Blazing heat surrounded the area in a shroud of light, but it didn't bother the five that stood within the canyon and dirt littered their bodies from the continuous training sessions they endured.
As soon as Gon's powered fist had made contact with the large Boulder, the rock had exploded into a multitude of pieces and caused both Killua and Valentine to gasp in awe.
'I see..'
Hitting his fist into the palm of his hand, Gon smiled lightly and then went onto the next task.
'Show me rock, Janken- Paper!'
Throwing his hand out with his palm facing up, the boy had expected his aura to go flying and yet, it remained in a ball-like shape at the palm of his hand, causing the four watching to blank.
With wide and curious eyes, Gon looked towards Biscuit with a look of awkwardness and hesitantly smiled.
'Bisky.. how do I make my Nen fly?'
Stumbling in shock, Killua would've fallen over if not for Valentine gently wrapping her hands around his arm and lifting him up so that he stood straight.
Placing her hands on her hips, Biscuit looked towards Gon and wiped the expression off of her face.
'Train more',The older blonde stated.
'So, paper's an Emitter technique?'
Humming in agreement, the green-haired boy stood up straight and Gon lifted his hand, staring at his fist as the Nen surrounding it slowly disappeared.
'Uh-huh and Scissors is a Transmuter',Gon explained,'Pretty soon, I wanna try to cut through rock!'
Smiling slightly, Biscuit nodded and explained that it was an interesting technique, but that it was a childish idea.
'I can focus my Nen in my fist, but you know how it takes a lot of time?',The chocolate eyed boy explained,'I was trying to think of a good way to spend that time. When you were talking about the game, it just hit me because I like that game'
Nodding with an impressed hum, Biscuit closed her eyes and tilted her head down for a moment, a small smile on her face.
'It's important to trust in your instincts',She stated,'Those gut feelings play a big role in techniques that enroll in multiple categories. The real key is that it feels right to you'
Noticing that they weren't getting any attention, the silverette stepped closed to Valentine's side and their arms just about brushed up against one another, before he brought his fist to his mouth, clearing his throat.
Humming in confusion at the noise, Biscuit turned her head towards the two and saw the smiles on their faces, before Killua gestured between them.
Looking down at the blonde, the silverette motioned for her to go first and looking into his glistening eyes, Valentine knew that he believed she had grown considerably stronger; that her technique was amazing.
Breathing in shakily, Valentine turned towards the two and took one of her daggers out of her shoe.
Slowly, her eyes fluttered closed as the palm of her left hand reached down and just about skimmed the tip of the daggers blade, causing beads of blood to drip from the deep cut.
Strands of blood separated into two thick sections behind her back and as soon as she had snapped her eyes open, the thick color of deep maroon soon began to glow an elegant shade of magenta, before bursting into cerise colored flames.
Eyes widening in surprise, the boys let out noises of awe and Gon's eyes sparkled in amazement as he watched what had happened, noticing that the raging flames didn't radiate heat towards them.
Which confused him a bit.
Staring at the flames in wonder, Biscuit gasped in awe and a smile slowly stretched across her face at the beauty; but destructiveness, of the ability.
Noticing the way her hand glowed as soon as the blood had been set aflame, Killua hummed slightly and blinked slowly, wondering what was happening.
It were as if her hand had actually heated up and glowed with the same heat that had been used to set her blood on fire.
Next, the silverette placed his hands apart from one another and soon enough, sparks began to emit between his palms, causing the four to let out exclamations of awe; Zeus had only let out an impressed chirp, the blonde's eyes sparkling slightly.
'Well, this is all I've got right now',Killua admitted,'But if I charge it up, it's pretty strong'
Running towards his friends, Gon's eyes glistened and his expression shone brightly as he smiled at the two, looking between them.
'That was awesome, you guys!',The boy exclaimed and then, looked towards Killua,'You're like an electric eel'
Hearing the comparison, the silverette's face dropped into a deadpan and he slowly turned to look at Valentine, watching as she bit down on her lower lip, her eyes scrunched up as she tilted her head on the side.
It was clear to the boy that she was imagining him next to an electric eel and was trying to compare the two, but it clearly wasn't working as her confused expression deepened.
'That's an awful analogy, come on man',Killua stated and placed his hands on his hips, before turning towards the blonde girl with a smile on his face,'But, what you did was really cool, Val'
'It was awesome! But, how did you think of making your blood do that?',Gon questioned and tilted his head to the side with a confused look.
With a nervous chuckle, a small drop of sweat fell down the side of her face and Valentine gave the boys a closed eyed, anxious smile.
