I was originally going to draw him on Killua's shoulder but I got tired and almost fell asleep making it so.. there's this half done drawing of Zeus instead 😓

A multi-armed Chimera Ant was facing against Gon; who had dodged his attacks and landed a hard blow to the creature's side, causing the green-haired boy to figure out that he needed a lot more power.

Beads of sweat were slowly falling down the side of the multi-armed Ant's forehead and his foot twitched slightly, dragging through the dirt.

'What's wrong?',The snake-horse chimera asked,'You're not getting scared now, are you?'

Disappointed in one of the soldiers, eyes of magma turned towards the bloodied pile of flesh of an Ant and a scowl formed on his face as he tsked lightly.

She was so weak that she lost to a female child.

Turning towards Kite, the Ant grinned and began to walk towards the silver-haired man, a confidence in his stride.

'Hey, we should get this started soon, huh?'

'Wait a little longer',Kite responded.

But that response only seemed to aggravate the Chimera more.

'Screw that! It's not like you have a choice anyway',The Ant stated and this caused Kite to sigh, looking towards him,'Now, let me see what you've got'

Flicking out his snake-like tongue, the Ant grinned crazily and Kite only prepared himself; his aura covering his body which caused the creature to immediately lose his grin.

'If you insist',The man agreed,'Tell me, why are you here?'

Clearly confused by the question, the Chimera Ant tilted his head slightly and crossed his arms over his chest.

'Huh? This is my castle',He responded,'A king doesn't need to have a reason to be in his own castle'

'There are many chemicals here that emit strong odors',Kite observed,'I would've expected you to want to avoid this place'

Stomping his hoof, the Chimera Ant glared at Kite and was visibly angered by his words and attitude.

'Shut up! I happen to like it here'

'Where's the leader of the NGL?',Kite asked,'What happened?'

Straightening up at the question, the Ant's face scrunched up in thought, before shrugging slightly and shaking his head.

'Beats me. I figure that he's already inside the Queen's belly',The Chimera stated and then, a laugh left his lips,'I'll build my own kingdom starting here, then I'll take over the whole world'

'That's impossible for a vulgar bastard who likes to amuse himself by making humans into dogs',Kite responded.

A laugh left the Ant's lips and he slowly licked them, a grin spreading across his lips.

'Is that so? Well, you're right, I can't wait to strip you down and put a collar around your neck!'

Charging forward, the Ant lifted his fists and the rough sound of hooves clicking against the floor echoed throughout the air.

Watching from a distance, Valentine and Killua stood side-by-side; with her arms crossed over her chest and his behind his head.

Watching as Kite gracefully dodged the attack and jumped up, sending a harsh kick to the back of the creatures neck, caused Valentine's eyes to widen slightly as she stood straighter.

It looked like he had put almost no strength into that kick and yet, it was strong enough to make the Chimera stumble.

'Hey, Val?'

Hearing Killua's voice, Valentine hummed slightly and didn't take her eyes off of Kite's fight, turning her head to the side slightly; just to let the silverette know that she was listening.

'I'm worried about you'

Blinking in surprise, eyes of thunder turned his way and Valentine's lips parted in shock as her eyebrows furrowed.

"You're worried about me?",Valentine questioned and watching as he slowly nodded, she blinked; trying to understand why,"How come?"

Eyes of ice looked towards something and wondering what it was exactly, Valentine turned the way he was looking, but once she laid her eyes on the object of his worry, caused her breathing to almost stop.

'I guess it's because I've noticed that it's been harder for me to bring you out of that state',Killua realized.

Sighing slightly, eyes of ice looked in between gorgeous eyes of the sun and Killua slowly lifted his hand, gently placing it on her cheek, causing Valentine's eyes to widen a bit as her breathing hitched.

'I'm just worried that one day... you'll lose yourself'

Hearing the worry in his voice and seeing the concern shinning in his eyes, Valentine slowly reached up, placing her hand on top of his; a bright smile forming on her face as she tilted her head into his hand.

"As long as I have you beside me, I doubt that'll happen"

Feeling as his heart pounded within his chest at her words, eyes of ice widened and Killua's breathing seemed to stop as he stared into her beautiful eyes of gold.

'Valentine..'

No matter what, they'd always need and protect one another.

Even if the whole world was against them.

She needed him like the stars needed the night sky.

