Chapter Seven
Aidan's P.O.V.
"Baby, are you sure you want to go? I'm not going to force you to come with me if you don't want to," I asked as we got ready to head to the studio for filming. "Baby, I'll be fine. Besides, I'm going to be spending some time with T.J. I trust her," She answered as she packed some of her stuff into her bag. When we got to the studio, Serena and I immediately went to the trailer. I got changed into my Five costume while Serena got her laptop and everything else set up.
"I swear to god, you are so cute in that," She chuckled when I stepped out of the bathroom. "Aw, your so sweet," I blushed, kissing her cheek. Out of all the girls I had ever met or dated, Serena was the kindest, talented, and beautiful girl I have ever laid my eyes upon. And I was determined to protect her from people like her aunt and Cameron. We sat on the couch together, waiting for when I got called to the hair and makeup trailer.
"I'm going to try to talk to Steve later today, see if I can get some time off so I can go on the tour with you," I said, breaking the silence. "But the tour isn't for another month. You can wait a few more weeks to tell him if you want," Serena said, her face twisted into a confused look. "Not with Steve. He's one of those people who like to plan ahead. And he gets irritated very easily when things don't go according to plan,"
"So, he's a perfectionist?" Serena inquired. "In a way, yes," I responded. My phone rested on the coffee table at arm's length. As I continued to look into Serena's eyes, I could see the screen light up for a moment before turning back off. "Who was that?" She asked as I reached over and grabbed it. "Hair and Makeup, I got to go," I said, softly kissing her lips before I walked out and went across the lot.
The people at hair and makeup were very nice, and they liked to know what was going on in our personal lives. Overall, everyone who worked as part of the crew were great people. "Hi, Aidan! Come take a seat!" My stylist, Kimberly, smiled as she dug through her clear makeup bag. When I first started acting, I will admit it felt a little weird having people put makeup on me, but after a while, I grew used to it, and I appreciated all the hard work they put into doing it.
About half an hour later, Kimberly finished with the makeup. She parted my hair to one side, giving it the classic Five look. "There, your all done!" She smiled. I met up with Robert and Justin on set, and we talked for a little while as we read through today's script. "So, how's Serena doing?" Justin asked. "She's doing good, getting very excited for the tour," I answered, not wanting to mention the hate page from a few day ago.
"I can imagine. First tour at 17," Robert inhaled sharply. The whole time I was flipped through the script, remembering some of my mental notes, I kept looking up to see Steve and Gerard were talking to each other, hoping that today would be a day he was in a good mood.
I hope he says yes to letting me have some time off with Serena.

"I'm sorry, Aidan. But I can't have you be off work for that long. I understand your girlfriend's tour is a big deal to you, but we can't film without our Number Five," Steve said when I went to his office later that day. "Is there any way you can make an exception?" I asked, trying not to beg. "Look, I get it. You want to be there for her. And I understand that. But, unfortunately, I can't," Steve said firmly.
This was not how I was expecting it to go. "One week I can handle you being away, but almost two weeks is not possible. But, if it makes you feel a little better, the night she comes back from her tour, you can get off work early so you can see her again. How does that sound?" He offered. It was sad that I wouldn't be able to go on tour with her like we originally planned, but this offer was better than nothing.
"You got a deal," I nodded, holding my hand out to shake his. As I left the office, I let out a shaky breath, wondering how I was going to tell Serena the bad news. I knew that part of her would be disappointed, but she would also understand the situation. But even then, I still wanted someone to be with her on tour, even if it wasn't me. The younger cast wasn't on set all the time, so that gave me the perfect gateway to invite one of them to go with her.
I walked from the studio back to my trailer, my hand wrapped around the handle, and as I was about to go inside, I silently prayed that breaking the news to her would go well, unlike what happened back there. I took a deep breath as I entered the trailer, seeing Serena sitting on the sofa with her guitar in hand, gently strumming a melody.
"Hey, Serena. There's something we need to talk about," I said, closing the door behind me.
