When Athena Slater said 'I do' to Nick Goode in 1984, she didn't think ten years later she'd be killing him.

Athena let out an unsteady breath as the bells jangled, signalling that someone else had joined them.

Nick walked towards the hanging tree, to see Ziggy Berman and Athena Slater stood there.

Nick stepped closer, mainly looking at Athena.

"Ziggy." Nick nodded, as Ziggy nodded back "Nick."

"Athena, what are you doing here?" Nick asked as he turned to his wife.

"Getting into trouble." Athena replied with a smirk, she pulled down the black jacket she had on as Nick raised a brow.

"Seems like I should be with you constantly. You keep getting into trouble when I'm not around." Nick told her and Athena was getting a weird sense of deja vu.

"It seems like you might have to." Athena told him, as she wore a sweet smile.

"Anyway, tag you're  it." Athena sang, as she grabbed hold of the rope. She pulled down on it, causing the blood to fall. Ziggy ran away quickly as Athena was slowly behind her. Athena was still ill so didn't have that much energy to run quickly. She felt someone grab hold of her and pull her back causing her to scream.

"Deena! Get them away from us!" Nick screamed as he pointed his gun towards one of the killers. He had his other around Athena, who was trying her best to get free.

"Nick, are you seriously using me as bait?!" Athena screamed as she tried to get free.

"I'm sorry. I thought I was protecting you." He whispered in her ear, "Grab her!" Nick shouted as he pushed Athena into Ziggy who grabbed her.

"Bi-polar much!" Athena screamed, as one of the killers pushed her to the ground.

"Help!" Athena screamed as she tried to push the milkman off her. Ziggy tried her best to pull the milkman off her, but she was too weak.

"Deena and Valerie's blood is on, Athena! Save her, please!" Nick begged as the skull mask killed attempted to stab him. Valerie ran forwards, grabbing a knife on the floor, cutting her hand open. She wasn't going to let Athena Slater die.

Once this happened, all the killers turned to Valerie instead. Nick took this as his chance to run away, as Athena stood up, chasing after him as Deena ran after Nick too.

"Go! Go and get him!" Josh screamed as Valerie was being chased by the skull mask killer. 

Martin came to her rescue, knocking the killer out with a chair. Valerie ran after Deena, Athena and Nick.

Valerie shut the door behind her as emergency sirens went off.

The knife was still in her hand as she watched a blood trail lead up to a vent. It being opened by Athena and Deena who beckoned the girl to come join them.

Athena lead the way as she jumped down first, and she continued to crawl with Deena and Valerie behind her.

"Nick!" Deena yelled, as Athena began walking through the cave with Deena and Valerie behind her.

"Stay behind me." She told the girls as she slowly began walking through the cave.

The three turned round as they heard grunting behind them. They still continued walking through the cave.

"Nick!" Deena and Valerie yelled, they continued to walk their voices echoing off the caves walls.

"Nick!" Deena and Valerie yelled as they could hear heavy breathing.

"Solomon forged this place with nothing but words and stone! Awakening this power from the depths of the Earth!" An unfamiliar voice shouted as Athena rolled her eyes as they continued to try and find the person now speaking.

The trio continued walking, as more flies began buzzing round them. "He extended his hand to the darkness for my family, for me. 300 years it's live, grown. We've cultivated it." The person continued to speaking as the trio found a massive blob surrounded by flies in the centre of the cave.

"I think I might be sick." Athena mumbled, and the woman leaned over to throw up on the floor.

"This is disgusting." Valerie whispered as she stared at the blob.

"We've sacrificed for it! And you can think you two can stop it?" The person asked as they assumed it was only Valerie and Athena there.

"No, we think us three can stop it." Athena corrected as she tied her hair back, she quickly wiped the sides of her mouth with her sleeve.

"Up,up,down,down,..left, right." Deena mumbled to herself before Sam pushed her to the ground.

Valerie let out a small scream before she began trying to help Deena.

Athena walked ahead, knowing that the two would be fine.

Valerie was trying to tear Sam off of Deena as she choked her. Sam became distracted as she remembered Deena, with that, Valerie pushed her head towards the ground.

Deena gasped for air as Athena tried to find Nick.

"Nick," she softly called and he turned round, noticing the knife in her hand.

"Athena, darling-" Nick tried to speak before Athena shushed him.

"Before, I kill you. I want to know how you chose Tommy." Athena demanded as she pointed the knife towards him, backing him into a wall.

"I-" Nick began before Athena pointed the knife to his throat.

"Tell me!" She screamed as tears fell down her face.

"It wasn't me, I swear." Nick began as his brother, Will stepped out of the shadows.

"I'll tell you exactly how I chose him." Will smirked and Athena let out a loud gasp. They had got it wrong, it was Will all along.

1978, Camp Nightwing

Will Goode watched as Athena Slater ran away back to camp with Ziggy Berman. His younger brother by a year was following them, causing him to roll his eyes.

"Will, your the oldest here. Hell, You could even be a counsellor if you wanted to, and you're here hanging sixteen year olds." Kurt scolded as Will rolled his eyes.

"It won't happen again." Will lied and Kurt nodded, leaving Will alone as Sheila and the two girls had already been let go.

Will hated Athena Slater with a burning passion, just because the girl had managed to beat his team in Archery a couple years before. He didn't hate her just for that, she was of course a shadysider who kept hanging round with his younger brother. She was also annoying, she always knew how to piss him off. Another thing about Athena that he hated was how she always pranked him and Sheila. Will Goode didn't know how to prank and when he did, he always took it way too far.

Nick was lucky, their dad hadn't dropped a massive deal on his plate compared to what Will had found out. Their father had told Will that their family for generations had been sacrificing people from Shadyside, to keep things going good for their family.

Will didn't mind the part of getting to get rid of his enemies in Shadyside, he just hated the amount of pressure that came with it. He also didn't need Athena Slater dragging down Nick Goode.

He didn't want his family's reputation to go down the drain, so ever since the first week of camp, he persuaded Sheila to go after her. He could tell the girl had a thing for him so he used it against his advantage.

Before Sheila even started messing with Athena she blurted out a secret from the previous year of camp.
Sheila had caught Athena Slater kissing another girl at camp last year. Will had jumped at joy at the news, knowing that most of the sunnyvalers at the camp would start making complaints about Athena for liking girls.

Will had also noticed throughout the first week of camp how close Athena was with one of the counsellors called Tommy. When he found out that Athena and Tommy were siblings (using one of the register lists he found in the mess hall) and how much they cared for each other. Will immediately went to the cave where people were sacrificed, dooming Tommy Slater to become Shadyside's next serial killer, just to hurt Athena. All because of his hatred towards Athena Slater.
