Valerie Fier was sat on her roof, a yellow tank top underneath her flannel. She was staring up at the moon like her and Heather used to.
They always sat on the roof together, drinking whatever alcohol they could get their hands on. Joking about life together. Loving each other. Planning out their life together.
Heather and Valerie always used to share a cupcake, smudging the icing on each other's noses. Licking the icing off each other's nose leading to them making out on the roof underneath the moon.
Now Valerie was lay under the moon. Alone. She stared up into the sky, a single tear slipping down her cheek.
She quickly wiped it away as she continued to stare at the moon. Maybe Heather was near the moon, she always wanted to go the moon.
"I miss you." Valerie whispered, after a few seconds of silence Valerie let out a loud laugh into the darkness. People were probably looking out the windows, shaking their heads tutting to themselves saying 'Oh it's that Fier again.'.
"I'm talking to the damn moon." She chuckled, as she looked down at the ring Heather had made her for her sixteenth birthday. She raised the ring to her lips, planting a kiss on it as she continued
to look up the moon.
"Let me guess you're talking to the damn moon again." Heather's voice spoke in her ear as Valerie turned to her left to see her fourteen year old self and Heather sat together on the roof.
"Well, I find it calming." Valerie told her and Heather sent her a smile. She had only seen Valerie in the daylight but she looked just as stunning in the moonlight.
"You look gorgeous." Heather whispered, causing Valerie to turn her head towards her and brush furiously.
"I- Well- You're so pretty too, and gorgeous. Oh- and I-" Valerie stuttered as Heather let out a laugh. Valerie smiled at the way Heather threw back her head a little when she laughed. She also showed most of her perfect teeth when she did.
"I can't believe that you can't speak to me, yet you can sing in-front of an auditorium." Heather sighed, as Valerie continued to stare at her.
"You gave me courage to do so." Valerie told her and Heather met her eyes.
"That's a really nice thing to say." Heather blushed and Valerie smiled at her.
"Well, I find you to be a very nice person in general and to be around." She complimented and Heather continued to blush. She was now fully red in the face.
"I- No one has ever complimented me so much. It feels weird." Heather frowned and Valerie frowned inside for making Heather do so.
"Hey, don't frown. I wanna see more of your pretty smile." Valerie charmed, causing Heather to let out another laugh.
A comfortable silence settled between the two, until they both turned towards each other.
"I like you." The two girls blurred out at once, only to be both met with silence afterwards. The two then burst out laughing, as they both moved towards each other.
"I-" They both began, only to laugh again.
"Okay, I'll go first." Heather decided and Valerie just nodded.
"Would you take the great honour of being my girlfriend? I know we've not known each for long, but I really like the way you smile and act. You've got such a lovely voice and I-" Heather complimented and was about to continue before Valerie cut her off with a kiss.
Once the two pulled apart, Valerie opened her mouth to speak.
"I'm so so sorry. I should've asked if you wanted to kiss me." Valerie apologised and Heather let out a small chuckle.
"You won't ever have to ask if you be my girlfriend." Heather smirked as she wiggled her brows. Valerie smirked with her and let out a sigh.
"Well, in that case. I guess I'll have to be your girlfriend." Valerie smiled as the memory stopped playing in Valerie's head.
Valerie let out a loud sigh as the memory stopped. She missed Heather more than anything and wished she done more to protect her when she had to. "I'll join you some day, my love." Valerie promised and with that she climbed off the roof. Heading inside, only for the phone to start ringing.
Valerie quickly walked over to the phone, taking it off the wall.
"Hello," She spoke as she could hear loud growls in the background. "Who is this?"
"It's me." Deena spoke, and Valerie raised a brow.
"What's going on? I can hear someone growling in the background. Did you get a cat or something? Cause I think you need to take it to the vets." She explained and Deena attempted to interrupt but kept silence as Valerie kept speaking.
"No! It's- Its Sam! She's been possessed by the witch! Again! Come to my house, quick." Deena told her before the line went dead. Valerie stood in one place as she slowly put back the phone on the wall.
Simon and Kate dying was for nothing.
Valerie quickly stopped thinking about them and grabbed her car keys, not bothering to say goodbye to her mother who was passed out on the couch from another tiring day at work.
