It had been a few days since Killua had almost bleed to death in front of Valentine and the boy's eyes slowly fluttered open, his vision blurry for a moment before he blinked, the blurriness clearing up.

An iv drip was connected to his body and Killua noticed many hospital beds lined up, his eyes slowly blinking as he took everything in.

Once noticing that he couldn't find his girlfriend, the silverette immediately sat up and looked around, before his eyes landed on her.

A piece of fresh gauze covered her left temple from where that flea bullet had lodged itself into her face and a small blob of red coated the once completely white material, smaller scratches lining her cheeks and jaw.

Struggling to stand up, the silverette stumbled and sat beside his girlfriend, slowly reached forward as he gently held her face in his hand, softly rubbing his thumb along the tapped gauze.

'Oh, you're up! How're you feeling?'

Placing his other hand on his head for a moment, Killua looked towards Ikalgo and furrowed his eyebrows, glancing between the ant and Valentine.

'Octopus, how long and where—'

'Don't call me that!'

Standing up from his chair, Ikalgo had an angered look on his face and pointed towards the silver-haired boy.

'This is an underground hospital for folks with roots in the underworld. You and your girlfriend were out for two whole days, she woke up a few hours ago but fell back asleep'

Eyes widening significantly, Killua began to get up but stopped once Valentine's eyes slowly opened and the silverette froze up, regretting waking her up.

She was clearly exhausted and it was clear to him that it was because she had stopped him from bleeding out before they could get here.

Noticing that he was awake, Valentine's eyes widened and she flung herself forward, wrapping her arms around his shoulder as Killua wrapped his arms around her waist, careful to not fall over.

"Killua, you're okay!",Valentine cried out and felt her eyes water,"Thank goodness, I was so worried about you and I didn't know if I was strong enough to save you in time"

With a small smile on his face, the silverette hugged his girl a bit tighter and heard as the octopus behind them raged on about his wounds, but Killua didn't care.

After all, he was already healed up and he could feel it.

Pulling back a bit, the silverette continued to hold his girlfriend's face in his hands and he looked her over, frowning at the wounds on her face.

Her skin was slightly paled and light eye bags lined the underneath of her eyes, speaking of her eyes; they were the color of darkened rust with fatigue, small licks of blonde hair framing her face.

But beside the paled complexion, the teenager thought she was absolutely ethereal and breathtaking.

'Thank you for saving me, Val.. but please.. don't risk your life for me like that. Using that much Nen while you were injured could've killed you'

Lifting up her hand, Valentine gently placed it against his own and leaned closer to his touch, her eyes fluttering shut for only a moment.

She knew the risk when she saved him and if anything, she'd do it again every time.

'I could've lost you, Val..'

"But you didn't"

Raising her hands, Valentine gently placed them against his cheeks and watched as his eyes looked in between her own.

"If it meant I wouldn't lose you, Killua, I'd gladly risk my life for you again and again",Valentine stated and watched as something flashed within his eyes,"I'm sorry for worrying you, but I won't apologize for saving your life"

As he stared into her eyes, the silverette couldn't help but thank whatever fates had helped him have this wonderful girl in his life and a small sigh left his lips, smiling softly at her as he slowly shook his head.

Even though he wanted to stay like this a while longer, Killua finally registered the Ant's words and pulled back from Valentine's hug, keeping an arm around her waist; his eyes widening.

'Wait, two days? We need to get going'

Seeing that the two were moving around more than they should be, Ikalgo waved his tentacles around and tried to get the two to lay back down.

'Woah, hey now! You two need to rest and let your wounds heal!'

Gently helping Valentine take the IV out of her arm, the silverette apologized under his breath once he'd seen her wince and he dropped the needle to the floor.

'But there are things that we have to do'

'You idiots! You both were on the verge of death and if it weren't for your friend here, you'd be dead! You can't go running around now when your bodies are still trying to heal themselves. You'll both need to rest before—'

'Ah, look who's awake'

Humming slightly, Ikalgo turned around and almost rolled his eyes at the sight of the nurse as she walked towards them, a grin on her face.

