A/N: Hello, readers! Like with "Phantom" this takes place after Nishinoya returns, so Daichi, Sugawara, and Tanaka have already been in the gym. Enjoy!

CHAPTER ONE - THE WOLF RETURNS TO ITS PACK

IN MIYAGI, Karasuno had just finished talking with Oikawa, Aoba Johsai's captain and setter. "Don't let him get to you. He likes to razz people like that." Kageyama was stating.

"It's true. We don't have much time left before the Inter-High preliminaries, but he should be coming back soon." Daichi said as everyone looked at him.

"Who's coming back?" Hinata asked.

"The Guardian Deity of Karasuno." Daichi replied. "Now that I think about it, I believe he is gonna be back soon as well."

"Another one?"

"Yes... I think it's about that time for the King of the Crows to return..."

Meanwhile, in Tokyo, a tall red head bursted into Seirin High's gym, looking for someone. This shocked the basketball team who were practicing. "Taiga!" He shouted, colliding into another red head that was his look alike.

"Let me go, Tadahiro!" Taiga complained, trying to get his older brother off.

"How rude, Taiga! I was dropping by your practice to say goodbye before I left! Show some respect!" The older Kagami, known as Tadahiro, smacked the back of his head.

"His stats..." Riko thinks to herself as she scanned him. "They're super high! Even higher than Kagami's!"

"You're leaving today?" Taiga questioned as Tadahiro nodded.

"Uh, who are you?" Hyuga asked.

"I'm Kagami Tadahiro, Taiga's older brother. You can just call me Hiro, though. Most people do." Tadahiro introduced himself.

"What?"

"Kagami has an older brother?!"

"Excuse me, Hiro-kun..." Riko said, walking up to him. "Are you a basketball player?"

"I'm not. Basketball is more Taiga's thing." Tadahiro answered, waving his hand. "I'm a volleyball player."

"Volleyball? That makes sense." Riko thought.

"Anyways, Taiga. I came to say goodbye and take my leave. Dai-chan is probably going crazy without me there." Tadahiro stated.

"If anything, he's probably glad that you're gone." Taiga mumbled, scoffing at the mention of his brother's boyfriend.

"That's just rude. Dai-chan loves me." Tadahiro informed, pulling on Taiga's ear. "I'll come visit and watch you during the Winter Cup! If you're lucky, you might get to meet the love of my life!"

Soon enough, Tadahiro left the gym. "How come you didn't tell us you had an older brother, Kagami?" Izuki asked.

Taiga sighed. "He's annoying and childish as hell." He replied. "I blame his volleyball team."

Tadahiro had arrived back at Karasuno. Classes had ended, so he walked towards the gym, hearing the sound of his teammates and some new voices. "Ah, first-years..." He thinks to himself, entering the gym.

"Dai-chan! I'm back!" Tadahiro exclaimed, jumping onto the male's back and shocking both Hinata and Kageyama. They've never seen someone be affectionate towards the captain before.

"Hiro, get off of me so I can introduce you to the first-years." Daichi said as Tadahiro pouted and jumped off of his back. "May I introduce you to Hinata, Kageyama, Tsukishima, and Yamaguchi."

"This is Kagami Tadahiro, third-year." Daichi introduced the red head as Tadahiro waved in greeting.

"T-T-Tall!" Hinata exclaimed, making Tadahiro raise an eyebrow with confusion. "How tall are you?"

"Huh? I'm 200 cm." Tadahiro blinked in reply, almost making Hinata pass out.

"Welcome back, Kagami-san." Tanaka and Nishinoya greeted.

"Noya-chan!" Tadahiro shouted, almost knocking over Nishinoya due to his height. "How's my favorite shorty been?"

"I told you to stop calling me that, Kagami-san!" Nishinoya exclaimed, trying to push the tall third-year off of him.

"This is the King of the Crows you were talking about?" Tsukishima said. "He's not much."

"I think you're just being salty because he's taller than you." Hinata commented as Tsukishima scoffed.

"He may not look like much now, but when he plays Hiro is surprisingly... quiet and dangerous." Daichi explained.

"He's also one of the top 3 spikers in Japan." Sugawara added. "His power rivals Shiratorizawa's ace."

"Him?!" Kageyama and Hinata shouted in unison as Sugawara nodded.

"People say that if Tadahiro and Ushijima collide in a match, that it'll not only be a battle, but it'll be war." Sugawara explained.

"If he has so much talent, shouldn't he be the ace of the team?" Hinata asked.

"Kagami-san would've been the ace if I remember correctly. Though, the beginning of his second-year he didn't have a lot of confidence that he could protect and lead the team like that. So he gave the job to Asahi-san." Tanaka was the one who replied.