Valerie rushed towards her pink car, jumping in and putting the keys in the ignition. She began speeding towards Deena's house and stopped outside as Josh rushed outside.
"We're gonna go to C.Berman's house. Can you drive us?" Josh asked and Valerie quickly nodded. She headed inside seeing Sam wrapped up in one of Deena's phones on the kitchen floor.
A few minutes later, Deena and Valerie had placed Sam in the trunk of the pink car. Valerie was now speeding off to C.Berman's hoping that this would all end soon.
Once they were there, Valerie and Deena hopped out the car. Josh closely followed behind as the two girls began banging on the front door.
"I feel like we might scare her to death." Valerie whispered to Deena, who shrugged.
"I just want answers so we can get Sam back." Deena told her, as she turned on the flashlight she got out of her pocket. Deena headed around the back of the house checking each window, shining the flashlight in.
Valerie shook her head as she heard shouting inside the house, soon C.Berman came outside wanting to see what they were doing at her home.
Valerie opened the trunk as Deena instructed her too, showing Sam growling and thrashing against the cord of the telephone she was wrapped in.
"No!" The Berman shouted as she turned to Deena.
"No,no,no! You need to leave! Right now! You have no idea what you are doing!" C.Berman shouted as she stepped away from the car, Deena grabbed her arm stopping her from leaving
"Wait! Yeah, exactly. You are the only person who knows what you we're dealing with." Deena began before C.Berman cut her off.
"Actually Athena Slater knows too. Go to her." C.Berman directed as she continued walking before Valerie ran in front of her.
"I know who Athena is but her number wasn't in the phone book, please." Valerie pleaded as Deena joined her side.
"I don't want that thing near me. Get that car and 'it' off my property." C.Berman continued as Valerie sighed. This was not going to work.
"Her name is Sam. You could have watched us dead on the six O'clock news, but you didn't. You called us back." Deena told her, trying to remain calm.
"I can't help you with this!" C.Berman sighed, getting fed up of repeating herself.
"You are out last chance! The witch-" Deena began before C.Berman cut her off again. "No, I'm sorry!"
Deena and Valerie put their hands out in-front of her stopping her from entering her home.
"My girlfriend is possessed by her and tied up in a trunk, but you..you saw her and survived. What was different? Maybe something happened to you, something that can help us stop her." Deena went on, and C.Berman continued to shake her head.
"There's not! You can't stop her." C.Berman shouted, "Run, as far as you can, fast as you can! That is your only chance!"
"Look, I can't just run! Look, Sam..I can't let her die." Deena told the woman, as she stopped. "I won't! I love her! Please!"
"Just keep her away from Major Tom." The woman demanded as she finally caved in and Josh and Valerie shared a look before they carried Sam inside.
Valerie, Josh and Deena were now inside the woman's home tying Sam her to a radiator as Sam growled at them.
"Jesus, she's like a damn dog." Valerie grunted as she tied the last rope to the radiator.
The trio entered C.Berman's living room which was full of alarm clocks.
"It's completely fine." Josh assured as Sam continued to growl. Valerie offered a reassuring smile too, as she winced at the noises Sam was making.
"She's tied up in the bathroom, so she, like, totally can't leave now, we're cool." Josh assured as Sam roared. "Yep, cool."
"She's turning into a lion." Valerie mumbled and Deena shot her a look.
C.Berman sat down in her armchair as she nodded at the floor.
"Take a seat." She told them as the clocks around the them continued to tick.
"In Shadyside, the past is never really past." The woman declared as she opened up a book. She stopped at a picture of two young teens.
"This was July..12th. The summer of 1978. The first day of camp. A week later, my sister was dead." She explained as she threw a picture of the teens on the floor. Valerie leaned closer to the picture, seeing the Camp NightWing sign, as the clocks around the room began to tick more. She felt as in she was being taken back in time.
END OF ACT I
Authors note:
The second part of ' Insane!' Will sadly be delayed due to me not having a face claim for one of my oc's. I know some people won't mind me publishing it without an face claim for that character but personally I want to have a face claim for her, as she is a key character in the next part. Please don't forgot to comment and vote! I really appreciate comments to help me improve my work and to keep me writing. Thanks for reading and getting me to number two on one of my hasthtags also! Have a great day/night!
