For the next couple of weeks, the trio trained; as requested by Wing, and Valentine sat on the floor of her room and had her hands on either side of a glass cup, her marigold eyes narrowed in concentration.

A beautiful emerald green leaf sat in the middle of the cup, surrounded by water; it was just regular sink water from the bathroom, and a gentle sensation electrified across her skin and it felt as if water was gently caressing her body, the clear coloring of her Ren washing over her like a serene waterfall.

As the clear power gently swept over the glass, the girl watched as the water began to ripple gently and slowly, the leaf began to gradually spin.

With a gentle smile fluttering across her lips, her Ren came to a stop and eyes of lilies looked up, connecting with those of obsidian as a pleased chirp filled her ears; a gentle and pleased giggle passing through her lips.

Clapping her hands together, Valentine's eyes shone with achievement and she gently pushed the cup of water towards her feathered friend.

"Okay Zeus, it's your turn",The blonde stated, watching as her companion let out a squawk of excitement as he stood in front of the glass.

Weeks had flown by and now, the children; plus Zeus, stood in front Wing's residence once more and he looked at all of them; wondering just how far they had progressed in their training.

'Now, show me what you have accomplished',Wing stated and pushed up his glasses, his gaze landing on the silverette standing by Valentine's side,'Killua, you're first'

Walking closer to the table, the silverette shrugged his shoulders and placed his hands in front of the cup, a small smile on his lips.

'Okay',Killua said, his eyes gleaming with confidence and he slowly activated his Ren.

The serene power covered his body like a layer of skin and gently flowed over him like a river, as clear as a melody and as gentle as the wind. After a few moments, that all came to a stop as Killua stuffed his hands inside of his pockets and stepped back, a pleased grin on his face.

'Okay, I'm done',He stated, his cerulean eyes gleaming with accomplishment.

Blinking in shock, Valentine's lips parted at the speed he had done that in and the three slowly walked towards the table, dipping their fingers in the water.

A sweet flavor bursted across her tastebuds and a pleased him left her as she left her finger in her mouth, her eyes closed with glee.

'It's so sweet!'

'Wow, it tastes like honey!',Gon piped up.

It tasted very sweet; kind of like a strawberry dipped in sugar, if that was the sweetest thing to compare it too.

Smiling proudly, eyes of the ocean found themselves locked onto a certain golden-eyed beauty and couldn't look away, before Killua found his proud smile slowly softening into something gentle.

The way that her eyes were gently shining as her lips pulled up into a simple smile, small dimples indented into her cheeks as her teeth shone through her parted, strawberry pink lips.

The glistening rays of the sun gleamed in through the windows and lit the girl in a gentle, yellow hue and it seemed as if an angelic light surrounded her body as she smiled.

The silverette found himself not wanting to look away as his heart hammered within his chest and a fluttering feeling gently blossomed in his stomach, but alas, his gaze was torn away from her as someone cleared their throat; but the proud and bashful smile remained on Killua's face.

'Excellent. Zushi, you're next'

'Osu!'

The smaller boy held his hands on either side of the glass and strained as glistening sweat began to slowly fall from his temple, down his face.

The leaf began to turn ever so slowly and after a few seconds passed, a tired huff left the boy's lips and his shoulders slumped, his aura slowly fading away.

'That's the best I can manage',Zushi stated and his words came out as small huffs, clearly out of breath.

'That's fine, but it won't be enough to pass',Wing told the boy, watching as his shoulders slumped,'You'll need to train more'

'Osu'

Leaning over to get a closer look at the leaf, the trio glanced at once another before looking up at Zushi, giving the boy proud smiles.

They were glad that he was improving.

Turning his head towards Gon, Wing nodded towards the green-haired boy and watched as he perked up.

'Gon, you're next'

The spiky haired boy threw his arms out and slightly bowed his body.

'Osu!'

Taking a deep breath, Gon placed his hands on either side of the glass and stared at the glass in concentration, activating his Ren.

Even though his Ren was active for a few seconds, the water bursted out of the glass and cracked it in the process, a puddle of water hurriedly forming on the surface of the table.

Rushing forward, Wing told the boy to stop and Valentine felt a bead of sweat slowly fall down the side of her face as Gon snapped out of whatever trance he was in and immediately stopped his Ren.

