9. Do you still love him?... Yes!

Fasbir restaurant offers menus for Lunch and Dinner. The restaurant has a romantic atmosphere with romantic ornaments and music. Within a year of its opening, Fasbir restaurant has been recognised for its quality of food and extraordinary service.

In the Fasbir Restaurant, Maryam is sitting, diving into the meal that she ordered and was served within five minutes.

Inaaya entered the restaurant, wearing a red and white kimono matched with a white purse and red shoes.

She scanned the restaurant and sighted Maryam and walked towards her table, as she sat on the chair facing her.

"Is what you told me true? Is that what they did to you? Why didn't you call me? Indecent woman, I would've humiliated her,"

Maryam sighed, wiping her mouth with a tissue. "Ke de bari (just leave it), My mind is not at peace now,".

"Dolle Hankali ya tashi (Your mind won't be at peace) Your Aunty Jidda is a village woman, har yanzu bata waye ba (she's not civilized). what will you do now?"

"I don't know what to do. The one I'm in love with doesn't love me. I think I should marry, Yazid: he's a good man,".

Inaaya can't believe what Maryam just said "In that house. Even though you are not going to live with them. You know how they can be; Aunty Jidda and Shukrah,".

"What do you want to eat?" Maryam asked.

"You know I don't like eating restaurant food, I prefer homemade food,".

"Me too. I came to speak with you, and I'm from the bank, I'm hungry,".

"This situation of yours needs dua. Only dua is the solution. Do you still love Abaan?"

Sadness was written all over her face; she still loves him, she is in love with Abaan.

"You know... Wallahi I thought is just infatuation or crush. Because you see he is handsome,". Inaaya said

"Ke dai bari (just leave it) I don't know how to stop thinking about him, I even told myself the only way I can forget about him is to stop talking to him. Can you believe it I even deleted his number, but I have already crammed it. I see myself trying to call him,".

Inaaya laughed. "What if you see him now because his father's company is not far from here. Do you want us to go so you can see him?".

"Dan Allah... Just leave it, let me tell you, and I'll be thinking that I'll see him, or he'll come to me, or he'll come, and say, Maryam... Maira, I love you too, I love you with all my heart and soul,".

"Maira...,".

"Right now I can hear his voice calling my name,".

Inaaya turned to the restaurant entrance, and she saw Abaan walking towards them. "Abaan...,".

Maryam gave him a surprised look as she saw him, she didn't realise when her mouth turn upward; a smile formed on her lips.

"Inaaya Yaro," Abaan smiled, he sat on the chair between them, facing an empty chair.

The table has four chairs sides.

"Say it, and say it again, Inaaya Jamal will be the only wife of Uzair Yaro. I was just telling Maryam that we may see you here. How are you?".

"Alhamdulilah... I came for lunch before  I hurry back to work,". He averted his eyes to Maryam.  "Maira... Long time,"

"You've hidden, I no longer see you," Maryam replied, her voice saying it all how much she missed him.

"Is because of my hectic work schedule, but soon I'll be less busy and you'll see me all the time and get tired of me,".

"I'll never get tired of seeing you," 'If I could have you around me every time'

"Where are Haifa and Adil? How are they?" Inaaya asked.

"They are with their parents. I haven’t heard from them in two weeks so I’m going to visit them,"

"Work is taking you away from us," Inaaya said.

Abaan glanced at Maryam, She seems to have lost eye focus, the corners of her mouth drawn downwards.

"Something is upsetting her," said Inaaya in a sad voice, worried about her best friend and she knows exactly what was troubling her.

Inaaya knew how Aunty Jidda has eyes on her and her mother, and she even noticed her taunt many times but she can't forget when - she and Maryam are about to go to the university for the first time when Aunty Jidda came and insulted Maryam that she's going to go and started selling her body because she knows how university ladies are.

"What happened?" Abaan asked worriedly.

Abaan held Maryam's hand on the table, Maryam felt his hand on hers is the most comforting thing she had ever experienced. Maryam peered into his brown eyes 'is he worried about me?'

"What happened?" He asked with a calm-loving voice.

Inaaya stood up and walked to another table.

"Nothing, Abaan," she replied, trying to let her hand go, he held it tightly.

"I won't let you go until you tell me,"

"Really, Abaan, nothing...," Maryam insisted as they heard a voice.

"Toh yar iska, (Indecent girl)"

Maryam let her hand go, looking at the lady, her eyes widened. She couldn't believe it; It was shukrah wearing a short tight shirt that made her navel a bit visible, with pencil jeans and a small veil that covers nothing; Maryam found her dressing disgusting.

Shukrah is uncivilised just like her mother, Aunty Jidda. They lead a life thinking they are the most civilized people on earth; Hajiya Hauwa has taught her daughter that money is the most important thing in life.

Every week shukrah is with a different man, disgusting men, who she favours in exchange for money.

"Yau nagani da eye ina, da gaske yawan karuwanci kike, ashe da gaske ne, Sannunki bayan kisan zaki auri yaya na, ama yawo karuwanci keke ( Today, I have seen it with my eye. It's true you are a prostitute, it's true, great job after you know you will marry my brother, but you are a prostitute)

Inaaya advanced towards Shurkah. "Karki kuskura ki sake zagin Maryam, saboda baki dace ba, Kuma ki dena turanci baki dace dashi ba wai eye, ana eyes (Don't you dare insult Maryam again, because you are not suitable, and refrain from speaking English, you are not eligible; its eyes, not eye)," Inaaya laughed.

Maryam and Abaan stood up seeing the scene between Inaaya and shukrah.

Inaaya averted her eyes to Maryam, whose eyes are imploring her to stop. Even though she understands what Maryam is trying to convey; Inaaya pay no heed and said.

"Kinji wani turanci, dolle nasa a dictionary na... yanzu za kiji tace who is the dicsionary here ( Can you hear a new English word, it's a must for me to put it in my dictionary: You will now hear her say who is the dicsionary here),".

Maryam pressed her index finger to her mouth pleading with Inaaya to keep quiet. She doesn't want the situation to be worse.

''Zan tafi. Ke kuma zaki sani yar iska... kai kuma dan kana san ka da lafiya, karka sake zuwa wajanta (I will leave, you are going to regret it indecent girl. And you if you want peace don't ever come to close to her)," Shurkah said to Maryam and Abaan as she turned and walked away.

"Yar iska kawai anyi twenty-eight, ba aure sai bin maza (indecent girl, you are already twenty-eight not married, but following men)," Inaaya said, angrily.

Maryam took her bag and strode out of the restaurant, Inaaya following behind her.

Maryam slides into her car and drives off at a speed.

Abaan walked out of the restaurant, he met Inaaya staring at Maryam's car on the road driving at a speed.