'How wonderful'

'Thanks for helping us, but we'll be checking out now'

Walking closer to them, the nurse grinned and held up her finger, efficiently stopping the three from leaving.

'Not until you pay your bills. And the total comes to 3.6 million Jenny'

Face falling in disbelief, Valentine shouted in shock and looked towards the nurse, blinking quickly.

There was no way both their bills were 1.8 million Jenny each and if they were, then that was absolutely absurd.

'If you can't pay, then I'll accept body parts instead'

Feeling a dark aura emitting from beside him, Killua looked towards Valentine and watched as her dark eyes glared at the woman, causing him to cautiously look between them, a small drop of sweat falling down the side of his face.

'I don't have my wallet with me and since there's clearly no signal here, she can't give you the money either so we'll wire it as soon as we get back'

'Do you really think I'm stupid enough to take an IOU from you?'

Looking the woman up and down with a dark stare, Valentine lifted an eyebrow and tilted her head to the side.

"Do you really want me to answer that question honestly?"

Turning to look at the girl, a shocked look formed on the woman's face and she looked towards the silver-haired boy; who was clearly trying to hold back a laugh.

'Fine, until you find someone to bring me the money, you're staying right where you are'

Clenching her jaw, Valentine's eyes narrowed at the woman and the two stared at one another for a moment, before a dark aura began to fill the air.

'Look, we don't have time for that! Just give us your phone'

After talking with Gon for a while, Killua returned to where his hospital bed was and removed the robe from his body, bandages covered his upper body wounds, before he started stretching out the muscles of his legs,  arms and shoulders.

Lips of pink parted as eyes of gold widened slightly, a small squeak leaving Valentine as a rose shade coated her face and she quickly looked away, covering her mouth with her hands as her heart pounded against her chest, eyes widening slightly.

A chuckle filled her ears and this caused her blush to darken as she glanced towards Killua, noticing that he was glancing towards her; taking in her flustered state.

Pulling a shirt over his head, the silverette straightened it out and walked towards Valentine, causing her to glance towards him out of the corner of her eye, a small smile on her face.

As they were about to leave the clinic door, Valentine suddenly came to stop and took in a deep breath, causing Killua to stop as well; with Ikalgo watching the two with a confused look on his face, before the silverette watched as the blonde turned towards him, pursing her lips with a determined look on her face.

Taking in a deep breath once more, Valentine swiftly turned on her heel and began walking towards her boyfriend, who looked at her with furrowed eyebrows.

Her hurried footsteps came to a stop as she softly placed her hands on his cheeks and stood on the tip of her toes, staring into his eyes for a moment.

He could barely process what had happened next.

Her lips were soft, almost silken, against his own and he could feel the soft tickle of her breath as it escaped her nose and her eyelashes gently fluttered against his skin.

She was sweet like honey and her touch was feather-light; so light that if he hadn't had his eyes widened in shock, he wouldn't have known she was even kissing him.

Warmth blossomed in his chest and sparks seemed to ignite between them at the soft brush of their lips, but felt these very same sparks even more as he leaned into her, pressing his lips further into her own as he tilted his head slightly, his eyes slowly closing.

The kiss had been brief and soft, but it took the silverette's breath away all the same and as she pulled away, looking up at him with those beautifully glowing eyes, Killua couldn't stop the feeling of wanting to pull her closer and kiss her more.

But they both knew they had a mission to get to.

So, with haste, the silverette gently placed his hand under her chin and tilted her head up once more, softly connecting their lips for a moment more as sparks ignited within them as their bodies seemed to alight with heat.

Shivers ran down the blonde's spine as she took in a deep breath, her knees seeming to go weak and she leaned into him, his arms around her waist pulling her closer.

Slowly pulling away, the two stared into each other's eyes as they slowly fluttered open and red coated Valentine's cheeks, her eyes shinning as her heart pounded against her chest.

With a soft smile on his face, Killua reached up and took her hand in his own as he took in her flushed state, before glancing towards the octopus behind them; who looked between the two with a confused look.

