A/N: I feel like this chapter is gonna be short, since I'll be skipping Tommy's part were he fights past Ranger versions of himself. Enjoy!

CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR - FIGHTING SPIRIT

𝓣𝙰𝙽𝙽𝙴𝚁

WE WERE AT THE LAB. "What's up, Hayley? Where's Dr. O.?" Ethan asked. "Yeah, not that we'd be able to see him if he was here." Kira added. "Hey, guys." Dr. Oliver said. We all turned to see an exercise machine going up and down. "I'll never get used to that." I muttered. "Hey, Dr. O., no offense, but what's the point of building your biceps if nobody's gonna see them?" Conner asked. The exercise machine stopped.

"Well, that's the reason why I called you here. Hayley found a way to bring me back to normal." Dr. Oliver answered. "Well, that's great." Kira exclaimed. "What are we waiting for? Let's do it." Ethan said. "Hold on, everybody. Tommy, I told you, I think the remolecularizer may make you visible again, but I haven't found a power source strong enough for it yet." Hayley explained to him.

"I've been thinking about that. Maybe we should use this." Dr. Oliver said as he grabbed a box. Hayley took it and opened it, revealing Dr. Oliver's black dino gem. "No way. Forget it." Hayley said without hesitation. "We gotta try something. My dino gem is the most powerful source of energy we have." Dr. Oliver informed.

""Powerful" being the operative word. I have no idea how your body will react to it. It's way to risky." Hayley stated. "Hayley, we don't have a choice." Dr. Oliver said as Hayley sighed in response. "Okay, Hayley, I'm ready." Dr. Oliver said. Hayley placed a blanket over Dr. Oliver as we got everything ready. "For the record, I still think this is a bad idea." Hayley informed. "And for the record, I agree with Hayley." I added. "Don't worry, I'll be fine." Dr. Oliver told us. "See you soon, Dr. O." Ethan said. "Literally, I hope." He added.

Hayley and I placed chest pads on Dr. Oliver. "Okay..." Hayley said as she placed a holder with the dino gem in. "Good to go." Dr. Oliver told her. She placed the holder in as Conner, Kira, Ethan, and I waited. "Initiating sequence." Hayley said. That's when Dr. Oliver started breathing heavily. "Is everything okay?" Kira asked. Dr. Oliver continued breathing heavily and that's when the machine fried. "It's overloading!" Kira exclaimed.

"What's happening?" I asked. "The energy attenuator's shut down. He's receiving full current." Hayley replied. The machine kept explo ding until Hayley finally stopped it. "His dino gem's destroyed." She said. That's when Dr. Oliver showed up, visible. We all rushed towards him. "Tommy. Tommy? Can you hear me?" Hayley asked. There was no response as Dr. Oliver just laid there, unconscious.

We were at Reefside Hospital. All of us were surrounding Dr. Oliver. "What's wrong with him, doctor?" Hayley asked. "I have no idea, Hayley. He's — Well, his vitals are stable, but his — his brain patterns are wildly erratic." Dr. Walsh answered. "Can you get him out of it?" Kira asked. "Yeah, is there some way you can?" I added. "We're trying, but he's not responding to anything." Dr. Walsh replied. "But he's going to be okay, right?" Ethan asked.

"I'm not gonna lie to you. The longer he stays like this, the more at risk he is." Dr. Walsh stated. "Thanks, Dr. Walsh." Kira said. "Your friend's gonna get the best care possible." Dr. Walsh told us as he left the room. That's when the TV came on. "Breaking news. The city is under attack by a terrifying creature! Citizens are advised to stay indoors until further notice." The man on TV said.

"I'll stay with him." Hayley told us. "We'll be back as soon as we can." Conner promised. We left the hospital to fight Terrorsaurus. Conner attacked him. "At last! Just who I wanted to see!" Terrorsaurus exclaimed. He then attacked Conner. "Tyranno Staff!" Conner shouted as he got out his weapon. He jumped off his Cycle and began fighting Terrorsaurus.

"I thought the last Terrorsaurus was ugly, but you even got him beat!" Conner exclaimed as he was attacked. Then, Kira, Ethan, and I came in on our Cycles and fired lasers at him. Terrorsaurus continued attacking Conner. Kira, Ethan, and I attacked him next. But we were attacked as well. "Fire!" We heard Trent shout. "Trent!" Conner said. "Great! Another one!" Terrorsaurus exclaimed. He attacked Trent as he fell off his ATV. "Trent!" I shouted. That's when Trent demorphed.

Terrorsaurus attacked Ethan. Then, he attacked Conner, Kira, and I. "This is too easy!" Terrorsaurus claimed. That's when Conner, Kira, and I demorphed just like Trent did. "Hovercraft Cycle!" Ethan shouted. "Bring it!" Terrorsaurus said. Terrorsaurus then attacked Ethan as he finally got demorphed. "Ethan!" Conner said as we helped him up.