And he needed her like the world needed the sun.

As night fell the blue haze of day slowly faded away to reveal the stars and it was a welcoming, but warming sight; like magic.

Stars light the sky like snow-flakes in the night and brought out such a beauty in one another, that they shined so brightly.

The gentle touch of a breeze brushed through the trees with such grace that the leaves danced in the soft winds and made a symphony as leaf softly brushed against leaf.

A darkness seemed to swell within the air, causing eyes of the sun to glance around and peer into the darkness.

The way Zeus's talons softly dig into her shoulder let Valentine know that he had sensed something as well and for them to keep their eyes out.

A light hum left the young blonde's lips and eyelids lowered slightly as she squinted, watching for anything out of the ordinary.

Something was wrong.

They were being watched.

Coming to a stop, Kite slowly looked up and the four stopped as well, the two boys were confused while Zeus and Valentine knew what was wrong.

'We're surrounded',Kite told them,'And by a lot of them, too'

Hearing a loud noise in the distance, the three teens perked up and looked around them.

Clenching her hands into tight fists, Valentine slowly observed the forest and carefully looked between each tree.

A noise came from above as something dropped from the sky and landed in front of them, creating a cloud of dust.

Quickly turning around, Valentine prepared herself for a fight and her eyes narrowed, feeling as Zeus's talons dug into her shoulder as he spread his wings slightly; looking prepared to attack.

'Alright then, shall we decide how to kill you and in what order?',A voice spoke up from within the cloud of dust,'You guys have three choices, I would pick wisely if I were you. One, choose the order you want to fight. Two, you can try to escape. Three, surrender and let us capture you'

The dust began to disperse, revealing the Chimera Ant speaking to them and Valentine slowly tilted her head.

If it weren't her enemy, she would think this little frog-chimera ant were adorable with it's little glasses on it's tiny nose.

'Pick the first option, you will be able to fight us one-on-one in direct combat',The Chimera told them,'You may even survive. I don't recommend the second option; if that is the choice you make, you will only anger us, and you will suffer far more as a result. Option three is the worse choice you could make'

The dust finally cleared fully and revealed all of the Ants that were standing within, their eyes seeming to glow with malice as they stared at the group.

'That is the one that would anger us even more than option two',The frog-chimera explained and one of their companions laughed,'Now then, what will you do?'

Looking up at the much taller male, Gon furrowed his eyebrows together and a determined frown tugged at his lips.

'Kite'

Turning around, Kite looked down at Gon and then, slowly looked between the other two.

'We couldn't have asked for a better deal',Kite told them and turned towards them completely,'One-on-one with their officers, whoever's ready for a fight will go first'

'I'll go first',Killua spoke up, determined.

'No, I will'

Sharply turning towards one another with an eagerness to fight, the two boy's stared at one another with tenacity and begun to do rock-paper-scissors to decide who would go first.

'Show me rock! Rock-paper-scissors!'

Gon had drawn Rock while Killua drew scissors.

A sour look was on the silverette's face as Gon walked away and Valentine let out a soft chuckle, walking towards him.

Placing her hand on Killua's shoulder, the young blonde looked up at the boy and watched as he looked down at her, a gentle laugh leaving her lips as she slowly shook her head in amusement.

"It's okay, Killua, if it'll make you feel better I'll let you go next",Valentine exclaimed and a bright smile formed on her face as she stared up at him.

With his lips twitching up into a smile, eyes of the ocean softened and a soft chuckle left the silverette's lips as he tossed his arm over her shoulders, his body facing forward as he looked down at her.

'I'm not that mad about it, it just means I get to spend longer with you'

Feeling her face flare up with heat at the teasing look on his face and the smugness in his eyes, a small squeak left Valentine's lips as her skin turned as red as a cherry, before quickly looking towards the match with a reddened face.

But as she did so, a soft chuckle filled her ears and she saw out of the corner of her eye that Killua was watching her with a gentle look in his eyes; which was paired with the most tender smile she had ever seen.

Seeing just how red his friends face was, Zeus sharply looked towards Killua and a low trill left his beak as eyes of darkness glared at the boy, every protective cell within his body telling him to snap his beak onto the boy's arm.

But if he had done that, there was the risk of either of them hurting Valentine and he'd never even think of risking that.

