It was November 1st, the day that Killua, Valentine, Zeus, Gon, Leorio and Kurapika would reunite in Yorknew City.

Currently, the three were walking through the Yorknew market and stalls lined the busy street, containing imported materials, exotic fruits and foods.

It was so crowded that every time they walked, the three bumped shoulders with every pedestrian.

'Wow, look at all of the people!',Gon exclaimed.

Even Zeus couldn't handle the amount of people and he slowly hid his face within locks of blonde, letting out nervous chirps.

He was so used to being around a small group of people and being around a whole crowd, made the young hawk very anxious.

'The whole purpose of this market is to swindle the visitors who've come for the auction',Killua explained.

Confused, Gon looked towards Killua and tilted his head to the side, letting out a hum of curiosity.

'Wait.. so, this isn't the auction venue?',Gon questioned.

Shaking his head, Killua shoved his hands into his pockets and continuously dodged everyone who almost bumped into him.

'No, of course it isn't',Killua stated,'Yorknew's "dream auction" is held once a year in the world's largest auction house. They say that tens of trillions of Jenny exchange hands during only ten days of official bidding'

Shock crossed Gon's face, his mouth dropping open slightly and his eyebrows rose in surprise.

'Tens of trillions? Really?'

With her lips parting, almond shaped eyes; that were like that of opalescent lilies in a lake of celestial maidens, with thin lashes widened in shock and a flabbergasted look painted her face.

Even Zeus's obsidian eyes widened and a shocked screech left his beak.

As Killua began to walk away, Gon and Valentine quickly put back what they were examining, quickening their pace to keep up with the silverette.

'Yeah',He stated,'Something that sells for 10,000 today could go for a hundred million tomorrow. Bam, instant fortune. It's where dreams come true'

Taking in everyone that he said, wide almond-shaped eyes of the sun looked around and everywhere she looked, Valentine saw people paying all sorts of items.

A brunette woman was currently buying a beautiful necklace with a large emerald sitting in the middle of it and the blonde's lips parted at the beauty of it, before she tore her gaze away; continuing to look around while trying not to bump into anyone.

What she didn't notice though, was that a certain silverette was continuously glancing at her from the corner of his eyes and a small smile twitched at his lips, seeing the look of wonder that was glued to her face as her eyes sparkled with curiosity.

'Well anyway, that's a big part of the reason why so much of the underworld auctioning happens at the same time',Killua exclaimed.

With his eyes glistening, Gon brightly smiled and turned towards Valentine, seeing her eyes glistening with amazement, before the sibling-like duo grinned at one another.

'That's awesome!'

With a questioning look on his face, Killua looked forwards and began to wonder something.

Were their friends going to show up?

And deciding to speak up, Killua asked his friends and wanted to know what they thought.

'So hey, do you guys think Kurapika and Leorio are gonna show up?',The silverette questioned.

Immediately perking up at the question, Valentine could hardly contain her happiness as sunshine flooded her soul and it felt like her feet barely touched the ground, happiness streaking through her like a comet as a smile so bright that it could challenge the sun spread across her lips; her eyes crinkling at the corners as her whole mood seemed to skyrocket even more.

It was very clear to the two boys that she was very excited; if that was the right word to use with how she could barely contain her excitement, to see their two older friends again and it made them smile slightly.

"I sure hope so!",Valentine exclaimed happily, pretty much bouncing on the tip of her toes as she walked alongside the two and she tried so hard to not burst into a scream of happiness.

With a small chuckle leaving his lips, Gon's chocolate eyes turned away from her and gazed towards Killua as he nodded his head.

'They promised they'd meet us here today, so I'm sure they will',Gon stated.

Letting out a small hum, Killua slowly nodded his head and looked towards his friends, watching as both Valentine and Gon's faces were bright with excitement.

He didn't want to bring down their mood and think that they weren't going to show.

'Right',Killua said,'They might try to contact us, so..'

Pulling his phone out of his pocket, Killua pressed a button and the screen instantly lit up.

Remembering that neither of his friends have a phone, Killua quickly turned their way and furrowed his eyebrows together.

The blonde used to have one, but she had dropped it when Zeus surprised her by unexpectedly screeching in her ear and it had instantly broken once it hit the ground.

Damn bird.

