Making it back into town, the five were frozen in their place once noticing the malicious aura that seeped out of the Inn and slowly headed inside, their bodies tense.

A low churr of worry left Zeus's beak as Killua slowly opened the door and seeing Palm stabbing a dummy that resembled Gon, causing the them all to tense up once also noticing the multiple others that lay torn up around the room.

Watching as the woman slowly turned towards them, her eyes gleaming red with anger, Killua tensed up and reached beside him, grabbing Valentine's arm so that he could push her behind him, shielding her behind him.

'You'll pay for this..',Palm slowly spoke up and her shaky tone held a lot of rage.

Standing up, the woman slowly turned towards the four and her body shook as her raven black hair covered her face.

'You promised me..',Palm said with an angered exhale,'You swore that you'd take me to the NGL. You said if you broke that promise, you would stick a thousand needles in your eye'

Nodding slowly, Gon's eyes shone with guilt and his eyebrows furrowed slightly as he stared at the woman.

'I'm sorry',The boy apologized.

'I have no interest in an apology',Palm stated and continued to glare at the green-haired boy,'There's no point in having you stick needles in your eye either'

Nodding along with her words, Gon stood up straight and a small grunt of affirmation left his lips.

'Is there a way that I can make amends?',The boy questioned the angered woman.

'Let's see...'

A look of thought formed on the woman's face and a small hum left her lips, before realization filled her gaze as she rose her finger into the air.

'There is. You must accomplish any one task that I set before you',Palm explained.

Clenching his teeth together, Killua stepped forward and his eyes narrowed at the woman as he glare settled on his face.

'Wait a second, think about how Gon is feeling!',The silverette exclaimed.

But before Killua could even finish scolding the older woman, the green haired boy spoke up and interrupted him, causing the silverette to turn towards him with a confused look on his face.

'Fine, okay'

'Go out with me'

A look of shock, disgust and disbelief formed on the four teenagers faces as they quickly looked towards the woman, a noise of shock leaving Valentine's lips as her eyes widened.

'You must... go out with me'

A look formed on Jaxon's face as he scrunched up his nose and slowly shook his head.

'Listen lady, that's just all kinds of weird. You can't expect him to agree to tha—'

'Alright'

Hearing Gon's agreement caused Jaxon to stop in his tracks and his face went blank as the cogs in his brain short-circuited, his whole body going tense.

He didn't know whether to punch the boy across the face for his idiocy or take off his shoe and throw it at the woman across from them for even suggesting such an idea.

Either way would be a win-win situation for Jaxon since he'd be able to hit at least one of the two.

'Whoa, are you crazy!?',Killua questioned and leaned towards Gon, an incredulous look on his face,'Do you have any idea what you're doing?'

Nodding with a small hum leaving his lips, Gon looked towards Killua and slowly shrugged his shoulders.

'But I promised. I said I'd do anything'

Turning away from the idiotic boy, Killua turned towards Palm and pointed towards the woman, still having a hard time believing the situation.

'Is this really how you want it to happen? Just think for a second'

'This is none of your business. It's between Gon and me, and it's settled; just between Gon and me'

A wild flare of blush spread across the woman's cheeks and she held her fists close to her face, her eyes gleaming as she was barely able to believe the situation.

'Oh, goodness!'

Giggles left the woman's lips and a disgusted shiver ran throughout Killua's body as he placed his arm in front of Valentine, slowly moving the both of them away from the woman.

Leaning towards Gon, the silverette covered his mouth and spoke in a low tone to assure that she wouldn't hear him.

'I'm telling you, man, you need to stay away from her'

Clearly hearing the boy, an angered look formed on Palm's face and she pointed towards the four, holding out the knife.

'And all of you need to stop interfering! This is between Gon and me, remember?'

Pointing towards the woman, an irk mark formed on Killua's head and his muscles tensed in anger as his eyebrows furrowed.

'You just want an excuse to keep saying that!'

With a blush covering her face, Palm placed her hand on her cheek for a second and then snapped out of it, an angered look forming as she stared at the silver haired teenager.

'Oh, shut up! Gon and I are going on a date, and that's final',Palm stated and stood up straight,'Besides, there's somewhere I really wanted to go'

Holding up his hand, Gon slowly shook his head and disagreed with her.

'Oh sorry. Not today'

A gasp left Palm's lips and a frown formed on her face as she stared at the boy, wondering why.

'I have to train with Killua, Val and Jaxon today but, I know! Why don't you come train with us, Palm?'