Tadahiro's ears spiked up when he heard Asahi's name. "Oh! That reminds me... Did Asa-chan come back yet?" He asked, walking up to Daichi and Sugawara.

Daichi, Sugawara, and Tanaka flinched, knowing what would come up. "No. He hasn't." Daichi replied.

Tadahiro's face darkened as he scoffed. "That coward!"

"Hiro!"

"I'm gonna fucking knock some sense into that man-bun bastard!"

Tadahiro stormed out of the gym as Daichi sighed to himself. "Asahi, I'll pray for you..." He thinks to himself, knowing how his boyfriend gets when he's angry.

A student rushed into Class 3, looking scared. "Azumane-san! Someone is looking for you, and they look pissed!" The student warned, making Asahi look up with confusion. Though, he found out who it was when he looked behind the student.

"Out of my way, shorty." Tadahiro growled as the student shrieked and rushed back out of the classroom.

"Hmm? Oh, Tadahiro. You're back." Asahi greeted him.

"Shut up! What's this I hear about you quitting volleyball?" Tadahiro shouted angrily.

"So I see you've heard." Asahi said. "I'm not going back to the team."

"Like hell you are! I swear I'll drag you back there if I have too!" Tadahiro yelled.

"I'm not going back to volleyball." Asahi repeated as Tadahiro took a deep breath to try and calm himself down before he did something he would regret.

"Listen, I'm gonna tell you the same thing I told my little brother when his basketball team lost their Inter-High." Tadahiro started to say. "One lost is everybody's lost. One win is everybody's win. We're a team. We're in this together. Being an ace means that you're not fighting on your own, you're fighting with the team. So stop being a selfish bastard and come back to us!"

Asahi stayed silent as Tadahiro scoffed and walked out of his classroom, thinking back to the match where they lost to Date Tech. Tadahiro was the only one whos spikes went past the iron wall of theirs, since he was the tallest player on Karasuno's team.

"Tadahiro!"

Sugawara tossed to Tadahiro as the tall red head spiked it, being able to get passed the blockers that were in his way and scoring another point for Karasuno.

Tadahiro breathed heavily. "I'm quickly running out of stamina. But I have to do this. My spikes are the only ones getting through their wall." He thinks to himself.

Asahi tried to spike the ball but was immediately blocked as the ball headed towards the ground, Nishinoya missing the receive.

"Suga-chan!"

Tadahiro called for a toss as Date Tech's blockers were immediately on his path. Sugawara tossed to him as Tadahiro spiked above their heads.

"Tadahiro, let everyone else handle the spiking. We don't need you passing out." Asahi informed.

"My spikes are the only ones getting passed them, Asa-chan! We have to win this!" Tadahiro shouted. "Suga-chan, give the tosses to me."

Sugawara sighed as he nodded. He kept tossing to Tadahiro, making him score points. However, he realized he could no longer jump as he froze. He saw Asahi's spikes getting blocked once more.

Tadahiro suddenly got dizzy as he took a look at the score bored.

18-25.

Karasuno had lost.

Tadahiro suddenly collapsed as he fell to the ground.

"Hiro!"

"Kagami-san!"

Tadahiro could hear the shouts of his worried boyfriend and his first-year teammates as he completely blacked out.

"Kagami-senpai!" Someone shouted as Tadahiro turned around to see Kageyama and Hinata running towards him.

"Hinata, Kageyama. What can I do for you?" Tadahiro asked.

"You just came back from talking to Asahi, right? Kageyama and I were gonna talk to him." Hinata replied.

"Yes, he won't budge, unfortunately." Tadahiro stated.

"If you don't mind, senpai." Kageyama started off. "Can you tell us exactly what happened and why he won't come back to the team?"

"It's because of our lost to Date Tech last year." Tadahiro started to say. "Asa-chan's spikes always got blocked, and me being the tallest on the team, my spikes were the only ones getting through so I was the only reason why we were able to score."

"So what happened?" Hinata asked.

Kageyama finally remembered something. "It was because you collapsed, right?" He questioned. He remembered the headlines of each sports magazine. That one of top 3 spikers in Japan, Kagami Tadahiro, had collapsed on the court after a match.

Tadahiro nodded. "It ended up taking a toll on my body and I eventually passed out on the court." He said. "I think Asa-chan still beats himself up because of it. He blames himself for not being able to help me when I needed it."

"I don't blame him though, what happened back then was because of my own foolishness." Tadahiro finished, looking at the two first-years. "Perhaps you two can talk with him. He might listen to the new members on the team. Though I wish you luck. That bastard is as stubborn as they get."

Tadahiro walked away from the two first-years as he entered his classroom and sat down in his seat with a huff.

"If those two first-years can't convince Asa-chan. What will the team be without our ace?" Tadahiro thinks to himself.
