anderson's apartment
8:45 PM
STORM SAT IN HER BED WITH her gray sweatpants and black oversized t-shirt as the light from her lamp beamed across her room. she just wanted to be comfortable tonight. she had lofi beats playing on her computer at a low volume while her parents were still at work. storm usually wrote in her journal while listening to music, or she would binge watch the twilight series. She was only on the second movie so far. however right now, she only wanted to relax and clear her head.
storm didn't know what to think about the events that occurred not too long ago. she found the whole situation awkward. she appreciated the hero's concern, but her apartment was just two corners away. she thought she could've been a little less harsh to robin, but she hated the thought of people underestimating her.
she used to learn self defense from her dad. enough self defense to protect herself from the random street weirdos in gotham. but other than that, she found it weird to even stumble across a hero, considering it was storm's first time meeting one.
did he really think she was in danger, though? did she really need to be watched? storm was already aware of robin straight up ignoring what she had said earlier about her being capable of going home by herself. but there was no point in arguing about it because she most likely wouldn't be able to see him again.
storm really had a lot of things to tell trevor. he would most likely go crazy, rambling about how insane it was to meet robin, knowing how skillful he is with defeating all types of bad guys with batman. although storm thought robin was a cool guy, it wasn't like she was some type of fangirl or something. she appreciated the fact that he was willing to help, but not the persistency.
forgetting about the whole situation that took place earlier, storm went to go fix her a sandwich. she put all of her braids up into a simple ponytail and shot out of the bed. she only wanted to get a quick snack, since she wasn't really that hungry. she even thought about going to sleep after that. even though it was friday, she couldn't really think of anything to do. if she went out again, robin would've probably taken that as a chance to watch over her again, which was a situation storm definitely didn't want to go through again.
storm walked down the dark, quiet hallway softly. as she walked across the living room, she noticed something weird while she peered outside of the living room's window. it looked like a human shaped figure sitting on top of another building that was not too far from hers. was it... watching her? maybe that it was robin. but she saw him leave as soon as she entered her apartment building. so what could possibly be stalking her now?
storm kept questioning whether she should address the figure or not. maybe she was seeing things, considering she didn't have her glasses on at the moment. but she still couldn't see anything else but a person, plus it looked a little like a shadow.
why do i have to be this blind? storm complained mentally as she squinted, still trying to make out the unusual shape. even if it was just her imagination, she still wanted to keep a close lookout, just in case someone was mysteriously watching her. she didn't exactly feel as safe anymore and she was very desperate for her parents to return from work.
storm finally made her way to the kitchen. after storm got done making her a sandwich, she put it on a paper plate and she made her way back to her bedroom. she could've called trevor and stayed on the phone with him until her parents returned home, but she didn't want to bother him, considering how busy was today.
however, whatever was staring at her through her window made her feel unsafe alone. she wasn't terrified, but she still wanted someone there to make her feel comfortable enough to get that creature from out of her damn head.
quit being so paranoid. it could've been something else. i mean come on, i don't even have my glasses on.
whatever she said in her head seemed to ease down her nerves, considering how her heart rate slowly went back down to its normal speed. storm felt too lazy to go back down the hallway and through the living room to throw her plate away, so she just set it on top of her dresser and turned off her lamp.
she laid on her stomach as she tugged her blankets on top of her, comfortably positioning herself so she could fall asleep fast. storm decided to go to bed early so she could at least try to prevent herself from waking up late for tomorrow. storm would usually sleep an hour later, but she didn't want to stress herself out about getting up, despite the fact that she was a very heavy sleeper and that it would most likely take a miracle to wake her up.
however this time, she didn't want to go through that. she wanted to wake up exactly when her alarm rang.
alright, dummy. take your stupid ass to sleep.

downtown café
10:15 AM
"so you're telling me you ran into damian wayne and robin on the same day? i don't know if i should be jealous or impressed." trevor stated as he sipped his caramel frappuccino.
storm just shrugged. "i mean it's not really that big of a deal. damian wayne's an asshole and robin's my new personal stalker, so no need to be jealous or impressed."