She didn't really know how to explain what made her want to learn how to do that and seeing the nervousness that radiated off of her body, Killua quickly changed the subject; drawing any attention away from the girl.
Which she appreciated.
They continued to talk for a while and in the middle of their conversation, the silverette turned towards the girl with a ripped piece of cloth; which she noticed was taken from the bottom of his dirt-covered tank top, but it was surprisingly clean.
The edge of the bottom must've folded into his shorts somehow while they were training.
Gently taking her hand in his own, the boy began to slowly wrap the cloth around the bleeding cut in her skin and a frown was on his face as he watched the light blue cloth slowly begin to become dotted over with spots of maroon; the color gradually taking over the light blue shade until it was no more.
Smiling up at the boy, Valentine's bright expression never faded as she closed her eyes and lightly tilted her head to the side, a light laugh leaving her lips.
Even though she couldn't see him, Killua gently smiled back down at the girl and a soft expression covered his face as his eyes softened.
Noticing the way they interacted, Biscuit's eyes glistened as she watched the three and she knew that they had made an amazing team.
To be honest, she was surprised that Killua could smile at all because of the conclusion she had come to once she saw his ability and looking towards the gleaming blonde in front of the silverette, Biscuit soon knew the reason.
'Well, what do you say, shall we call it a day?',She questioned and watched as her students looked towards her with confused expressions,'It's a bit early, but how about a party?'
With confused expression on their faces, the three slowly blinked and a confused shriek left Zeus's beak as he tilted his head to the side.
'What do you guys do to celebrate back home?'
Thinking over her question, a small frown pulled at Valentine's lips and she looked to the side, her gaze turned towards the ground.
Her family never really celebrated anything and the only memory she had of actually celebrating something was when Valentine was five years old; it was her birthday.
But now, the only ones who ever wished her a happy birthday were her siblings and her grandfather.
'Celebrate?'
A small laugh left Biscuit's lips and she looked between the four, watching as they fully turned their bodies towards her.
'It's almost New Years in the real world, isn't it?'
Blinking slowly, Valentine's posture deflated and her eyes widened as she looked down at the ground, a small frown on her face.
So then, she had lost track of the time that had passed her and she missed her little sister's birthday.
Faith was more than likely going to be furious with her.
'Time flows at the same time inside the game as it does outside',Biscuit explained.
With his eyes widening in panic, Gon turned towards his friends and the two looked towards him with confusion.
'Oh no! I totally forgot!',The boy exclaimed and caused Valentine to furrow her eyebrows together in confusion,'The deadline to apply for the Hunter Exam's coming up'
Eyes widening in realization, the silverette reached up and itched the back of his head, a small frown on his face.
'Aww man, and just when training was just starting to get fun too',Killua sighed in disheartenment and looked up at the sky with a deep frown.
With a frown on her face, Valentine reached up and placed her hand on his shoulder, causing Killua to hum in confusion and looked down at the girl, watching as she smiled up at him.
Feeling his chest begin to warm up and his heart hammering against the restriction that was the cage of ribs in his body, a small smile began to spread across his lips as color painted his cheeks, a gentle chuckle leaving his lips.
'If my memory serves, you have to apply by the years end',Biscuit explained.
'Then we need to hurry!',Gon exclaimed and Valentine nodded in agreement, looks of determination filling their faces, before the boy looked towards his sister figure with a look of confusion,'But, how do we get outside again'
Blinking slowly, a small hum left Valentine's lips and she slowly lifted her hand, placing the tip of her finger against her lips in thought, furrowing her eyebrows together.
"There could be some spell cards that can be used to leave the game",Valentine guessed and then, looked towards Biscuit for confirmation as she tilted her head to the side,"Right?"
'There are',Biscuit stated and a smile formed on her face,'So, let's take another trip to Masadora'

Walking down the streets of Masadora, the four were currently looking around and the silverette had his arms behind his head as Valentine reached up her hand, gently rubbing Zeus's head as he craved for her attention.
'Now, let's have a place to have some tea!',Biscuit exclaimed and a bright smile spread across her lips.
Perking up slightly, Valentine's lips spread into a smile and she turned towards Biscuit, the two blonde's staring at one another with glistening gazes.
Looking towards the two, Gon frowned and furrowed his eyebrows together, slowly shaking his head.
'We can't',The boy stated and he watched as the girls looked towards him with pouts as their postures deflated,'We don't have much time'
Pouting slightly, Valentine and Biscuit looked towards each other with matching, depressed looks, before the two of them perked up, deciding that they would have tea together later.
'We can ask at the stores we go to',Killua stated, referring to how he was going to leave game.

