EXTRA SCENE - SEIRIN'S VICTORY

DAICHI AND TADAHIRO WERE CURRENTLY outside the stadium where Seirin was playing at. Tadahiro was wearing a gray hoodie with a black jacket over it, red jeans, and white sneakers. While Daichi was wearing a black hoodie, faded blue jeans, and black sneakers.

A few onlookers were gasping at Tadahiro's overwhelming height. "People are staring at you." Daichi commented next to him.

"I'm used to it, Dai-chan. They're probably looking at me and think, 'How come he's not playing basketball with that height?' People used to ask me that all the time." Tadahiro replied.

They walked inside the stadium as Daichi followed Tadahiro to the locker room where Seirin was. He opened the door. "Yo, Taiga." Tadahiro greeted, throwing a peace sign as he entered.

"Hiro!" Taiga exclaimed, getting up from the bench to hug his brother. "You came."

"Of course I did, dumbass." Tadahiro stated as he pulled away. "Taiga, everyone, this is Sawamura Daichi. My boyfriend."

"Nice to meet you all." Daichi said as he waved.

Tadahiro spotted a player he didn't recognize. The brunette noticed this and stood up. "I don't believe we met. Kiyoshi Teppei." He introduced himself.

"Kagami Tadahiro. I'm Taiga's older brother." Tadahiro said.

"Brother? Do you play basketball as well?" Kiyoshi asked.

"Hiro-nii's a volleyball player, senpai." Taiga answered before his older brother could. "His team is full of crackheads though."

"Oi, what was that Taiga? Talking bad about my volleyball team are you? You haven't even met them!"

"Ouch! Nii-san don't hit me! I'm only judging based off what you told me."

Daichi snickered. "He's not wrong, Hiro." He said.

They finally left the locker room so that Seirin could finish getting ready for their game. Daichi and Tadahiro found some seats and sat down.

"I forgot to ask, Hiro." Daichi began as Tadahiro looked at him. "Just how strong is Rakuzan?"

"Eh? I actually don't know." Tadahiro replied truthfully. "Apparently, they got a first-year for their captain though."

"A first-year as the captain? Normally that would go to a third or second-year before a first-year." Daichi commented.

"You would think. But I heard he's apart of the Generation of Mircles. This group of basketball prodigies that Taiga is trying to defeat." Tadahiro explained.

"In other words, types of players that you hate."

"I dont necessarily hate them. Kage-chan is basically one." Tadahiro stated. "I worked my ass off to get where I'm at in volleyball, and it just pisses me off that there's some sport players out there who are immediately counted as good because they have overwhelming talents."

"You know how I got many nicknames in the volleyball community, right?" Tadahiro continued as Daichi just nodded. "I mostly don't despise the names I'm given. But some people call me "the ace that didn't become the ace" and that nickname irritates me more than anything."

"It basically shows that I have the power and talent to become an ace, but yet, I didn't become one." Tadahiro finished.

"I've actually been curious, why didn't you become Karasuno's ace when you had the chance?" Daichi asked.

"I didn't think I was good enough to have that role for the team. As the ace, everyone is counting on you to score points." Tadahiro responded. "Besides, Asa-chan is better for that role, don't you think?"

Daichi just nodded in agreement. Tadahiro watched as his younger brother was shoved down to the ground by the opposing team's captain.

"I guess that's the famous Akashi Seijuro I've been hearing about." Tadahiro stated. "Taiga did always have a habit of underestimating his opponents."

The game began as Tadahiro noticed that his brother immediately went into the Zone, overpowering Rakuzan using Meteor Jam. Seirin was doing great until Rakuzan began to fight back.

A couple of quarters later, they finally almost reached the end, with Rakuzan ahead. Tadahiro noticed that every player on Seirin were at their limits and were losing their spirits. That is, until he heard someone from the balcony shout.

"You can do it, Kuroko! Don't give up!"

"Ogiwara-kun..." Kuroko muttered, seeing his friend's smiling face.

Tadahiro sighed as he stood up. "Hiro, what are youβ€”" Daichi began.

"Listen to me, Taiga, because I'm only gonna say this once!" Tadahiro shouted, getting Taiga's attention. "If you quit now, I'll kick your ass! You didn't come this far to give up! You hear me?"

"Nii-san..." Taiga mumbled.

Where Touou was sitting, Aomine scoffed. "Sheesh... I can't bear to watch." He muttered, standing up.

"Dammit, Tetsu! Kagami! You guys won against us, didn't you?" Aomine shouted. "If you can't even defeat Rakuzan, I'll go after your heads!"

"Aomine..." Taiga said, shocked.

"Dai-chan..." Momoi said.

"Let me say the same goes for us! Go and win, Seirin!" Kise yelled from where he was with Kaijo.

"Go, and defeat Akashi... and Rakuzan!" Midorima shouted from where he was standing with Takao and Miyaji.

"You're not going to join in?" Himuro asked the purple haired giant.

"There's no way I would." Murasakibara replied.

The audience started cheering "Seirin!" over and over again.

They finally ended up getting their spirit back as they all turned to face Rakuzan. "It is not fun if it doesn't turn out this way." Akashi stated.

All of Seirin ended up going into the true Zone as the score moved from 96 to 98. They all lined up, waiting for Hyuga to take his shot. He shot the ball into the air.

The ball missed the basket. "Rebound!" Hyuga shouted. Kiyoshi grabbed the ball as time was running out. He ended up passing the ball to Kuroko who caught it.

