Chapter Twelve

Serena's P.O.V.

When I got out of the bathroom, the look on Aidan's face wasn't the same as it was from before I went in. At first, he looked like his happy self. But now, the look on his face was as cold as ice. If looks could kill, I would be dead in a second. "What are you two talking about?" I asked when I got out of the bathroom and saw them sitting next to each other. "Guy stuff," Aidan answered. I took out a cream soda from my bag and popped the bottle off with an opener before sitting next to the boys.

"Well, I should probably head back to the studio. They'll be mad if I don't make it before they start filming," Cameron said as he smoothed the creases in his costume. "Yeah, you should," Aidan nodded. Cameron flashed us a smile before closing the trailer door. I looked over at Aidan, and the look remained on his face. "What's wrong, Aidan? Did I say something bad?" I asked with uncertainty. His emerald eyes met mine, and the look on his face softened slightly.

"Did Cameron say something when I was out of the room?" He shook his head. "Baby, talk to me. I can't find out what's wrong if you don't tell me," I whispered, grabbing his hand and squeezed it. "I said something to Cam," He whispered. "What did you say?" I asked, piquing my interest. "I told him that he needed to lay off and quit flirting with you," My eyes widened with surprise. I knew for a fact that Cameron wasn't trying to flirt with me. Maybe Aidan was overreacting because he didn't talk much during our conversations.

"You're lying," I shook my head. "I'm serious. I told him that he needed to stop coming in here whenever he pleased while I'm not here," He assured. This time, a small amount of anger rose inside me. "Why did you say that?" I asked. "Serena, I know he seems like a good guy, but I'm-" "Worried he's going to steal me away? Yeah, you told me earlier," I sighed. It felt like Aidan was being way too overprotective. Being slightly overprotective was okay in my book, but him purposely interfering with my friendship with Cameron went over the line.

"I told you before, Aidan. Even if he flirted with me, I still wouldn't fall for him. Why can you just trust me?" I asked, feeling my voice get a little higher. "I-" Aidan took a deep breath before throwing his head back and letting it out. "Serena, I do trust you. But, I don't trust him, and I've known the guy for about three years. I'm not an idiot. I know what flirting looks like," he explained calmly. He did have a point there. He had been in a few relationships before me, whereas he was the first guy I have ever been with.

"Please, Aidan. Cameron is the one person besides You, Vanessa, and Ethan who I can connect to about what happened to me. Please give him a chance," I pleaded. Aidan looked at me with sorrow. "I don't know," He said, looking down at the ground. "Look, if you want me to, I'll stop being friends with him," I offered, trying to shake away the thought of having to go through with it. "No, you don't have to do that. But I don't want him coming over to my trailer every day acting like he owns the place. It makes me feel like a stranger,"

I sat down next to him and gently cupped his face in my hands, making him meet my eyes. "I'm sorry," he said, his bottom lip slightly quivering. "Me too," I nodded before crashing my lips onto his. That was the first time we've ever had an argument Sure, we would get into little debates like what we should have for dinner, but those were small and stupid.

I kept kissing him, hoping to make the memories of this argument go away. "Do you really trust me?" I asked when we pulled apart. A smile etched onto his face, and I felt him run a gentle hand through my hair and down to my cheek. "Of course, I do. If I can't trust you, who can I trust?" He answered. I smiled and kissed him once more before we laid down on the couch and snuggled. He wrapped his veiny arms around my waist, slightly pulling me closer. "Is this okay?" he asked.

He's such a gentleman. "Yeah, better than okay," I answered, wanting to enjoy this moment with the boy I fell in love with all those months ago.