The pier was a thousand hues and shades of chocolate, somehow the labelling of the colour didn't subtract from it's beauty. There was a stoic calmness to the sun-whitened pier, a promise of taking all weathers in easy stride.
The waves come as loving rascals, sun-warmed and sweet, to wash upon the sands, gently knocking against the stone of the docks underbelly.
'Okay, see you guys later. I'll go ace the exam and come right back'
Just as he held up the card and was about to say the words that would send him back, Valentine raced forward and wrapped her arms around his shoulders as her body gently collided with his own.
Freezing up, the silverette's eyes widened in shock and his hands were frozen in place where they were; no matter how many times he would receive hugs from the blonde, he couldn't help the way his heart raced when she was near.
In her embrace the world stopped still on it's axis.
There was no time, no wind, no waves and the chumming sound of the wind chimes from behind him didn't echo through his ears, before slowly, he wrapped his arms around her as well.
A shocked screech left Zeus's beak as he stood a top of Gon's shoulder and before long, a familiar shushing sound filled the air, which almost made the girl smile.
What had felt like an eternity was merely a few seconds, before the two pulled apart and Valentine beamed up at the boy, noticing the soft hue of vermilion that coated his cheeks as he stared at her with a soft gaze.
"Good luck, Killua"
Even though she knew he wouldn't have needed it, Valentine felt the need to wish him luck anyway and it was clear to her that he had appreciated the gesture as he sent her a smile.
With her eyes sparkling, Biscuit looked between the two and clasped her hands together in front of her as she bounced in place.
They truly were made for each other.
Watching as he boarded the boat, Gon and Valentine waved to him goodbye, before the ship began to sail off.
'Alright then, let's get back to your training'
With determination gleaming within their eyes, Gon and Valentine nodded in unison as Zeus loudly screeched from atop of Gon's shoulder.
'Osu!'
"Osu!'

Running through the forest, Valentine and Gon continued their training as they quickly ran alongside Biscuit, keeping up with one another.
'Okay, we'll train the whole time you two are running'
Seeing that she formed the number zero on the tip of her finger with her Nen, Valentine lifted her hand and lightly hit down on her bottom lip as she began to focus, trying to shape her aura.
'If you two can form the numbers zero through nine in one minute, you pass'
Feeling a drop of sweat gradually fall down the side of her temple, the young blonde narrowed her eyes as she concentrated on her aura, slowly shaping the number zero.
Seeing that Gon had suddenly disappeared from her side, Valentine snapped her head to look behind her and her eyes widened as she saw the green-haired bi laying on the ground, a pained expression on his face as he held his hands to his forehead.
'That hurt!',He cried out.
Sliding to a stop beside one another, Biscuit and Valentine looked towards the boy; one with confused and the other with worry, as the older blonde placed her hands on her hips.
'What in the world are you doing!?'
Suddenly, a piercing ring filled the air and the four turned around, watching as a bright light shot towards them.
One of the men from the beginning of the game stood there and he looked up as he stood up, looking between them.
'Aren't you..-?'
Humming slightly, the man shifted his gaze between them and noticed that one of them were missing.
'I can see that your other friend isn't with you',He stated.
Noticing something on the man's shoulder, Biscuit and Valentine slowly walked forward, the oldest of them slowly raising her hand towards her mouth.
'What's that thing on your shoulder?',Their teacher questioned.
"Is everything okay?",Valentine questioned in a worried tone and stepped forward a bit more,"Is there something wrong?"
A quiet ticking noise filled the air and the counter on the spider-like bomb began to slowly count down; the number being in the forty minute range.
'The bomber got us',The man stated,'Just hear me out, I have something to say'
The cawing of birds echoed throughout the forest and Zeus turned his head each way, his obsidian eyes observing the foliage.
After he had explained what had happened to the group, the four had soon learned that the bomber was the blonde dude with the glasses from the beginning; screwing the team over.
A deep frown pulled at Valentine's lips and she began to scold herself within her head, a small sigh leaving her lips.
She had known from the beginning that there was something off with him.
Clenching her injured hand tightly, Valentine felt as the slowly healing skin burn and stretch as she dug her nails into the fabric, her eyes narrowing as she stared off.
'So.. he was the Bomber',Biscuit mumbled
Feeling a gentle hand being placed upon her shoulder, eyes of thunder slowly turned towards the person and seeing Gon's worried face, a small sigh left Valentine's lips.
Her brother figure slowly rubbed his hand on her shoulder in a soothing motion, before taking his hand away and turned back towards the man, listening to his story.
'The others are in our hideout waiting for him to disarm the bombs',He explained,'They believe in the terms he gave them, but I'm not as convinced'
Turning towards Biscuit and Valentine with a look of concern, Gon frowned deeply.