'Val, Gon, you two have really gotta get phones!',Killua exclaimed,'Every hunter needs one'

Slowly reaching his hand up, Gon nervously chuckled and itched the back of his head as a small drop of sweat fell down the side of his face.

'Yeah, I know',Gon dragged out.

Slowly turning her head to glance at the hawk on her shoulder, Valentine watched as his obsidian eyes widened and if he could, Zeus would've definitely been sweating right about now.

Stopping by a shop, the three were having a difficult time trying to find the right pair of phones for both Valentine and Gon, but they weren't sure which one's to buy.

Just as the two were about to buy the one with the great GPS; as the seller said, a voice spoke up from behind the four.

'Don't bother'

With hums of curiosity, the three; including Zeus, turned around and seeing a very familiar face, they all immediately perked up at the same time.

'The range is terrible and it's not even water proof',The man said and slowly opened his eyes, looking at the four with a large smile on his face,'The only thing it's good for is making phone calls'

"Leorio!"

'Hey'

Seeing the man, Zeus let out a screech of happiness and immediately opened his wings, taking flight towards the older man, landing on his shoulder with a churr of content.

It was clear that he had missed Leorio as he gently rubbed his beak against the man's cheek and his eyes were closed as small purrs left his beak.

Running forward, Valentine threw her arms around the older man and hugged him close, a small smile on her face.

Letting out a small chuckle, Leorio wrapped his arms around the girl, hugging her tightly for a moment.

After a moment, Leorio pulled away before walking towards the stand, leaning forward and examined the phones with a small hum.

'Instead, I would recommend..',Leorio trailed off and spotting the one he was looking for, he immediately picked it up,'This Beetle 07. It's pretty heavy and expensive, but it can translate over 200 languages from places all around the globe'

It was a bulky and clearly heavy, maroon colored beetle shaped phone and it was clear that it was expensive, but if Leorio was saying that it was the best to buy, then Valentine trusted him.

'Wait, really?',Killua questioned and immediately perked up, before looking towards Gon and Valentine,'Hey, get this one and I'll get one too'

"That's a good idea.."

Nodding in agreement, the three looked up at Leorio as he smiled and looked towards the salesman.

'Three of these beauties, please!',Leorio said.

With a small nod, the salesman added up the price in his head and told the raven-haired man the total.

'That'll be 600,000'

With his eyes almost bulging out of their sockets, a look of shock painted Leorio's face and his mouth dropped in perplexity.

'Six hundred— That's highway robbery!',Leorio shouted.

As the four walked down the street, the three children looked at the phones in their bags and smiled up at the older man.

They were thankful that he had bought them for them.

'Thanks, Leorio!'

"Thank you so much!"

With a small smile on his face, Leorio stuffed his hands into his pockets and shrugged slightly, looking between the three, with Zeus now on Valentine's shoulder once more.

'Sure, but 110,580 Jenny apiece?',Leorio questioned,'And that's a fair price for a new model in this market!'

Shaking his head, Killua stuffed his hand into his pocket and let out a small sigh, rolling his eyes.

'Still, you overdid it',Killua stated,'I've never seen anyone get applause for buying a cell phone before'

He was referring to how Leorio had managed to somehow lower the prices on the phones.

'But you really saved us',Gon said.

'That was just a taste of what I'm capable of',Leorio bragged,'The real deals don't really start rolling until after the seller asks you to leave'

As Leorio let out an overconfident laugh, Valentine snorted softly and began to imagine Leorio getting dragged out and literally thrown out of a store for trying to lower a price too much.

It was quite a sight to imagine.

With a small drop of sweat falling down the side of his face, Gon turned towards his friends and let out a nervous chuckle.

'He doesn't really strike me as the auction-going type'

"Me neither",Valentine muttered under her breath and it was just low enough that only Gon, Killua and Zeus could hear her,"He strikes me as the 'getting dragged out of the store for talking too much' type"

With a snorting laugh, Killua smiled and slowly shook his head, turning his icy eyes her way.

'No kidding'

Stopping with his laughing, Leorio questioningly looked towards the four and looked between them.

'So, how're you coming along?'

Confused as to what he was asking, the three looked towards him and Zeus let out a chirp of confusion as Killua, Valentine and Gon let out hums of curiosity.

'You four have been training and getting stronger, haven't you?',Leorio questioned them.