"Let's go!"

Kuroko aimed to shoot but Akashi was right on him. "Akashi!" Hayama shouted.

"This is the end, Kuroko!" Akashi exclaimed.

"No, not yet." Kuroko responded as he looked up at his former captain. "I'm the shadow."

Kuroko shot the ball up in the air as Taiga dunked the ball into the basket, making the final score 106-105. The referee blew the whistle.

"Time's up! Seirin High..." The referee started to say as confetti appeared. "...wins the Winter Cup!"

All of the bench players and Riko rushed onto the court. Taiga and Kuroko screamed in excitement. "We did it!" They cheered as they piled up onto Taiga.

All of the Winter Cup teams, excluding Yosen and Touou all lined together as Hyuga held the trophy for Seirin and everyone else was behind them.

"The true Zone, huh?" Tadahiro thought. "Is that really something I can achieve?"

Tadahiro and Daichi met up with Seirin after the game. "Good job out there, Taiga. I'm proud of you." Tadahiro said as he slapped his younger brother on the back.

"Thanks, Hiro-nii." Taiga stated.

"Now, what do you say we head to Maji Burger, hmm? We need to celebrate." Tadahiro suggested.

Seirin and Tadahiro were all at Maji Burger. Daichi had gone back to the hotel claiming that they had a long journey ahead of them the next day.

"So, Hiro-nii. When are you and Sawamura leaving?" Taiga questioned.

"We're staying the night in Tokyo and going back to Miyagi in the morning." Tadahiro replied. "Sorry I couldn't stay for long, Taiga. Dai-chan and I still have to prepare for the Spring Inter-High."

"That's right, volleyball season is different from ours." Hyuga commented.

"Perhaps I'll make a trip down to Miyagi for one of your matches, Nii-san." Taiga said. "You'll keep me posted, right?"

"You already know I will."

After they ate, Taiga's teammates headed home since they needed to rest after their game. The two siblings were staring up at the night sky.

It was silent for a moment. "I'm going back to America for a few days." Tadahiro announced as Taiga raised an eyebrow in question.

"What for?"

"You remember Jordan, don't you?" Tadahiro asked as Taiga just nodded, remembering the black haired male his older brother used to play volleyball with during their time in America. "He's on the National Team for America. So I'm gonna train with our old mentor and his team for a few days. Dai-chan and the rest of the third-years are aiming for spring nationals. So I need to get stronger if we're to beat Aoba Johsai."

"The true Zone..." Tadahiro muttered as Taiga looked at him. "How did you open that second door?"

"You'll have to find out on your own, Hiro-nii." Taiga replied.

"You seriously suck." Tadahiro sighed. "Perhaps I'm just not put into a tight position where everything is at risk."

"Though, I truly believe if I can put all of my teammates in the Zone, it would benefit us a lot more." Tadahiro added.

"Does Sawamura know about your trip to America?" Taiga questioned.

"No. No one on my team knows. Only my coach." Tadahiro responded.

"Dumbass, you're still blaming yourself, are you? For your team's lost?"

"If anyone can read me like an open book, it's you." Tadahiro chuckled. "You weren't there, Taiga. No matter what we did, it still wasn't enough."

Tadahiro clenched his fist. "It wasn't enough to stop Oikawa, and you know if we get stronger, Seijoh will get stronger as well. Especially after their lost against Shiratorizawa."

"Sounds like you're doubting your team, Nii-san."

"I'm notβ€”"

"You are." Taiga argued. "I may not know what your team is like personally, but from what you've told me they seem like a strong team with talented players. They'll overcome this."

"It's justβ€”" Tadahiro began. "All of the third-years... Me, Dai-chan, Suga-chan, Asa-chan, and even Kiyo-chan. We came back to the team with a new goal to go to spring nationals. I don't want our decision to stay on the team to be pointless."

"Are you sure it's just that?" Taiga questioned. "Or is there more to the story?"

"I don't want to disappoint Dai-chan again!"

Taiga looked at his brother with shock on his face. "That look on his face when we lost... He may have thought that no one saw it, but I did. He was heartbroken, like he was blaming himself." Tadahiro said.

"He didn't blame Hina-chan and Kage-chan for our defeat. I just knew he thought that he didn't try hard enough as our captain." Tadahiro continued. "During a lost, everyone always feels bad for the team that was defeated. But they never think about what the captain goes through."

"I don't want to open that second door for the team, I want to do it for him as well." Tadahiro finished.

Taiga placed a hand on his older brother's shoulder. "You'll get there, Nii-san. You're extremely passionate about volleyball. Maybe even more than that Ushijima guy you were telling me about." He said. "Just remember, there's no 'I' in team. You were the one who told me that."

"Who would've thought you would give good advice."

"Hey!"

"I'm joking, little tiger." Tadahiro chuckled, ruffling his brother's hair. "I'll see you when you visit Miyagi, Taiga." Tadahiro added, hugging his brother.

"Yeah, good luck with the Spring High."

Tadahiro finally arrived back to the hotel that him and Daichi were staying at. He stared at his boyfriend who was sleeping soundly.

"Dai-chan, Suga-chan, Asa-chan, and I... We first joined the club as first-years when Karasuno was at their lowest. Now, as third-years, we only have one last chance to reform Karasuno's former glory that it had before." Tadahiro thought.

"And that's exactly what we're gonna do."