Eyes almost red with rage, Palm stepped closer to Gon and held up the knife, her nostrils flaring as she breathed out with rage.

'What are you talking about? We are going out. You promised me, didn't you?'

With an unbothered smile on his face, Gon nodded and a small hum of agreement left his lips as he stared at the woman.

'Then why are they tagging along?! And why would we train anyway? You must be joking!',Palm screamed and leaned close to the boy as she held up the knife, steam seeming to come out of her mouth as she breathed, her body shaking with anger,'Were dating and this will be our first date! You hear me? Our very first date! Our first date'

It was clear that Gon was quite unfazed by the woman's anger and Valentine's eyes were wide as she looked between the two, slowly placing her other hand on Killua's arm as he hid her behind him; almost as if he were fearing that Palm would lash out and catch her in the crossfire.

'But it's not actually a date',Gon confessed and this startled the woman, causing her to gasp in confusion,'See, we can have a real date later on. Since it'll be our first date, we should do it right'

As they were speaking about dates, Killua glanced down at Valentine and as she was looking at the scene in front of them, the silverette began to wonder something.

If he asked her out, would she say yes?

Although she had confessed her feelings to him and he did so in return, he didn't know if she'd actually agree to a date since neither of them have actually been on one before.

'And I really want to be prepared, so I'm going to need some time to get ready',Gon told the woman.

'Prepared?',Palm asked and slowly lowered the knife,'For what?'

A small smile formed on Gon's face and his eyes gleamed as he slowly shook his head.

'Secret. I won't tell',The boy said with a large grin,'Just wait and you'll find out tomorrow'

'Oh, well in that case... alright. Sorry, if you would have explained that first, I wouldn't have gotten so angry',Palm explained as her hair crested a curtain in front of her face.

'No, it was my fault! I just wanted to surprise you, thought it might be fun'

'Oh my goodness, a surprise for me? I'm keeping an eye on you~'

A giggle left Palm's covered mouth and she reached forward, gently pressing her finger to Gon's forehead.

With a look of disbelief on her face, Valentine's mouth gapped open and she looked up at Killua, seeing that he was looking at the two with the same expression on his face.

A shudder ran throughout Killua's body and he looked down at Valentine to make sure she was seeing what he was to make sure that he wasn't going insane, but seeing the way she looked up at him, he knew he wasn't going crazy.

'Alright then, let's meet in front of the bulletin board tomorrow. At ten am'

'I'll be there'

With her eyes wide in disbelief, Valentine slowly turned and walked away from the scene, a shiver running through her body as she grabbed her backpack; which would hopefully hold a pair of workout clothes she had on standby in case she ever trained.

She definitely needed to take a walk and clear this whole scene of Palm and Gon from her head.

As she was halfway to the door, the sound of multiple footsteps running behind her caught her attention and she knew it was her friends and her brother catching up with her as they headed to the gym nearby.

Looks of shock from men in the gym were thrown towards the side of the room where the pull-up bars were and a proud grin rested on Jaxon's face as he lifted a dumbbell, his muscles straining slightly.

Small breaths inhaled into the girl's nose as her hands tightly clenched the bar above her and her legs were crossed over one another as she effortlessly pulled herself up once more, her chin going above the bar before she lowered herself again; barely breaking a sweat as she started once again.

...76...77...78.....79...80...

Her hair was pulled up into a messy bun and her eyes were narrowed in complete concentration as she pulled herself up again, slowly exhaling through her nose.

Pulling his eyes away from the enchanting girl, Killua looked towards Gon and furrowed his eyebrows together.

'Have you ever been on a date before?'

'Sure I have'

It was as if a rock had smashed over Killua's head and he choked slightly in shock, his eyes wide as he froze up.

'Except, most of them were with my Aunt Mito'

'Oh okay, I get it now',The silverette understood before he realized what Gon had said,'Wait, so does that mean that there were others?'

'Yup. Sometimes ships with all-female crews would stop by Whale Island, and some of them would only go out with guys who were younger than them. I'd show them around town and they'd teach me a bunch of stuff'

Slightly disturbed by this information, Killua's left eyebrow twitched and his lips pulled up slightly into an awkward position, sweat slowly falling down the side of his face.

'They call women like that "cougars". Isn't that crazy? Haven't you ever been on a date, Killua?'

Putting down the weight, Killua looked towards the boy with furrowed eyebrows and slowly shook his head.