Covering the broken glass with a rag, Wing pushed up his glasses and slowly looked up at Gon, giving the boy a gentle smile as he looked at him with a guilty expression.

After Wing had grabbed a new cup, it was now Valentine and Zeus's turn.

But the girl had let her beloved companion go first.

Staring intently at the glass with beady eyes of obsidian, Zeus's Nen spiked and formed around his body in a gentle wave of serenity, the water slowly rose and spilled over the side in a fountain of a stream.

After cleaning up, it was Valentine's turn.

Slowly, the young girl placed her hands on either side of the glass and gently closed her eyes, her Ren activating; feeling as if a gentle stream of water was washing over her body like a waterfall.

Eyes of blazing gold snapped open, her Ren reaching towards the cup and everyone watched as the leaf began to slowly spin, ripples of water edging away from it, before it gradually began to spin quicker.

Water sloshed over the sides of the cup as the leaf continued to gradually spin quicker.

Faster and faster the leaf spun and before they all knew it, the green object flew out of the side of the cup, glass shattering as Valentine hurriedly reached up her hands, covering her face as shards of glass exploded throughout the room.

She didn't notice until now, but her head was gently pressed into a chest and a pair of arms covered her body, as well as her arms, a hand placed on the back of her head as the person kept her close to their chest; protecting her from the flying shards.

Once it was clear that the commotion was over, the arms around her slowly loosened their grip and Valentine slowly pulled away from the person's chest and looked up, her eyes gleaming.

Molten gold and eyes of the sky connected as one, the gaze sweeping over her body as they checked for any injuries that could've possibly formed upon the girl if he didn't pull her close quick enough.

Finding nothing, a barely audible sigh of relief left lips of beige coloration and Killua's hands slowly fell to her shoulders, relieved that she wasn't hurt.

But soon enough, the girl felt a harsh hit fall upon the back of her head and she let out a pained whimper, reaching up her hands as she slowly rubbed the back of her head.

"Owww!",Valentine whined, a pout on her beautiful lips,"Killua, that hurt!"

An irk mark formed on the boy's head as his icy gaze locked onto her golden one, a scowl on his lips.

'You didn't have to go all out, you dumbass!',Killua scolded and his face showed that he was angry with her, but his eyes told a different story,'You could've gotten hurt!'

A drop of sweat fell down the side of her temple and Valentine rubbed the back of her head, a bashful laugh leaving her lips.

He was completely right, her Nen had spiked too much and that caused the accident.

"I'm sorry, guys",Valentine apologized, but it was in vain since everyone else told her that it wasn't a big deal.

A smile was on Wing's face and he looked at the blonde with a proud look on his face, which shocked the girl greatly.

He wasn't mad?

'Excellent',Wing stated, looking at the three with a proud expression,'Gon, Valentine, Zeus, Killua, today is your graduation day'

The trio smiled excitedly and looked towards one another, a loud and excited chirp filling the air.

Raising his fist in the air, Gon watched as the other two raised their fists on either side and Zeus slowly hovered besides them, bumping his beak into their hands.

'Also, Gon, Valentine',Wing spoke up, causing the two to look towards him,'You've both passed the secret Hunters Exam, congratulations'

Tilting his head to the side, Gon furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and let out a small hum of curiosity.

'The secret Hunters Exam?'

'Correct, you've passed'

Confused by what he meant, the two questioned the man and he began to explain it to them.

'One cannot be a full fledged Hunter without knowing how to use Nen. Such skill and power are requirements of a terribly dangerous profession. One of your duties as a Hunter will be attempting to apprehend evil poachers and other such criminals',Wing explained,'You must be strong enough to fight crime if you are to be a true deterrent, but this power is highly destructive when abused. Revealing the existence of Nen during the Exam would be quite risky. Therefore, only those who have already passed the Main Exam are tested'

With his arms crossed over his chest, Killua had his eyes closed and slowly reached up, placing his hands behind his head.

'Oh, I get it',Killua stated,'You would've tested us, Gon and Valentine at least, no matter what happened, wouldn't you?'

Glancing at the duo, Killua watched as Valentine smiled sweetly and Gon tilted his head to the side, a small smile forming on his lips.

