Payton🙈: that's her

Ray✨: okay well I'll text you later. Thanks again

Payton🙈: no problem :)

"Hi. Are you Payton's mom?" Ray asks the woman as she gets out of the vehicle.
"Yes. Are you Ray?" she asks gently. Ray nods, then hops off of the jungle gym, pulling her backpack on.
"Thanks for picking me up," Ray says quietly. The woman nods, looking her up and down.
"Are you doing okay?" Ray gives a little shrug because a 'no' wouldn't be a good answer and a 'yes' would be a lie. "Well, I put a blanket and pillow in the backseat if you want to sleep on the way home."
"Thank you. That's very nice of you." Ray wraps her arms around herself.
"Well, lets get going," Payton's mom says. She gets in the driver's seat and Ray gets in the back. She didn't mean to fall asleep, she felt that would be weird, but five minutes into the ride she was out.

Mom❤️: I picked up your friend and she's already asleep

Payton🙈: send me a picture

Mom❤️: no, that's rude

Payton🙈: okay Nevermind

Mom❤️: I'll talk to you later. Stay safe doing whatever you're doing

Payton🙈: will do

"Sweetie, we're here," Payton's mom says, turning around. Ray wakes up quickly, being a light sleeper.
"Oh, okay. Yeah. Thanks," she says. She gets her backpack off the floor of the vehicle and gets out. They enter through the front door.
"The guest room is the second door on the left. There's a bathroom in there and the sheets are clean, so you can sleep or take a shower. I'm going to make some breakfast out here. Do you want some?" she asks.
"No, thank you," Ray says, nodding and heading down the hall and into the guest room. It's nice, bigger than Ray's bedroom, with a large bed in the middle compared to her normal twin size. She takes off her shoes and leaves them by the door, going to the bathroom.
She showers quickly, savoring the warm water, but gets out soon and changes into leggings and a large hoodie.

Ray✨: I just showered and now I'm sitting hbu

Payton🙈: still at Walmart

Ray✨: haven't got kicked out yet?

Payton🙈: Nope
