Jin's eyes fluttered open. A bright light came in from the window, making him squint his eyes. He sat upright on the bed. For a moment his vision was blurry but got back to normal after he blinked a few times.

Jin was about to take the glass of water from the nightstand when he suddenly pulled his hand back. He jumped onto his feet and frantically looked around the room. The unfamiliar room.

He rushed over to the window hoping to see where he is. But his view was blocked by a big tree, making him more anxious. Jin then ran to the door and to his shock it opened. It's not locked, he can just leave?

Jin looked left and right. He heard voices coming from one side. He panicked and ran down the hallway. The hallway led him to a big open room. He walked to the frontdoor and opened it.

His eyes widen when he stepped outside. From the spot where he stood, he had the perfect view over a village. It looked unreal like it's from a fantasy.

The village was built entirely of crumbling umber limestone. Small houses were scattered all over the place in the field of verdant grass. There were paths, formed from people walking the same trail for years. Sunlight arrowed through the branches of the trees.

There were a few people standing around, talking with each other. Little kids running around, playing in the streets. They had refulgent smiles. They all looked at ease.

The man and woman stepped into the room. They stopped talking when they spotted Jin.

"Oh, you're awake," said the man and started approaching Jin.

"No stay- stay back," said Jin making him stop in his tracks.

He slowly backed away from Jin. He knew that Jin could tell he is an alpha. He didn't want to scare the omega even more.

"W-where am I and where is Hoseok?"

Before the Alpha could answer, Jin stepped inside and ran down the hallway.

"No don't," the woman said when he was about to go after Jin. "I will talk to Jin. You go get Hoseok."

The alpha nodded and ran out of the room. The woman went down the hallway where she found Jin.

"Hoseok? HOSEOK?"

Jin looked everywhere in search of his dear friend. He flinched when a hand suddenly touched his shoulder.

"Hoseok is on his way," said the woman.

"He is here?" asked Jin and received a nod from her.

"Yes, why don't you come with me. Let's go back to the room."

She took his hand and led him back to the room. Jin gladly followed, trusting the omega.

The two sat down on the bed.

"Your name is Jin, right?"

"Yes."

"Alright, Jin. Nice to meet you. I'm Yujun, the Luna of the Anjeon pack."

"Anjeon? This is the Anjeon pack?"

Yujun nodded her head. Soon a beta come running into the room.

"Hoseok!"

Jin jumped up and was brought into a hug by Hoseok.

"You're awake. How do you feel? Does it hurt anywhere? Do you-"

"I'm fine. Is my little one alright?"

"Yes, no harm there," said Hoseok making Jin sigh in relief.

Yujun watched as the two friends stayed in each other's embrace. Holding onto one another as if their lives depended on it.

"I think you two should get some rest before dinner. How does that sound?" suggested Yujun.

Jin and Hoseok nodded in agreement and climbed into the bed. Right before exiting, Yujun stopped at the door. She looked over her shoulder at the two cuddled together.

She can tell that these two souls have been through a lot. That they must have run from a terrible place. From horrid people who badly hurt them. Who used them. Here in her pack, she will make sure that they are comfortable and safe.