'No way, I was too busy. All of my time went to assassin training, and the three of us have been together since I retired'

Looking towards the boy with a screech of offense, Zeus puffed out his chest and leaned forward, snapping his beak onto the boy's arm.

A small cry of pain left Killua's lips and he pulled his arm away, rubbing at the skin as he glared at the hawk, before picking the weight back up.

'Sorry, the four of us. Happy now?'

Turning around with a churr of glee, Zeus's beady black eyes stared at Valentine and he tilted his head as she started up some machine, watching as she ran on it as the strange material on top began to move; the girl running atop of it but seeming to go nowhere.

'Well... then you should ask out Valentine'

Hearing these words caused Killua to drop the weight out of shock and the noise echoed throughout the gym, causing Valentine to turn her head towards them with concern.

But seeing the small smile Killua sent her to reassure her everything was alright, she turned forward after sending him a quick smile and the silverette turned towards Gon with wide eyes.

'Where'd you get that idea from?! Obviously, I'm not saying it's a bad one, but still..'

'I mean, it's already known that you two like one another so there's no way she'd say no and besides, I think you guys would be cute together. So I think that you should ask her'

With a look of thought in his eyes as a small smile formed on his face, a bashful tint coated Killua's cheeks and he looked towards Valentine once more.

'Yeah.. you're right'

Noticing that Gon was looking at him expectantly, Killua did a double take and his eyes widened slightly as his cheeks reddened more.

'You mean right now!?'

With a deadpanned look on his face, Gon began to push the boy towards Valentine's direction and felt as Killua dragged his feet slightly, trying to stop himself.

'Yes, right now!'

Giving the silverette one final push, Gon watched as he stumbled and glanced towards him as he began to walk towards her, causing the green-haired boy to signal him to keep going.

Taking in a deep breath to calm his anxiety, Killua walked towards the girl and stood beside the treadmill, clearing his throat which caused the girl to look over at him with a small smile.

Realizing that he wanted to talk to her, Valentine momentarily turned towards the treadmill and turned it off, causing the machine to start slowing down until it stopped completely.

Turning back towards the silverette, the young blonde panted slightly and her cheeks were slightly red with adrenaline as she leaned against the armrest of the treadmill.

"Hey",Valentine panted out with a small smile and pushed a strand of hair away from her cheek, before taking note of the nervous expression on his face causing her smile to slowly fall,"Is everything okay?"

Noticing how close she was caused Killua to freeze up and staring into her beautiful eyes; that seemed to glisten as brightly as the stars in the night sky, he felt his heart stop for a moment before it began to harshly beat against his rib cage.

Watching as her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she tilted her head with a small smile on her face, the silverette realized that he had been staring at her for quite a bit and he quickly snapped out of his trace, clearing his throat as his cheeks burned with color.

'I wanted to ask you if you'd.. um..-'

Glancing behind him, Killua watched as Gon noticed his nervousness and a smile formed on the boy's face as he held up his thumbs, gesturing for him to continue.

Letting him know that he was doing great.

Taking in a shaky breath, the silverette turned back around and looked up at Valentine, noticing the way her head was tilted to the side as her lips were parted in confusion, her eyebrows furrowed.

'I wanted to ask you if you'd.. like to go out with me sometime..',Killua started slowly and watched as she stood up straight, her eyebrows raising as her eyes widened,'Like a..-'

Noticing how he was struggling to get the words out; probably very nervous of the outcome, a soft look formed on Valentine's face and a gentle smile spread across her lips.

"...Like a date?"

Holding his breath, Killua slowly nodded and nervously tapped his foot as he looked between her eyes.

'Yeah, would you like to? Like to go on a date with me, I mean...'

Feeling her body slowly begin to heat up as her cheeks reddened, Valentine felt as her heart pounded against her chest and butterflies fluttered in her stomach as she brought her lip between her teeth as she smiled.

"Yeah, I'd really like that"

My gods!! You guys have no idea how much I hated this chapter the first time I wrote it and then deleted the whole thing and wrote it again! ;-;

I cried so much cause I was so stressed trying to figure out the perfect scene and I thought, hey, Killua being enchanted by Valentine's beauty so much that he asks her out?

Hmm.. 🤔

Anyway, I hope that you guys enjoyed this chapter and let me know if the scene where Killua asks out Valentine is good or not because I stressed mostly over that scene in general and I just hope you guys like it because it honestly didn't turn out just the way I wanted it too, but hey, can't be picky right?
