I know this is short but it's easier to write short chapters because then I can update more! Thanks for 19k reads!

Payton POV
"Payton?" I hear Chaser whisper as I'm laying in bed across the room from him.
"What?" I reply.
"Do you know what happened to Sam? I haven't seen him back here yet, and nobody has heard from him." I hear shuffling and then Chaser sits on the side of my bed. I sigh and sit up.
"No, I don't know, but I haven't seen him back here yet, either," I tell him.
"Do you think he's coming to the event tomorrow in Albany?" Chaser asks.
"I'm not sure. I'd guess probably not since Griffin put that video of what happened on Instagram. I don't think as many people would want to see him now." I shrug. "But that's just my guess."
"Yeah. So, have you talked to Ray recently?" Chaser asks me with a smile.
"No. I'll text her soon, though. I want to talk to her about something."
"About what?" Chaser squeals. I push him, and he gives me a fake pout. "That wasn't nice!"
"Well, be quiet!" I whisper yell at him.
"Alright, alright. What do you want to talk to her about, then?" Chaser asks in a quieter voice.
"Noen came in earlier and said that I should go ahead and ask her out because he said that he knows she likes me back." I smile and am glad that it's mostly dark in here because I start blushing. "I'd probably ask her if she wanted to go do something once we're done with events since we only have two left. What do you think?"
Chaser squeals again. "Oh my gosh! Yes!"
"Shut up!" I bat at his arm again.
"What are you going to do with her?"
"I don't know yet," I reply.
"This is amazing," Chaser sighs as he gets up and walks back over to his bed. He crawls under the covers, so I lay back down in my own bed.
"Do you think she'll say yes?" I whisper to him.
"Definitely if she likes you back. How does Noen even know that Ray likes you?"
"I don't know. He didn't say anything about that," I reply with a sigh. "He seemed pretty sure though."
"Well, that's good. You should ask her in the morning, then. Send her a text and see if she would just want to go do something in a week or so." Chaser rolls over so he is facing me. "Do you have any ideas at all?"
"Not really."
"Well, I guess you have some time. Ask Noen," Chaser says.
"Why do you always suggest asking him?"
"He knew that she likes you. He might know what you should do with her, too." Chaser sighs, then rolls back over. "You guys are going to be the cutest couple ever."
"You barely know her! I don't even know that much about her! Why are you even so sure she'll say yes to a date with me?" I sit back up in bed, and so does he.
"I just have a feeling. Hey, you can get to know her better once you guys go out on a date." Chaser smiles over at me. "I'm sure that she will say yes."
"Well, I'm not!"
"Don't sweat it!" Chaser sighs and falls back against his pillows.
"Fine," I grumble, laying back down. "But I still don't have any ideas on what to do."
"You'll think of something," Chaser mumbles. I look over and realize he's already fallen asleep. I roll back over and fall asleep, too.
