I wake up in the morning to a bird loudly chirping outside of the window. I rub at my eyes and look around the room to gather my surroundings. I reach over and unplug my phone before pulling it over to me. I sigh and see I have a text from a few minutes ago. It's from Payton.

Payton🙈: good morning

Ray💛: morning Payton

Payton🙈: how did you sleep?

Ray💛: actually pretty good. how about you?

Payton🙈: okay. I was pondering this question I had to ask someone all last night, though. Stressed me out more than I would like to admit.

Ray💛: I'm sure if you'll just ask whoever it is whatever question it is you'll be less stressed

Payton🙈: yeah probably

Payton🙈: hey ray?

Ray💛: yes Payton?

Payton🙈: would you go out on a date with me sometime after tour is over?

Payton🙈: don't feel bad if you want to say no because I wouldn't be upset. you don't have to say anything right now.

Ray💛: yes

Payton🙈: for real?

Ray💛: yes

Ray💛: so your event is today?

Payton💝: yeah it's up in Albany so we have to leave soon (but the rest of the guys might just have to be dragged onto the bus)

Ray💛: that sounds like them. how many more events do you have after this?

Payton💝: just one and its up in Savannah in two days

Ray💛: that sounds like a lot of fun

Payton💝: I hope it will be

Ray💛: I'm excited to see you soon

Payton💝: you have no idea how excited I am to get to see you again

Ray💛: aww

Payton💝: it's a lot

Ray💛: double aww

Payton💝: can we FaceTime tonight? I'll be on the bus this morning and afternoon and the event is in the evening but I'll be free from like 6 and after

Ray💛: of course

Payton💝: now I'm even more excited because I'll get to see your face and hear you

Ray💛: eww poor you

Payton💝: Ray you are like actually the most lovely person I have ever met on this planet so stop talking about yourself like that because I think you are amazing

Ray💛: do you write romance novels on the side or something?

Payton💝: I would write you a romance novel but you would probably tell me that's too cheesy

Ray💛: probably but I would appreciate it anyway

Payton💝: then I'll stick to nice text messages until I can tell you in person

Ray💛: I'll look forward to them then

Payton💝: alright

Payton💝: have I mentioned yet that I'm excited for our date?

Ray💛: a few times, yeah. but you don't have to stop now

Payton💝: I won't

Ray💛: I miss you

Payton💝: I miss you more but we have to head down to the bus now so I'll text you again in a few minutes