"This guy has worked my last nerve. Ready!" Conner said. "Ready!" All of us replied. "White Ranger..." Trent started off. "Dino Thunder, Power Up! HA!" The rest of us shouted. We tried to morph but we didn't. "Huh?" Ethan said. "Hey! What's going on?" Conner asked. "That thing fried our morphing energy." Ethan answered. "Not so tough now, are you?" Terrorsaurus asked. He then flew away. "He's gone!" Conner exclaimed. Cassidy and Devin ran up to us.

"Hey, guys. Oh, my goodness, what happened to you guys?" Cassidy asked. "Uh, things are a bit fuzzy, but I'd say a giant mutant attack." Kira replied. "Didn't the Power Rangers come help you out?" Cassidy asked. Trent chuckled. "No. I guess they... couldn't make it." Trent answered. "Yeah. No Power Rangers anywhere near here." Conner said.

"Didn't see them." I added, shaking my head. "That's weird. They usually show up whenever anyone needs them." Devin informed. "Well, maybe they're at the laundromat washing those shiny suits." Kira stated. "Yeah..." Devin muttered, not believing her. We were all back at Reefside Hospital, including Trent. "Any news, doctor? Is there anything you can tell us?" Hayley asked. "I'm sorry, Hayley. No change." Dr. Walsh replied as he left the room.

"I wish there was something we could do. I feel completely helpless." Kira said. Ethan, Trent and I nodded. "Dr. Oliver's pretty tough, Kira. I mean, he gave me a C-minus on my term paper." Conner said. "And he was being generous." Kira stated. "Breaking news. The creature is back." The man on TV said. "I had a feeling he'd be back." Ethan said. "There's nothing we can do about it." Trent added.

"Where are the Power Rangers?" The man on TV continued. "Again, I ask, where are the Power Rangers?" The man on TV asked again. "That's it. You guys can stay here and watch this, but I can't." Conner informed. "Hold up." Ethan said. "We're going with you." Kira added as we followed him out of the room. "Hey, where are you going? You don't stand a chance without your powers." Hayley told us. "That wouldn't stop Dr. O., and it's not gonna stop us either." Ethan replied as we left the room.

We arrived where Terrorsaurus was. "All right, freak, we're gonna stop you right here and now!" Conner informed. "Tough talk from a bunch of powerless Rangers." Terrorsaurus said. We all got into a fighting stance. We headed to attack him but he kept attacking us until we fell to the ground. "You are through!" Terrorsaurus exclaimed.

We all got up and started to fight him. But he only threw us down again. "This is pathetic!" Terrorsaurus said. We kept gettting attacked by Terrorsaurus. "It's over." Terrorsaurus said as we were on the ground. That's when Dr. Oliver showed up. "Dr. O.!" Conner exclaimed. "You're alive!" Kira said. "Not for long!" Terrorsaurus said. "Dino Thunder, Power up! HA!" Dr. Oliver shouted as he morphed. Dr. Oliver started attacking Terrorsaurus. He fell to the ground. "Super Dino Mode!" Dr. Oliver shouted.

"Whoa! When did he get Super Dino powers?" Conner asked. "I don't know, but he picked a good time to bust 'em out." Ethan replied. Dr. Oliver and Terrorsaurus started fighting again. We watched as he slammed Terrorsaurus into a wall. "Brachio Staff! Energy orb, now!" Dr. Oliver said as he attacked Terrorsaurus and he was finally destroyed. Something then broke as all of our powers returned to us.

"Check it out!" Conner said. "Sweet! We got our powers back!" Ethan exclaimed. "Dr. O.!" Kira shouted as we ran up to him. "Okay, what was that about?" Conner asked. "You wouldn't believe me if I told you. Huh?" Dr. Oliver responded. That's when Terrorsaurus grew big. "You didn't think I'd give up that easily, did you?" Terrorsaurus asked. "You think you four can finish this guy?" Dr. Oliver asked us.

"Totally. Ready!" Conner said. "Ready!" Kira, Ethan, and I said. "Dino Thunder, Power Up! HA!" We all shouted. We morphed and headed into our Zords. We then created our Megazord. Terrorsaurus attacked us. Our Megazord fell to the ground. "If Dr. Oliver can win his fight, so can we!" Kira exclaimed. "You're right, Kira." Ethan said.

"Let's give it everything we've got!" Conner said. "Super Dino Mode!" We all shouted. "Dino Drill!" Conner shouted. "Full Power!" We all yelled. We attacked Terrorsaurus until he was finally destroyed. We were back at the lab. "Okay, let me get this straight. Three of your old Ranger powers came to you in a dream?" Ethan asked. "And you had to fight them to get your life back?" Conner asked. "This is awesome. It's like all the Power Ranger—" Ethan said. We all began talking at once.

"Guys... you know... I just wanna thank you guys from the bottom of my heart, for hanging in there with me through all this. It was tough, but you guys came through. It means a lot to me." Dr. Oliver told us. "He's right. You should be really proud of yourselves." Hayley added. Conner sniffed. Ethan looked at him. "Are you crying?" Ethan asked. "No." Conner replied.

"We're just really glad to have you back, Dr. O."
