The lighting above the arena shone brightly and they glistened like billions of stars in the never ending sea that was the sky. A silver haired boy with eyes that shone like an ocean in the summer sun, were like a spring storm when the sun was just coming out, the greys and blues mixing beautifully; slowly stepped onto the platform, his hands casually stuffed in his pockets as the aura he emitted remained calm and collected.
"And now, for the main event of the day, Killua versus Riehlvelt! Since Sadaso forfeited the previous match, this will technically be Killua's 200th floor debut! What kind of strategy are we about to see now?"
Coming to a stop, the silverette had a laid back expression on his face and simply stared at the man, before a smirk slowly formed on his lips, his eyes glistening.
Soon enough, the match had begun.
Almost immediately, Killua had launched himself up into the air and vanished from Riehlvelt's sight, causing the man's mouth to drop and his eyes widened in shock.
Appearing behind the man, Killua prepared to strike but Riehlvelt had sensed his presence and quickly propelled himself forward, only feeling a gust of wind as the silverette's attack only grazed him.
"Riehlvelt boosted out of harms way! He propels his wheelchair by releasing his stored aura, guiding it to wherever he wants to go!"
Now on the other side of the arena, Riehlvelt came to a halting stop and stared at Killua for a moment, his gaze calculated and cautious. Slowly reaching back, the man grabbed two snake-like whips and flailed his arms, causing the whips to thrash around in a tornado of speed.
"There it is, folks! Riehlvelt's Song of Defense! He protects himself with two whips, moving at ridiculously high speeds, then waits patiently for his chance to strike!"
Watching the scene with glistening eyes of marigold, lips of roses slowly twitched up and Valentine's smile was like a row of tombstones reflecting in a pond, joy tugging at her lips as if invisible elves were playing a game of tug-of-war.
With a deep sigh to himself, Killua strolled towards the man, stopping in front of the thrashing whips and once he was close enough, eyes of sapphire watched the whips movements.
Suddenly, the two snake-like whips whipped towards the calm silverette and time slowed down in his eyes as the whips moved back and forth, each and every movement passing through his gaze. Before they could even graze him, Killua had caught them in his hands, his grip tight and restricting.
'Sorry, but I'm not a normal person',Killua retorted.
Suddenly, Valentine's smile instantaneously dropped as the two snakes latched themselves onto Killua's arms, their fangs digging deep into his flesh, before they spiked with a high voltage of electricity and Killua strained, gritting his teeth.
Sitting up straight, Valentine's eyes darkened at the sight and she held her breath, knowing that she shouldn't underestimate the boy she had fallen for, but she was also worried.
That high of a voltage had too hurt; it should even hurt someone like Killua.
But Gon on the other-hand, wasn't worried one bit and he even had a large grin on his face as the two turned towards one another; one with a worried smile while the other was beaming.
With his hands tightly grasping both whips, Killua pulled both of them and flung the man into the air, a high-pitched scream leaving the man's lips.
'I'm trained to endure torture so electricity won't work, it has no effect on me. I mean, I can tolerate it, but it isn't like it makes me happy',Killua explained,'It still really hurts a lot and everything. That's why I'm a little pissed'
The light glared into the man's eyes as he soared through the air and a nervous laugh left his lips as he turned around, starting to plummet towards the ground.
Staring up at the man, a glint passed through Killua's eyes and he tilted his head to the side, tauntingly; while Valentine watched on with a beaming smile.
'There's no way that you can survive a fall from that height, so what do you want to do?',Killua questioned.
Flailing around in the air, Riehlvelt started pleading with the boy to catch him as Valentine watched on and crossed her arms, leaning back in her chair.
If it was up to her, she'd let the man plummet.
'Catch me, please! Don't let me die!',The man pleaded, tears stinging his eyes from fear and the wind whipped in his face as he quickly descended.
Holding out his arms, Killua smiled innocently as the electricity surrounding his body crackled and sizzled menacingly, streaks of blue flashing across the stadium.
And seeing this, water flew from Riehlvelt's eyes and a cry of ultimate fear left the man's lips, before he landed in Killua's outstretched, electrified arms.
A piercing scream filled the air as the millions, thousands, of volts of electricity traveled through the man's body, crackling thunder filling the air as the volts raced into the man's whole being.
Dropping the man to the ground, Killua rolled his shoulder and gently massaged the muscle, before looking down at the unconscious man with a heated glare.
'Damn it. At least now you know how much that hurts, you idiot'
'Riehlvelt is down and so, by virtue of a knockdown, Killua takes the victory'
The crowd bursted out with roaring cheers and Valentine ecstatically cheered for the boy, feeling as Zeus moved on her shoulder. Spreading out his wings, screeches left the hawks beak and he lightly bobbed his head, ecstatically flapping his wings; cheering for the silverette in his own way.
Walking through the hallway, Killua was beginning to make his way back to his room when a speeding force rammed into him, knocking the boy off of his feet as arms were thrown around his waist, a body landing on top of him as his back hit the ground.
"You did amazing!",Valentine cheered, lifting her head to look up at the boy and closed her eyes in a close-eyed grin.
A flush crept along his cheeks and his body froze as he stared into the girl's captivating, shimmering eyes; his eyes widening slightly at their closeness. Their noses slightly brushed up against one another as their breath hit each other's lips and their chests touched as they rose and fell from each breath, their heartbeats intertwining as it pulsed through their skin and vibrated onto the other.
Breaths as shaky as waves crashing against a ship's sides left the boy's lips in a tune of perturbation and sang like a symphony of disquietude.
'H-Hey! Get off of me, moron!',Killua exclaimed, his cheeks flushed.
