f1racingnews, JUST IN! 📢 According to a source located in Monaco (chosen to stay anonymous), Scuderia driver: Charles Leclerc, has just told fans that he "does not regret the Silverstone 2021 incident" regarding former Mercedes Petronas AMG driver: Evie Blanchard.

Could this disrupt the repairing of the duo's friendship? We have been sent multiple pictures of the two out for lunch just yesterday! Why would Charles try and spoil it all? Or is Evangeline just back to sleeping with the whole grid? As reporter (Danica Patrick) once said: "She's a girl! She never belonged in F1 anyway". What do YOU think?!

Evangeline's phone pings over thirty times in one minute as she sits on a rock on Tête de Chien. She sighs softly, allowing the bass of Billie Eilish's new album to pump through her AirPods.

Evie Blanchard watches the city-life of Monaco unfold in the streets below her, life-sized figures now only little ants in her view. That's exactly how Evangeline viewed the bullshitting haters who only craved attention, ants. One flick and they're gone. Or you could just squash them, Evangeline would prefer if it was that much easier.

Charles runs a hand through his tousled hair as he navigates his way up the mountain at dusk. It had been a while since he'd visited his mother's hair salon, but Pascale did not let that stop her from pestering her son to let her cut his hair. His once neatly trimmed hair had turned shaggy and overgrown, but Evangeline liked it that way, so Charles did too.

He comes to a halt as he notices the curly-haired female sitting on a rock.

The rock.

Evie and Charles used to meet on this rock after any large, or minor, inconvenience and just sit with the comfort of each other. Charles frowns as Evangeline shivers slightly, bringing her knees to her chest.

Being in denim shorts and an oversized Mercedes tee was not exactly ideal for the time of day she was out. Evie almost shrieks in fear as arms snake over and around her shoulders.

"Merde, Charles. Tu m'as fait peur!" She gasps as the man rests his chin on her shoulder. "Qu'est-ce que tu fait ici?"
[shit, charles. You scared me! What are you doing here?]

Charles fights back a cheeky grin. "Je te cherchais," he explains, smiling softly in thanks as Evangeline shuffles over and allows him to sit.

"Was it true? Did you mean it?" Evangeline blurts, knowing that the Ferrari driver would understand what she was talking about.

"Non! Do you really think that low of me, Eve?"
[no!]

Evangeline shakes her head, letting out a sigh of relief. "I don't. The post just scared me a little, I guess."

"It wouldn't be a hate post without it getting to your head, even in the slightest..." Charles sighs, referring to the multiple times she had cried over hate comments.

"True."

Charles rubs a comforting hand over Evangeline's back, to which the girl takes as an invite to lay her head on his shoulder. The pair sit in silence for a few minutes, taking in the sun setting over the beautiful country they call home.

"I'm sorry I even started to believe that post, Cha," Evangeline breaks the silence.

Charles frowns at her apology. "Evie, you don't need to apologize. It's valid on your behalf. We haven't spoken in years, you wouldn't know if I'd changed or not."

Evie nearly sobs in the Monagasque's arms at his understanding. "Thank you," she lifts her head, placing a delicate kiss to his cheek. "It's safe to say that the good in you hasn't change."

Charles hums, grateful that the sky was getting darker so that the girl couldn't notice the pink-tint his cheeks had turned. "I'm glad I have you back, Eve."

"Me too, Charlie."
