    the phone rang, the shrill tone of the noise interrupted the traumatic silence from the group as they each stared at one another, watery eyes meeting desperate eyes- everyone silently begging for answers.
    the dial tone shifted, and a large buzzing noise admitted from the device.
    'h-hello?' silas's voice called out.
    'i.. i had to call you.. i had to use my phone call. g-guys you know i didn't do this.. you need to help me get out of here. i don't.. have an alibi i-' silas's voice broke.
    'please help me. i need you guys. i love you.' the message cut off.
