this. I need to go get dressed." The girl tried to get out of the bathroom, but Jeremiah blocked the door with his body.

"Just hear me out? Pretty please?" The boy was damn near begging at this point. She couldn't say no to his pouting face and he knew that.

"Fine, I'll listen." The blonde girl held her towel in place, waiting for his explanation.

"I want to say that I'm so sorry about what happened tonight. It was childish and stupid. Honestly, I was just playing around. So, to make up for ruining your movie night, I put on your favorite rom-coms and made you popcorn. Plus, I even bought your favorite snacks. It's all set up in my room. Will you let me make it up to you?" The Fisher boy proposed with those cute little puppy dog eyes he always does.

"Aw, Jere, of course." Rory felt her heart flutter at his actions to make things right with her. How could she stay mad at him when he knew everything about her? He knew exactly how to win her over.

"Ok, cool. Go get dressed and meet me." The boy finally let her leave. She was silently cheering about that because it was getting hot in there.

The blonde girl went to her room to get dressed. She put on a plain white crop top and paired it with her pink and white Hello Kitty PJ pants.

As she entered Jeremiah's room, she admired his attempt at making it look like a theater. He placed his projector on the wall and all the lights were off, then on his bed laid him and all her favorite snacks. In that moment she felt like marrying him.

"You like it?" The boy grinned. "Are you kidding me? I love it!" Rory jumped in Jere's bed, laying next to him as he pressed start on their first movie.

He snaked his arm around her shoulders, pulling the girl closer. She snuggled up next to him, laying her head on his chest. They spent the night enjoying each other's presence and watching movies.