Letting out a small snort, Killua turned his head to the side and tried to hold in his laughter, causing Valentine to turn towards him with a small smile on her face.

Gently bumping her hip against his, the blonde watched as eyes of ice turned her way and seeing the smile on her face, caused his own to widen as he bumped his hip against her's, causing Valentine to stumble slightly to the side.

And thus, began their small war to see who could push the other over.

And the winner, was Killua; who laughed at her misfortune, but eventually helped her up; even though he continued to chuckle.

Sitting down at a table, the three happily munched on hamburgers and since Zeus couldn't really eat those, the young hawk was happily chewing on some berries; with small chunks of meat on a smaller plate beside his little bowl of berries.

'What? You gave the badge back to Hisoka at Heavens Arena!? Not to mention, you were good enough to reach the 200th floor. And Valentine has two siblings!'

Pausing in her eating, Valentine looked up and held up her finger.

"Ugh, I have three, actually",She corrected.

Seeing the looks of shock being thrown her way, the young blonde looked between the three and her eyes were wide as she looked at each of them as they stared at her with gaping mouths.

"..What?"

Sitting back down, Leorio placed his fists on the table and leaned back, a small sigh leaving his lips.

'Just how strong have you guys gotten?',The bespectacled man questioned.

Trying to cheer him up a bit, Gon tilted his head and his eyes filled with curiosity.

'Hey, did you learn Nen yet, Leorio?'

Smirking slightly, Leorio pushed his glasses back up the bridge of his nose and slowly nodded his head.

'You better believe I did',The man stated.

Slightly surprised, but incredibly ecstatic to hear this, Valentine perked up and brightly smiled at the man.

"Wait, really!?",Valentine exclaimed,"That's amazing!"

With a bright smile, Gon perked up and placed his drink down.

'That's awesome!'

Not convinced, Killua raised an eyebrow at the raven-haired man and had an unconvinced look on his face.

'Seriously?'

Leaning back in his chair, Leorio looked towards the silverette in shock and his eyes widened slightly.

'Why the hell would I lie about that?',He questioned and placed his hands on his chest, confidently smiling as he closed his eyes for a moment,'It's building up a shroud of aura, making your own life force even stronger!'

Feeling her confidence in him fade away, a small drop of sweat rolled down the side of her face and Valentine's smile immediately dropped as she winced slightly.

He wasn't even close.

A disappointed groan left Killua's lips and he slowly shook his head, taking one hand off of his burger to rub his forehead in aggravation.

"That's actually Ten, Leorio",Valentine explained, a small and hesitant smile on her face,"One of the four major principles of actually learning Nen"

'You were close though..',Gon trailed off.

At least he tried.

Leaning forward, a look of shock covered Leorio's face and a drop of sweat rolled down his temple, his eyes blown wide with shock.

'What!?',Leorio exclaimed,'Are you saying there's more to it!?'

With a deadpanned look on his face, Killua turned his gaze towards Valentine and watched as she looked his way.

'I figured it'd be something like that'

They were all now in a hotel room.

'Greed Island? What's that?'

Valentine was currently laying upside down on the couch with Zeus sitting on her stomach and Killua was sitting beside them, while Gon was sitting in a chair.

'A legendary game',Killua answered, taking a light yellow, bunny shaped lollipop out of his mouth.

'We're hoping to get a copy at the auction'

With everyone upside down in her eyes, Valentine's golden gaze switched between the upside version of her friends and a goofy smile was plastered on her lips.

"If it's not too hard to get"

Hearing her voice, the three turned her way and looks of shock and annoyance were thrown her way, causing Valentine to look between them with that stupid, goofy smile still glued to her face.

'But why would you even want one?'

'I think the game.. might have a clue in it that'll help me find my dad',Gon answered.

Eyes widening in shock, Leorio pulled his cup of coffe away from his lips and stared at the green-haired boy.

'A clue hidden in some video game?',Leorio asked,'Why do you think that?'

Still looking at Valentine with his eyebrows furrowed together, Killua slowly tilted his body sideways so that his face was vertical to her own and gazed into her glistening gaze that was like the color of the fuzziest bumblebee, her eyes glistening brightly under the lights.

As a small giggle left her lips, Killua slowly shook his head and frowned, even more confused; but he mostly tried not to smile at her antics.