'What are you doing? Let's go'

A confused noise left Ikalgo's lips and he looked between the two as they smiled at him, seemingly waiting for him to follow after them.

"We're going to meet up with our friends. So come on, we'll introduce you"

Seeing that he was at a loss for words, Valentine smiled softly and her eyes softened.

"They won't hurt you as long as you're with us. I promise"

Watching as Ikalgo looked down at the ground, the smile fell off her face and Valentine frowned, her gaze saddening causing Killua to frown as he looked towards the ant.

'Fine, you don have to come along with us. But I owe you one, so thank you'

'Uhh.. wait. Is it really okay? I mean, I'm just a..'

With a small frown on her face, Valentine looked up at Killua and watched as he stared out the door with a blank look on his face.

'What the hell? Guess I was the only one who thought we were friends already'

Watching as Ikalgo's eyes softened and began to tear up, Valentine smiled gently, walking towards the ant which caused Killua to look towards her, watching as she knelt down, looking into the ant's eyes with a soft smile.

'You're both sure.. I can go too?'

Reaching forward to wipe away the ant's tears, a bright and innocent smile formed on Valentine's face and Ikalgo's lower lip quivered, small whimpers leaving him.

"Of course we're sure, you saved his life and for that, I'm eternally grateful to you, Ikalgo"

Glancing at the teenager behind her; who was watching the whole interaction, Ikalgo broke out into sobs and threw himself into the girl's arms, sobbing loudly as he wrapped his arms around her neck.

'I'll go! I'll go with you two!'

With a gentle chuckle leaving her lips, Valentine picked the chimera ant up and carried him with her, watching as Killua turned to look at them once they were outside; his lips twitching up slightly at the sight of her carrying the small chimera.

'I want to make something clear. If something like this does happen again and either of us end up helping you out, you don't need to thank us either. Friends are supposed to help each other out'

Looking between the two, Ikalgo's lips parted and watched as the girl glanced down at him with a soft smile.

'I'm sure that the three of us will be helping each other out all the time from now on, but helping out your friends isn't anything special. It's expected, you know? So let's just cut all the formalities, okay? It's not worth it'

The octopus-like chimera ant's eyes watered once more and wails left his lips as he cried.

'Killua.. Valentine.. I'm so happy, I could die!'

As the ant cried out loudly, Valentine's face fell into a panicked expression as she tightly hugged Ikalgo and Killua jumped back slightly, shock covering his face.

'Wait! What the hell are you crying all over my girlfriend for!?'

'Cause you're both doing this for someone like me'

As Ikalgo cried, a sigh left Killua's lips and he placed his hands on his hips, glancing down at the ground as he slowly shook his head.

'Give me a break. There's one more thing'

Walking towards the two, Killua bent down slightly and stared at the Chimera Ant in Valentine's arms, staring into his eyes.

'The world that you're about to step into with us, it's more brutal than what you're used to. It may seem similar, but there's a huge difference between risking your life and throwing it away'

The strong look in Killua's eyes caused Valentine to shiver and her eyes widened for only a moment as Ikalgo shuddered in her grasp.

Standing up after looking into his girlfriend's eyes, Killua turned around and began to walk away.

'People who live on the brink of death never think of throwing their lives away. But if you can take perfect care of your body and drink poison that's barely under the lethal dose without the least hesitation or you struggle with a darkness within you so much that you'll even risk to use it to protect your friends, you can survive. That's how it goes'

Glancing behind him with a small smile on his face, Killua looked between Valentine and Ikalgo, his eyes gleaming.

'Do you still want to join us?'

"Even if it means there's danger at every corner? Are you prepared for that?"

Looking between the two with a bright smile, Ikalgo's eyes gleamed and a soft chuckle left his lips.

'Thanks for the warning you two... but all I see is paradise. I'll go, no matter the cost'

With gentle smiles on their faces, the two stood up to their full height and Killua took Valentine's hand in his own, the two beginning to walk away; with Ikalgo not too far behind them.
