Blood dripped onto the ground forming a row of red drops behind them. The male beta carried the alpha who he found after following the dreadful howls for help.

The alpha was barely conscious. He was in too much pain to even make the smallest of movement. He who transformed back into his human form unable to stay in his wolf shape - his body too weak.

The male beta recognized the alpha. It clearly was the mate of the heir. That's why he immediately picked up the alpha and rushed him back to the village.

The two guards turned their heads to the side, hearing the footsteps. The male beta emerged from the darkness of the cave. The guards' eyes widened seeing the state of the alpha in the beta's arms.

The guards made eye contact with each other for a second and nodded. First, the one guard howled and then followed by the other guard. In a matter of seconds, a big wolf came sprinting down the hill.

The wolf came to a stop and hurriedly changed into his human form. Namjoon stepped closer, his eyes locked on the alpha. Curious people of the pack formed a small crowd on the hill, wanting to see what was going on.

"Taehyung- what happened to you?" Namjoon asked while taking Taehyung into his arms.

"Jimin," whispered Taehyung making Namjoon frown.

"Jimin? What about him?"

"Jimin w-where is Jimin...Jimin..."

Taehyung whispered the name of his mate one more time before losing consciousness.

The next moment an omega and alpha burst out from the crowd and ran down the hill.

"Oh gosh- my Taehyungie!"

The omega started to cry from the utter shock of seeing her son's condition. Dark purple bruises covered his skin. Blood seeping into his clothes. Huge cuts of where claws had torn his skin.

The alpha's hands were shaking while Namjoon put his son in his arms.

"Take him to the packhouse," said Namjoon. "Go go!"

He watched as the parents ran up the hill, crying, hoping for their beloved son to still have life in him. Namjoon turned to the male beta.

"Where did you find him?" asked Namjoon.

"I found him deep in the forest. Alpha, I think he was attacked by a rogue," said the male beta.

"Or more than one rogue...Was he the only one you saw?"

"Yes, Alpha," said the beta without any hesitation.

Namjoon thanked the beta for his kind act of saving a life. Soon as the beta went away Namjoon turned to the guards.

"I instructed you not to let Jimin exit the village, did I not?"

"Yes Alpha. We didn't see Jimin, only Taehyung entered the cave," said one of the guards.

"Unless he sneaked out...and Taehyung went with him- FUCK!"

Namjoon grabbed his hair out of frustration. His worse fear became a reality. He turned around and ran up the hill. He hurried around the packhouse to the training fields.

The beta raised his eyebrows seeing his friend running towards him.

"Yoongi, I need search teams!"

"Why? For who?"

"Jimin is missing!"

Yoongi eyes widened. Now he understood why Namjoon is in such a frantic state.

"He is missing since this morning- I want all search teams out there RIGHT NOW!"

"Yes Alpha," said Yoongi and ran towards the field.

Yoongi realized Namjoon has trusted him with the task as he was not in the right mindset right now. Yoongi was more fit to form the searching teams and ensure they are cognizant of what to do.

"Joon?"

Namjoon turned around hearing the voice behind him.

"What is going on?" asked Jin, completely oblivious.

Namjoon stepped closer and held onto Jin's hands.

"Love, there was- Taehyung was attacked by rogues," said Namjoon making Jin's eyes widen.

"What- Is he alright?"

"I'm sure he will be but Jin he wasn't alone. I think Jimin went outside with him."

"Well then where is he? Gosh, he must be so worried about his mate and-"

"Jin listen!" interrupted Namjoon, making Jin go silent. "Taehyung returned alone...No one knows where Jimin is."

Jin stared at him with an emotionless expression written on his face. He was just waiting for Namjoon to say this is all a joke. Jin glanced over at the fields. The sight of the wolves being divided into small groups by Yoongi made the reality sink in.

Without even noticing himself, Jin's breath started to hitch. His heart thudded in his chest. The blood pounded in his ears.

"He could be- no no not again-"

His hands started to shake. His vision became disfigured.

Just then Jin was gently pulled closer. He felt feel two arms wrap around his waist. A warm cheek pressed against his and then he could feel the breath next to his ear.

"Let's breathe together. Inhale," said the deep soothing voice.

Namjoon inhaled, soon followed by Jin.

"Hold it...now exhale."

They both exhaled.

"Good, one more time. Inhale."

They continued taking deep breaths in and out together until Jin had calmed. Namjoon whispered promises in Jin's ear. He assured Jin that everything will be alright and that Jimin will be back in their arms real soon. When actually he was terrified - there's no guarantee that he would ever see his son again.
