"I still can't believe this is happening," Aidan smiled as he continued to read the comments. "I know, it's so exciting, yet I'm nervous as well," I admitted, brushing a piece of my hair behind me. Singing at the Blue Moon Theater was a dream of mine, aside from singing with Aidan. And now those two dreams were going to come true. "Don't be nervous. You're going to do great," he smiled. My cheeks began to turn a few shades of pink, and I couldn't stop looking down at the ground every time Aidan and I locked eyes.

We were sitting at the bar, eating our food and scrolling through the comments, and I was responding to Vanessa's texts, and she couldn't stop talking about the gig.

Vanessa: Girl, you are so lucky!

Serena: Thanks, I'm excited but also nervous 😭

Vanessa: Don't be nervous! You're going to do amazing onstage. I can already see it!

Serena: It's just, I've never performed in front of an audience before. Only in front of my parents. It's just a huge leap, you know?

Vanessa: I know, but like I said, you'll do great!

Serena: Thanks, girl. You always know how to cheer me up! 💖😊

Over the next week, everyone at school was begging us for free concert tickets, but as much as I wanted to give them some, we unfortunately couldn't. The tickets weren't cheap, but they weren't expensive either. But, I did manage to convince Aidan and his manager to get Ethan and Vanessa free tickets, and they were extremely grateful. After school, Aidan and I would most of our time in the garage practicing for the concert. The both of us decided to perform a few songs each, and then we would do our duets of Miss You and Why Don't I.

When I was at Vanessa's house, I worked on a song that Aidan knew nothing about. It was a song that was subtly talking about him and how he had changed my life. Nobody besides Vanessa and her mom knew about it, and I couldn't wait to surprise Aidan and his fans with it. One day, I was sitting on my bed and softly singing when I got a phone call from Aidan.

Aidan: Hey, Serena!

Serena: Hey, what's up?

Aidan: I was just wondering if you could come over? We need to talk.

Serena: Is something wrong?

Aidan: No, could you just come over?

Serena: Yeah, I'll be there in a bit.

Aidan: Okay, thanks!

"I have no idea what he wants me to talk about," I answered Vanessa's question while we were driving to Aidan's house. "I'm sure it's nothing bad. Maybe he wants to tell you his feelings for you," Vanessa teased. "Oh my god, Vanessa," I sighed into my hands trying to bury my head deeper into them. Soon, we arrived at Aidan's house, and when he invited me inside, I rushed in and started babbling.

"Did I do something bad? I hope I didn't because I really don't want to upset you!" Aidan let out a small chuckle, and placed both hands on my shoulders, and softly telling me to calm down. I let out a few shaking breaths, and I suddenly started to feel much better. "What did you want to talk to me about?" I asked. He walked over to the couch, where two large white boxes rested on the sofa cushions. "This is why I called you here," he answered, handing me the boxes.

I took them from his hands and set them on the bar, and opened the first box. I was greeted with lots of white tissue paper. "There's more than tissue paper in there," Aidan said, placing a clenched hand over his mouth. I pulled back the tissue paper, and my eyes went wide when I saw what was inside. A pair of black faux leather boots. "Aidan, I don't know what to say!" I smiled, placing the boots on the counter and hugging him.

"Thank you," I muffled. "Your welcome. But, that's not all," he smiled back. I opened the second box and pulled apart the tissue paper to find a beautiful outfit that matched the boots.

My eyes started to fill with happy tears, and I looked over at Aidan, who was smiling like crazy. "Do you like it?" he asked. I tried to say yes, but the words wouldn't come out, so I just nodded my head like mad. "I'm glad you love it. You could wear the outfit to the show if you want," I stared at the outfit in awe, and I saw the image of me wearing that outfit while singing on stage, the smile becoming a huge grin.

"I'd love to wear this!" I answered. I went to the bathroom to try on the outfit, and I could hardly recognize myself in it when I put it on. Aidan did a great job picking it out. When I stepped out of the bathroom to show him, his eyes immediately grew wide as he continued to stare. "You look amazing," he barely whispered. I walked towards him, trying to break into the boots.