Blinking quickly, the blonde immediately got up and helped the boy to his feet, watching as he dusted himself off.
With a huff, Killua opened his mouth and before he could say anything, arms tightly wrapped around his waist, causing the color coating his cheeks to darken as his arms stayed suspended in air, his eyes wide.
Hesitantly, Killua slowly reached his hands down and placed them on her back, gently patting her back; he had only had a few hugs from the girl and still wasn't used to them quite yet.
But Valentine knew that he'd accept them and fully return her hugs sooner or later.
Definitely sooner.
Pulling away, Valentine pointed her finger at the boy and a scolding look settled on her adorable face; but if anything, to everyone it looked like a small puppy trying to intimidate and scold a tiger.
"Don't you ever do something like that again, you had me so worried!",Valentine exclaimed, throwing her hands into the air and puffed out her lip in a pout as her eyebrows furrowed in anger.
It was very adorable.
In the background, Gon was staring at Valentine with a small smile and tried to hold back the giggles that were trying to leave his lips as he studied the scene in front of him, tears of laughter filling his eyes.
Well there was that, but there was also what was going on right about now. Because from a top of the blonde's shoulder, Zeus was mimicking everything the girl was doing as, he too, tried to threaten the boy.
To Gon, it was like two puppies barking at a kitten that wasn't having any of their games.
Absolutely. Adorable.
He wished he had a camera to capture this moment.
Deciding to put a halt to Valentine's scolding, the green-haired boy walked towards them and drew their attention towards him, while Killua looked at the boy with a thankful gaze; for a scolding from Valentine was something no one could get out of unless she was distracted from it by something else.
'Good job, Killua!',Gon complimented, raising up his thumb and in response, Killua winked and held up a peace sign while Valentine grumbled in the background.
She knew that the scolding may have been a little unnecessary, but she cared about Killua; a lot, and seeing him getting electrified caused a strange feeling in her chest to blossom every time she thought about it.
Looking towards Valentine, Killua's eyes shone with uncertainty and a frown tugged at his lips as he studied the girl in front of him from head to toe. While he knew that she could take care of herself, it didn't mean that Killua didn't worry about her and knowing that she was up next sent a clashing wave of emotions to course through his body.
'That means you're up next, Val',Killua stated,'How long until you fight him? 6 days?'
Nodding with a grin, Valentine watched as Killua's eyes looked between her own; as if searching for something, and a light hum left his lips.
He knew that she was fast and could most likely evade each attack if Riehlvelt used his whips again, but what worried him is that, if she did get caught with them, would her body be able to withstand the electricity?
Sure, he had learned she could endure some pain; from what he had learned from her fight during the Hunter Exam, but this was on a whole other scale of pain. She wasn't raised to endure torture like he was, so he couldn't help but be worried for her and the thought of her being electrified sent a sinking and nauseating feeling to settle in his stomach.
But he had to trust her, he had to trust that she knew what she was doing.
He just had too.
For if he kept thinking about the worst outcomes, he'd try to convince her not to fight and to just forfeit the match but he knew, better than anyone, that would be selfish and she wouldn't listen.
With his arms resting behind his head, a small sigh left Killua's lips and he closed his eyes as he began to walk, hearing as the two followed after him.
As they walked, all sorts of scenarios of Valentine's fight rushed through Killua's head and he gritted his teeth, shaking away his thoughts.
He had to stop thinking about this and just trust her, she knew what she was doing.
Peeking his eye open, Killua stared at Valentine and his lips twitched up at the scene in front of him; Zeus was perched on Valentine's arm; which she held up, and small giggles left her lips as the hawk affectionately rubbed his head against her cheek, their eyes closed in joy as purring chirps left the bird's beak.
If birds could smile, Killua was sure that Zeus would be beaming right about now.
The four didn't notice, but a familiar figure stopped and watched as they walked away. A grin slowly formed on Hisoka's lips and a humming laugh left his throat, his lemon yellow eyes glistening with delight, before he turned around and began to walk away.

The day for Valentine and Riehlvelt's match had come, but the man was nowhere to be found and the girl tilted her head.
He must've still been injured.
Pity.
"It appears that the damage Riehlvelt had sustained in his match with Gon was so severe that he hasn't returned for today's fight. But don't be discouraged folks, for another match had been registered with Valentine today and it will progress now!"
Shouts of excitement left the crowds lips and Valentine's eyebrows furrowed, a confused expression plastered on her face as interest filled her eyes.
Up in the stands, Gon and Killua looked at one another with looks of confusion and they both wondered the same thing as they looked back towards the arena.
Someone had registered to fight with her?
Footsteps echoed through the air as everyone eagerly turned their heads and watched as a face emerged from the shadows, their eyes glistening as a smirk danced on their lips.
A cold sensation slithered down her spine and a weight plummeted into her stomach, everything slowing down as the person slowly walked towards the arena. Time seemed to slow down as Valentine's heart painfully pounded in her chest and the sound of her blood pumping rushed through her ears as her mouth suddenly went dry, her eyes wide with terror as her breathing became unsteady and shaky.
Gradient red eyes, that glistened like the flames of a winter fire and as dangerous as a volcano, locked onto eyes of the tiniest kiss of sun that had mystifying flecks of gold scattering through the iris, as the person stood across from her.
'Hello, little sister'
With a stuttering breath, Valentine's mouth moved and a name; that she thought she would never speak again passed, through her lips with a tone of fear and her voice shook with each syllable.
"Akari.."
A dangerous smirk spread across the woman's lips and her glistening eyes danced in the light of the arena.
'Did you miss me?'
