Narrator POV
"Zachary!" a deep voice shouted and the name echoed in the large room.
After a minute an angel arrived with heavy breath.
"yes, God? What do you need?" " I have a mission for you, Zachary... I think the time has arrived" he started and the angel looked so happy, with a big smile on his lips but he composed himself when he remembered who was sitting in front of him.
"as you want God. If you think I'm ready, I'm ready" God nodded and even if he was a reserved person, the angel Zachary was his favorite. Obv he loves everyone equally but Zach is special.
"your target is Jack Avery and you know what you have to do" Zach bowed a deft the big white room, with the help of his late wings.
He was so excited since this is his moment. Becoming a guardian angel is important, you have to take care of a human and their lives are in your hands. He trained for this for all his life and now he's ready, ready to chase his dream.

The next day Zachary got ready to fly down on Earth since God and angelic creatures live in heaven, which is right above the human world. Before leaving, he looked at himself in the mirror and smiled proudly to what he become, he couldn't be more proud. He arrived at the famous golden gates, the one's that ppl want to go through so bad, and he turned to look at the place he calls home. It's not like he was going to be away forever by he liked that place a lot since Zach can't remember anything about his human life. After he said goodbye, he looked at his friend Corbyn who us the guardian of the gates and with a smile he flew down to Earth.

When he arrived there, he was amazed by everything. He has seen the human world before but from heaven is a completely different thing. There were ppl everywhere, the roads were busy and noisy and everything seemed so different to him. But he didn't want to waste time, he had to find this Jack Avery. He spread his big white wings and started to look around and after a bit be found him in a quiet neighborhood. Zach looked at the boy from far away and he imagined him differently.
Jack has blond and curly hair, honey eyes and a cute face. He is a skater boy and his style is always on point. A few tattoos are spread on his arms and a golden ring is attached to his nose but the black ink and the piercing didn't give him a bad boy look.

Jack didn't see Zach so he kept skating on his skateboard peacefully while Zachary was looking at him. It might sound creepy but that's what guardian angels have to do so Zach was doing a great job. He followed Jack flying over his head but keeping a distance when at an intersection a car didn't stop and it was about to hit Jack. Zach instinctively flew vastly towards Jack grabbing him to keep him safe, while the car ran over the wooden board. Zach brought Jack back to land when it was all quiet and the boy looked so confused and shocked. Now Zach has to explain everything so he stopped the time and got ready for the human's questions.

"What kind of prank is this?!" he almost yelled and then noticed that time was frozen.
"wait am I dead and are you some kind of angel that is supposed to bring me to heaven?"
Zach looked at him and then started "no Jack, I'm your guardian angel so I'm supposed to look after you. And before you ask, yes I can stop time and yeah you're the only one that can see me" Jack was put of words since Zach predicted all of his questions.
"don't worry Jack you're not going crazy, everything is fine. I'm here to help you and we can actually be best friends but I have to ask you something" Jack simply nodded.
"you can't tell anyone about this, not cuz it's a secret but they won't understand you so you're just gonna seem crazy" Jack's face went serious as he listened to the angel.
"ok I promise I won't tell anything but if you are my guardian angel prepare yourself cuz I'm an actual mess" the boy laughed since it was the truth but Zach loves challenges.

Some time passed since their first encounter and now Jack and Zach are more than best friends, brothers. The skater boy got in trouble a few times but Zach was always there for him. Sometimes it happened that Zach broke the rules for Jack but God allowed him, so Zach stopped time to let Jack sleep more, helped Jack to cheat during tests and Zach even asked Cupid about Jack's crush so that the angel could help. All those things were forbidden to guardian angels but God was so proud of Zachary and he knew the boy only wanted to help. But there was still a secret that was tormenting God's mind.

It was a normal day for the inseparable duo, the usual routine but in the middle of the day, a letter arrived. It was for Zach and it came from heaven so the 2 friends read it together. There was written only a phrase -come back home- and at the end the signature of God. Zach knew that he had to go so he looked at Jack with friendly eyes and the mate just nodded knowing that it was important. Then Zach started his way back hind.
Once there, Corbyn showed him the way and instantly Zachary felt at the right place, at home. But don't get it wrong, he loved being with Jack. He was standing in front of God, who was sitting on his throne as always and when Zach was about to speak, the Lord stood up and walked towards the angel and hugged him. At the touch, the room went full of light and it was pure magic. Zach was shocked, God never touches anyone so it was something new, unexpected. They embraced each other for a few minutes, then God started
"Zachary I have this secret and it's time I tell you..." the angelic servant stayed silent.
"you are actually my son, my only son. That why you ding remember about your human life, you never had one" Zach didn't know what to say, his feelings we're confused, he was confused. But he felt something warm in his heart and he hugged his father again. His head pressed on the chest of God and that made both of them feel complete. The silence in the room was comfortable about soon it broke by Zach's voice.
"you let me did whatever I wanted with Jack only cuz in your son right?" after a few minutes God answered.
"no I did it cuz it was the right thing to do" Zach nodded and they lived happily ever after.