'What're you doing, idiot?',Killua questioned.

With her goofy smile spreading even wider, Valentine's eyes glistened even more as she perked up and gently gazed at the boy; her eyes soft.

"Laying upside down",Valentine said, stating the obvious.

Letting out a small huff, the silverette rolled his icy eyes and slowly shook his head.

'I can see that, dumbass',Killua stated, looking back towards the blonde with his eyebrows furrowed,'What I mean is, why are you laying like that?'

With that goofy smile still on her face, Valentine shrugged lightly and softly giggled, her eyes closing for a moment.

And as her eyes were closed, she didn't notice the soft look the silverette was giving her and she didn't see the small smile that was on his lips because once she opened her eyes, he looked annoyed and confused once more.

"Because it's fun",Valentine answered.

Squinting his eyes with a confused look on his face, Killua stared at the blonde for a moment and slowly shook his head, looking away from the girl.

She may have been weird, but she made his heart pound and his stomach flutter as if butterflies were flying around in it all day; which he didn't understand what it meant.

But, he'd soon find out.

'Anyway, the problems the cost',Killua said, getting back into the conversation at hand.

Taking the cup away from his lips, Leorio switched his gaze between them and tilted his head in confusion.

'How much is it?',He questioned.

"Umm, well.. the lowest bid would be about 8.9 billion"

Hearing her words, Leorio immediately spit out the coffee in his mouth and caused the hot liquid to go all over the table as his mouth gaped open in shock.

'Did you say billion!?',Leorio exclaimed and looked between them,'How much do you have?'

With small drops of sweat falling down the sides of their faces, the three looked towards one another and winced slightly.

'After some bad investments, we're down to.. five million',Gon stated and nervously itched the back of his head.

With a smile on his face, Leorio looked between the three and gave them a close-eyed smile.

'Okay, guys, listen up',He stated, causing the three to look towards him,'This event is being held at Southernbees, the world's finest auction house, so that much money won't even cover the entry fee'

Raising his eyebrows, Gon tilted his head and stared at the older man in confusion.

'But the acquisition rank for the game was listed as "easy" on the Hunter website',Gon stated.

With her eyes widening, Valentine turned her gaze towards the ground and blinked slowly.

If the game was ranked easy to get, then she didn't even want to know how difficult to get something that was ranked "hard".

Perking up at Gon's statement, Leorio placed his cup on the table and kept his finger through the handle.

'Really?',He questioned.

Nodding to his question, Gon leaned forward in his chair and rested his chin on his crossed arms.

'Because to get your hands on a copy, all you need is money',Gon stated.

Leaning back against the couch, a wide smile was on Leorio's face and he threw his arms around the back of it.

'It's like I always say, money makes the world go round!',Leorio exclaimed and had a large smile on his face.

Hearing Killua speaking up, the three turned his way and saw that he was sitting on the windowsill, one of his legs on it with his arm resting over his leg.

'Well, all that really means.. is that real treasure can't just be purchased',Killua explained and his icy eyes glistened in the light,'If you can't get one; and pretty easily too, you're not much of a Hunter'

With a cocky smirk on his face, Killua placed the bunny-shaped lollipop between his lips and stared at the two other guys in the room, his eyes glistening with playfulness.

'Right, you guys?'

The boys across the room narrowed their gazes at the silverette and growled lowly under their breaths.

As Gon and Leorio were leaned over the computer across the room, trying to find ways to make money in Yorknew City, Killua sat down next to Valentine; who was gently running her fingers through Zeus's feathers.

And it was clear that the Hawk enjoyed it since his eyes were closed and low purr-like noises left him.

Realizing that he hadn't really asked her much about what happened at Heavens Arena, Killua hesitated to speak up and slowly, gained the courage to ask her.

'Hey Val.. can I ask you something?'

Letting out a soft hum of curiosity, Valentine slightly turned her head towards the silverette and it let him know that she was listening, even though she kept her eyes on Zeus.

'At Heavens Arena.. Akari said something to you and you looked scared.. or upset',Killua said,'I was wondering, what did she say?'

With her shoulders tensing up and her fingers stopping in their movement, Valentine's eyes widened at his question and she kept her gaze away from his own, keeping her eyes on Zeus; who tried to get her to pet him again as he bit at her fingers.

"She was talking about my twin brother... Jaxon"