'Yes',Wing answered, a smile on his lips,'I should also have mentioned that the Grand Master of Shingen-ryu happens to be Chairman Netero. The master has told me so much about you'

A dumbfounded expression formed on the trios faces and Valentine fell over in shock, feeling as if a heavy weight was dropped onto her head.

Mouths dropped in their own shock, Killua and Gon slowly turned towards one another and looked down at Valentine.

'That goofy old man?',Killua grumbled and helped the girl up from the floor.

Blinking her eyes slowly, Valentine felt the shock travel throughout her system and she let out a small noise of confusion, while Gon's eyes were blown wide with surprise.

Hearing Wing call Killua's name, Valentine snapped out of her trance of shock and the two turned towards the man, the boy in question dropping his arms from behind his head to gaze up at the man.

'What?'

'I want you to go back and take the Hunter Exam again',Wing stated,'You'll definitely pass next time'

A look of shock formed on Killua's face and his lips parted, eyes of ice widening in surprise.

Feeling arms wrap around his waist, the silverette looked down; waves of the ocean and rays of the sun clashed as one, pupils shrinking as Killua's eyes widened at the large smile on her face.

"I agree with Mr. Wing, Killua!",Valentine encouraged, her pearl white teeth glistening as she smiled,"There's no chance that you could fail"

Nodding in agreement to her words, Gon brightly smiled at the silverette and let out a shout of agreement.

A red hue coated the boy's cheeks and Killua was quite flattered by their words, a bashful look on his face.

His eyes were wide as they stared into her own.

The girl's golden eyes sparkled like stars in the midnight sky and glistened like a pool of gems. Her smile radiated nothing but warmth and he felt his body warm as a side effect, his lips parting slightly from the shock.

Her words and expression let him know that she believed in him; but now that he thinks about it, since the day the two met Valentine had always believed in him no matter what.

Even if he didn't believe in himself, the blonde girl was always there to lift his spirits and convince him to believe in himself.

If they believed in him, then he knew that he would succeed in passing the Exam.

'At this point, you are more then qualified enough',Wing spoke up,'I can guarantee'

Looking up at the man with wide eyes, Killua slowly looked away and a bashful blush coating his cheeks.

'Well, if I feel up to it',Killua stated, bashful.

Letting out a small laugh, Valentine watched as his icy eyes locked onto her golden one's once more, before a small pinch bit at her skin, causing the girl to jump.

'S-Shut up',The boy stuttered, clenching his jaw as he glanced away from her and his cheeks bursted with a flaming heat.

Smiling at the two, Gon's eyes shone and even though he didn't want to look away from their interaction, he looked towards Mr. Wing.

'Have you heard anything about the other people who passed?',Gon questioned.

'I have'

Perking up, excitement rushed through her body and Valentine's eyes glistened, wondering how Kurapika and Leorio were doing.

She also wondered if they had learned about Nen as well.

'Hanzo and Kurapika have learned Nen from other teachers',Wing stated and hearing this, Valentine gently smiled; she was glad,'Pokkle on the other hand, is struggling with Ren'

Hearing the man's name, Valentine deadpanned and a small grumble left her lips as she thought of him.

She remembered what he had said back at the end of the Exam when they had all gotten their license.

'Leorio has begun studying for the medical school exam. Hisoka and Illumi were already well versed in the use of Nen, so they were qualified, of course',Wing explained, looking down at the children.

Hearing about Kurapika and Leorio's achievements, a small smile washed onto Valentine's lips and she was quite proud of them.

But, she also missed them dearly.

'So, Kurapika and Leorio are working hard!'

'Yeah',Killua said, a small smile on his face.

Tilting his head down, white light reflected in the glass of the man's glasses and Wing slowly pushed them up his nose.

'That's not all, Gon'

Looking back up towards their teacher, Gon's eyebrows rose slightly and his smile grew a bit bigger.

'I have one bit of advice',Wing stated and thus, causing Gon to let out a breath of curiosity,'When you fight Hisoka tomorrow, don't push yourself too hard. Alright?'

Nodding his head, Gon's eyes hardened and his smile remained on his lips as he agreed.

'Right!'

And with that, the three children looked towards one another and smiled with glee, proud that they had all made it this far.