So, Zeus did the manliest thing a bird could do and turned back towards the fight, holding in the urge to bite the teen.

With a determined frown, Gon stepped forward and walked past Kite, staring at the ants with a hardened look in his eyes.

'Okay, I'm going first'

Watching the ants, the group studied them and waited for them to send out a fighter of their own.

'Okay, let's see who goes first',One of the ants said.

Another one of the ants shook a small jar in their hand and a small piece of paper stuck out, revealing a number written in black ink.

'Number six'

'Six! Who has it?'

An armadillo-looking ant marched forward and stared at Gon, a small snicker leaving it's lips.

'Lucky me!'

The frog-chimera ant turned towards it's companion and seemed to be either unimpressed or disappointed.

'Baro, is it?'

'How do we know it's over?'

Confused by the boy's question, a hum left the Ant's mouth and it stared at Gon with that stupid smirk still on their face.

'Huh? It's obvious, isn't it?',Baro asked the boy and a wicked smile slowly spread across his lips,'Whoever dies loses'

'Wait, so we can't surrender?'

'What!?'

It was clear that all of the ants were confused by this question and they all looked at one another.

'Are you crazy, kid? If you lose, then we're just gonna feed you to the Queen',Baro explained and stepped forward,'There's only one way you're getting out of this alive and that's if you defeat me'

'Yeah, I can agree with that',Gon agreed,'But you don't have to die if you're the one who ends up losing this. If I win, I'm not gonna eat you'

A growl of irritation left the Ant's muzzle as it got angrier and angrier by the second as Gon continued to speak.

'If you surrender, I'll let you live',Gon explained,'But if you lose, you have to promise me that you'll never eat another human being, not for as long as you're alive'

Loud laughs echoed throughout the air as the whole group of Chimera Ants found Gon's request rather hilarious and an Ant in the back laughed louder than the rest.

'He doesn't know who he's dealing with!'

'He's got a lot more spunk than any prey I've ever seen'

'Yeah, lucky you, Baro!'

'You're dead!',Baro screamed.

Rolling himself into a ball, the Ant charged at Gon with remarkable speed and the green-haired boy jumped to the side to avoid him, causing Baro to crash into a tree; making it fall to the ground.

'Damnit! You dodged that one. Alright fine, then how about this!'

Immediately the Chimera charged for Gon once more and he tried to dodge by jumping out of the way; only for the Ant to take out his tail, striking the ground with it.

A pained gasp left Gon's lips as the Ant crashed into his stomach and ramming him into another tree.

"Gon, no!"

'Gon!'

Shouting out in concern for their friend, Valentine and Killua stepped forward slightly, their eyes widening as they tried to search through the cloud of dust for him.

But once the smoke had disappeared, they both sighed in relief at seeing he was alright.

'I'm okay'

A crazed laugh left the ant's lips and his eyes widened in enjoyment.

'How the hell are you so tough? Come on! Every one of the other humans puked their guts out'

Wiping his mouth, a hard stare was directed the ants way and Gon's eyes seems to glimmer with anger.

'Whatever, I could keep this up all day long',Baro stated,'But you'll never be able to dodge my homing attacks'

Flicking his tail from side to side, the ant kept a close eye on the boy and began to wonder what it would take to bring him down.

'Listen up, there's something you should know before you die',The ant stated,'The main reason that we kill humans isn't so that we can eat them ourselves or even so that we can feed them to the Queen'

'So why do it?'

A vile and twisted smile formed on the ant's face and it's eyes showed just how bloodthirsty these creatures were.

'Because it's fun, of course! I love the sound it makes when you human puke out your guts with a plop! It almost sounds like a bad case of the runs!'

'That isn't funny at all'

'I'm gonna make you vomit your own organs with a plop, too!'

Curling himself into a ball, the Ant immediately rolled towards the boy with quick speeds and Gon brought up his Ren, getting prepared for the attack.

Using his tail, the Ant shot towards Gon quicker and hit the green-haired boy directly.

But what the Chimera Ant wasn't prepared for, was the way Gon had wrapped his arms around him and lifted him into the air.

'He didn't dodge-..',One Ant said.

'Yeah.. he stopped him',Another continued.

As the Ant tried to unravel and break himself free, Gon began to use his strength to crush the creature and pained screams filled the air.

'Compared to Razor's strikes, this is actually a piece of cake!'