"new personal stalker? isn't it him and batman's job to protect gotham?"
storm rolled her eyes. "well yeah, but i didn't need to be protected. i was taking my usual shortcut home from my 'personal cave'."
trevor slightly snickered at how annoyed she was at the situation that took place yesterday. "you walked through that alley again, didn't you? no wonder why he had to stalk you. do you know how many people get snatched up in alleys?"
"i dare a bitch to try and snatch me. i have the strongest bitch slap in the world. plus, why would someone want to kidnap or kill me just for the fun of it? i'm seriously not that special." storm said bluntly.
"storm, there are real alley crackheads who like to snatch little children like you just for the fun of it. nothing new around gotham."
storm could only quickly pounce up and punch trevor's shoulder with a smile. "i'm not a child, trevor. you're lucky you're my best friend or i would seriously body slam your ass right now."
"let me change the topic before you throw me across the café," trevor joked. "let's talk about your encounter with damian."
storm rolled her eyes and shook her head. "i knew the guy was mean, but the amount of anger issues he has is just out of this world. you know how i worry about getting to class on time?"
"who doesn't?"
"i was rushing and we basically crashed into each other." storm continued to tell her story. trevor found the whole situation hilarious. usually he would try to confront anyone who disrespected storm, considering she was like a sister to him, but whatever happened yesterday sounded very amusing to him and he just wanted to laugh.
trevor held in a snicker. "was he pissed?" he asked his best friend.
"more like he had the longest stick stuck up his ass and decided to take all of his misery out on me," storm rolled her eyes at the memory. "and when i told him to chill out, he said he didn't have to apologize, so i surprisingly became aware of my words and agreed to 'make sure it didn't happen again'." storm quoted the last part with her two fingers.
"i'm sorry but I'm like internally cracking up. this is just too funny." trevor looked like he was trying to suppress a huge laugh, which storm wasn't really pleased with. she gave him a death stare in return.
he fixed his expression immediately even though he really wanted to laugh. "just try to keep as much distance as you can. six feet maybe?"
"you're not helping, dude."
"hey, at least i'm trying."
FIRST PERIOD SEEMED TO go on forever. biology become so boring that at least half of the class fell asleep at least five times throughout class. no one in there wanted to watch a video about what was inside of their skin.
however, storm would just fiddle with her fingers out of boredom every now and then. to be honest, she thought it was unnecessary to watch the video. she was already passing so there was no point. storm also noticed damian wayne sitting a few rows in front of her. his head rested softly on his hand, as his elbow rested on his desk.
she couldn't read his expression, considering the only thing she could see was his raven black hair.
that asshole still didn't apologize. she said in her head, rolling her eyes. but what did she expect? damian wayne apologizing? that was a huge never. there was no point in even considering the idea. however, she still continued to fiddle with her fingers until class was over. she wasn't gonna make a big deal out of it.
it was the last fifteen minutes of class and all storm wanted to do was get it over with.
"guess who's gonna be completing group projects?" the biology teacher, ms. james sarcastically asked. "and no, you're not choosing your partners, so please don't ask."
are you kidding me?
most of the class groaned in annoyance, not wanting to do a single project. storm didn't really mind doing projects with other people, but when it came to ms. james's class, she wasn't really the best at picking the right partners. she would always get paired with some type of weird, creepy teen.
"sam and mckenzie, jules and frances, kyle and sarah..." ms. james began assigning partners. it seemed like forever until storm heard her name get called.
"storm and damian..."
the two automatically shot a look at each other in shock. storm was basically suppressing the urge to cry at the fact that her biology teacher was torturing her. why did it have to be him? she'd rather work with the weird teens than work with damian. he would probably snap at her for every little thing.
and for damian? oh boy, he was pissed. he thought she was too careless and clumsy to work with him. she would probably fuck up the whole project itself.
"you guys are gonna create a 3D cell, and it must include all of the necessary parts. it doesn't have to be perfect, but it needs to look like a cell. i'm giving you all 2 weeks to get this done, no later than that."
2 weeks with that asshole? lord, take me now.
it was like the two were inseparable.
