Ray POV
Payton pulls back, but not far enough that I can't feel his breath anymore. He smiles and kisses my forehead, then leans his face against mine.
"I love you, Ray," he whispers to me, then brushes his lips up against mine for the second time. I smile and kiss him back. After a few minutes, we both pull away and just stand in the hallway, hugging each other.
"I love you, too, Payton," I whisper against the crook of his neck. I feel the heat rising in his skin as his arms wrap around me tighter. "I'm glad I got to meet you."
"I'm glad I got to meet you, too," he murmurs against my hair. We stand there for a few more minutes until a soft knock comes against the door. I pull my head away from his chest as Noen's head comes through the door.
"I'm sorry. I don't mean to interrupt, but the managers want you back in there," he says quietly to Payton, then looks between the two of us with a soft smile. "I'm happy for the two of you."
"Thanks," I whisper with a smile and a small blush. I pull away from Payton. "I guess I'll see the two of you later."
"Yeah." Payton smiles at me. "Don't leave. I want to talk to you about something."
"Alright." I nod at him.
"Bye, Ray," Noen says. Payton and him leave, going back through the door and into the meet and greet area with the fans. I smile and start back down the hallway.

Payton POV
"Did you guys kiss?" Noen mutters under his breath as we make our way back over to the photo areas. I blush, and he looks back over at me. "Did you ask her to be your girlfriend?"
"Not yet. I'll ask her later," I tell him.
"Good. Do you mind if I tell Chase? He really wants to know." Noen gives me an eager smile, so I agree. He grins and hurries off. As I'm taking a picture with a few fans, I hear a high-pitched scream that I know is from Chase. I laugh and finish the picture.

Ray POV
I make my way down the hall and out of the venue, then start down the sidewalk. I get a text from Payton right as I am about to enter into the small cafe I waited in earlier.

Payton💝: it'll only be about 45 minutes if you want to wait in the hotel lobby. They have really nice chairs in there.

Ray💛: okay I'll see you then

Payton💝: I love you

Ray💛: I love you too

   I smile at my phone and put it back in my pocket for turning around and heading towards the hotel at the other end of the street. I get inside and look around, then decide on a chair over in the corner by itself.

   A little less than an hour later, I hear loud voices entering the lobby. I look up and see the boys entering, Payton following behind and looking around. I catch Chaser's eye and wave to him. He smiles and waves back, then gets Payton's attention. I see Payton look over, then start walking towards me.
   "Hey," I say quietly when he gets over to me. He smiles and sits on the table in front of me so we are at the same height.
    "Hey," Payton replies. He grabs on to both of my hands and holds them with his own. Rubbing the backs of my hands with his thumbs, he smiles again. "I missed you."
   "I missed you, too."
   "Can we talk?" Payton asks quietly, looking up at me. I nod and scoot closer to him. "Okay. Ray, I just want you to know how much I care about you. It goes on so much that I love you. I love you, Ray, and I want to know if you'd be my girlfriend."
   I smile and nod. "Yeah."
   "For real?" Payton beams at me and squeezes my hands. I nod again with a smile. "Thank you!" He pulls me up and hugs me tightly. "I promise I won't disappoint you."
   "I've never doubted that, Payton. You've been one of the nicest people I've ever met," I whisper into his ear.
   "Can I kiss you?" Payton asks with another large smile. I laugh and nod, pulling him up against me and attaching are lips.
   "You're a great kisser, Payton," I mumble against his lips.
   "And you're absolutely lovely, Ray," he whispers back to me with a whisper of a smile going across his lips. "Absolutely lovely."