Putting more strength into his arms, Gon gritted his teeth and destroyed the Ant, a sickening crack echoing throughout the air as he killed it.

Whistling slightly, Valentine had an impressed look on her face and stared at the blue blood that began to slowly leak out of the creature's body.

'Alright, we're kind of in a hurry so..',Killua spoke up and walked forward, a confident smirk on his face,'Who's my opponent?'

Looking over towards the group, the frog-chimera ant gestured towards the small box.

'Who's next?'

Drawing lots again, a small piece of paper popped out and the Ant holding the contents, looked down at it curiously.

'Number three.. Number three's up!',The ant called out.

Emerging from the crowd, a large and bulky bull-like ant stepped and grit it's teeth, staring down at Killua.

'Settle down, you're too cocky for your own good',The Ant growled out and the two walked towards one another,'I'm about to show you what hell looks like. Got that, don't lump me in with trash like him'

Hearing the words that left the Ant's mouth, Valentine grit her teeth and her eyes blazed with fury as she clenched her fists together tightly.

How dare he talk about a fellow comrade like that!?

"Kick his ass, Killua!"

Clearly surprised by her words, Killua looked towards the blonde with wide eyes as a quiet gasp left his lips and seeing the look on her face, his eyes softened for a moment as his heart raced before he nodded, sending her a quick smile.

Outraged by the girl's words, the Ant sharply turned her way causing Valentine to freeze as her eyes widened and her body tensed at the dangerous look in his eyes.

'What did you say, you damn brat!? After I kill this little punk, I'll enjoy beating you to a pulp!',The creature threatened,'And I'll take my sweet time devouring you right in front of your friends!'

And just by the look in his eyes, the young blonde could tell he was serious.

Watching as Killua's whole body tensed up, the group could feel as the air around them tensed and the atmosphere had seemed to crush them completely.

Charging forward without a word, Killua created multiple doubles of himself and the ant looked between each of the illusions with confusion.

Recklessly charging towards one of the doubles, the Ant let out a cry of anger and before he knew it, they all disappeared causing him to crash into a tree.

As the Ant got up, looking around with a snarl of anger, Killua sharpened his nails with the assassin technique and went straight for the beings heart.

However, his nails couldn't cut through the thick layers of hardened skin and bounced back.

'Sorry, but my entire body's covered with hardened skin!',The Ant boasted proudly and looked down at the boy.

Figuring that he'd have to try out something different, Killua stepped back and seemed to disappear into thin air, causing the Chimera Ant to look around.

But before the creature could react, a bolt of lightning had attacked the same spot and Killua appeared behind him, but the ant turned towards the silverette; steam slowly raising off of the skin.

'Keep it up, I can take as many of those attacks as you've got!'

'Oh really?',Killua asked.

Taking the challenge, the silverette disappeared once more and began to strike the creature many times with bolts of lightning, never giving the insect a slight break from his relentless torture.

He had threatened to hurt the person he cared about and for that, he wouldn't get away.

The once tough skin began to crack and break, causing the creature to gasp in shock, before Killua appeared out of nowhere.

Swiftly shoving his hand into his chest, the silverette quickly crushed the insects heart and watched as it's body fell to the ground, laying motionless.

'You should've kept your damn mouth shut instead of threatening her',Killua spat out in a hiss and his darkened eyes lightened as he turned around, walking back towards the group with his hands shoved into his pockets,'You're lucky that's all I did'

Eyes of thunder were wide in shock and lips of pink were parted as a light gasp left her, a shade of red coating Valentine's cheeks as she stared at the silverette, her eyes almost seeming to glisten.

Scoffing slightly, Killua looked up and his eyes gazed over each of the ants in the group.

'Is there anyone here ten times stronger than this guy?',The silverette insulted and gestured towards the dead Chimera Ant at his feet.

Realizing that it was her turn, Valentine perked up and looked towards Zeus, lightly clicking her tongue which caused the cerulean colored hawk to spread his wings, flying over to Killua as he walked towards them; landing on his shoulder.

Walking past the boy, it seemed as if time slowed down as they walked by one another and as they connected eyes, a small smile spread across Valentine's lips as her eyes shone with a message.

Words that Killua understood clearly.

Looking forward once more, Valentine slowly breathed in and stood up straighter, gazing at the line of Ants.

Just who would her opponent be?