'Now what?',The green-haired boy asked the girl's,'What can we do?'
'If they're prepared to accept casualties..-'
'Won't happen'
Humming with confusion, Valentine turned her eyes back towards the man and watched as he looked between the four of them; his eyes staring at the hawk as he rose an eyebrow.
'The first ones to jump him, will be the very first ones to be sacrificed',He explained,'Who would ever volunteer for that?'
'Good point..'
'Gispa was the most proficient of us in combat and he was beaten instantly'
Frowning deeply, Valentine wrapped her arms around herself and sighed shakily.
The thought of someone betraying their own group was heartbreaking and wrong, so much so that it sent a rush of anger and confusion throughout her veins.
'We were already doomed at that point and allowing Genthru to leave the game was a total mistake. We foolishly began to celebrate before we were able to verify each other's cards and assign role',He explained and slowly looked towards the ground, troubled by the situation,'And that's when he caught us off guard. I hate to say it, but I was so distracted that I simply didn't see him use Leave until it was too late'
'You were probably focused on his explanation',Biscuit stated,'Trying to figure out it's meaning'
Not convinced, the man's gaze slowly turned towards the ground and the frown on his face deepened as he slowly nodded.
'Yeah..',He muttered,'We were thrust into that situation with absolutely no warning at all, of course, we were all too stunned to take any action'
'I see.. but may I ask, why are you telling us all of this?',Biscuit questioned.
Slowly tilting his head down, the man closed his eyes and a low sigh slowly left his lips.
'Because out of everyone I've met here on the island, I believe that you're the one's I can rely on the most'
Hearing this, Gon and Valentine looked towards one another and their eyes gleamed with determination.
'If you communicate with any other players, I beg you to tell them all about the Bomber',The man requested,'If they know about his ability, they can guard against it and if it comes down to it, I want you to try and avenge us. At the very least, do not let him clear the game'
Looking back towards each other once more, the sibling-like duo nodded and their eyes gleamed in a newfound, fiery blaze of determination, their eyebrows pulled together.
It was clear to Biscuit that the two were furious with what they had learned.
'We understand',Their teacher stated.
With a relieved smile on his face, the man slowly leaned back and let out a gentle sigh, relieved with their agreement.
'Thank you',He stated and stood to his feet, looking down at the three,'I'll use what little time I have left to tell as many as I can about the Bomber. Book'
Appearing in a puff of smoke, the book hovered in the air and the man looked through the pages, before holding up a specific card in his hand.
'Return on! To Bunzen!'
Disappearing in a flash of light, the three watched as the large ball of thunder raced of through the air and headed away from them.
A bad feeling spread throughout her body and caused a flash of pain to strike through her veins, causing Valentine to turn around, looking in the direction that the man had gone, a deep frown pulling at her lips.

Walking through the forest, Valentine was walking alongside Biscuit and Gon walked slowly behind them, before he suddenly stopped.
'Bisky..',The green-haired boy spoke up, causing the two girl's to stop and look behind them, looking towards him,'I think.. we should drop by their hideout real fast'
Remembering the feeling that had washed over her body, Valentine frowned slightly and her eyes softened in grief as she looked forward once more.
'Times probably already up for them',Biscuit stated and looked towards the blonde girl beside her.
And seeing the look on her face, she knew that she was right.
'Besides, he didn't even tell us where it is',Their teacher said and turned around, facing Gon,'And even if we could find it, we'd still need a spell card to take us there and we simply don't have one'
With a frown pulling at his lips, the green-haired boy's eyebrows pulled together and he turned his eyes towards the ground, a small sigh leaving his lips.
'I know, but.. some of them could've survived the explosion',Gon stated,'It's possible'
'But doubtful'
Letting out a small breath of shock, the two turned their eyes towards their teacher and saw the grieving look in her eyes.
'If the Bombers powerful enough to place bombs on his targets without them noticing, he'd never be that careless'
With a saddened look on his face, Gon looked towards the ground and a small sigh left his lips.
'However, if we just continue to play the game then we're bound to run into the Bomber at some point',Biscuit explained,'And given that fact, then sooner or later we may need to visit their hideout'
Nodding slightly, Gon perked up a bit and his eyes gleamed as he stared at their teacher.
Seeing the look on her brother figures face, Valentine smiled brightly and the two turned towards one another, nodding towards each other.
'But we still need spell cards',Biscuit explained and turned around, beginning to walk off,'Let's go to Masadora and sell our monster cards to buy some'
Perking up, bright smiles coated their faces as they gleamed and Valentine and Gon rushed off, racing after their teacher as she walked away.
