Mary Fier, Agnes Rosier and Katherine Slater were all now stood at a tree, waiting for Sarah Fier and Hannah Miller to be hung.

"I told her to run." Mary sobbed as Agnes put her arm round her.

"You told her to run, it isn't your fault." Katherine told her, and Mary just nodded.

"The penalty for practicing witchcraft is death by hanging!" Elijah shouted and Mary winced. She didn't want to watch her older sister be hung.

"Hang them!" Many of the Villagers shouted

"We have to stop this." Mary whispered but Agnes shook her head.

"I want to stop this, but we can't. We'll be hung too." Agnes told her and Mary continued to sob.

"Confess! Confess your sins or burn in eternal hell. Confess!" Elijah shouted as Mary moved Agnes' arm off her and pushed through the crowd.

"Mary!" Agnes and Katherine shouted, catching Sarah's attention.

"Confess!" Elijah and Mad Thomas shouted as Agnes and Katherine pushed past Thomas to reach Mary, who was now stood right at the front of the crowd.

"I confess." Sarah whispered and Mary shook her head.

"No. No." Mary whispered as Hannah shook her head in denial.

"I confess!" Sarah shouted as Mary let out a shout.

"She didn't do it! She's lying!" Mary shouted as Agnes grabbed her and pulled into a hug.

"I walked with the Devil! I lay with him! I bewitched the good pastor!" Sarah confessed as Katherine shook her head, she didn't believe a word of what Sarah was saying.

"Let me go, Agnes!" Mary shouted, as she tried to get out of the older girls grip.

"No, you're going to get yourself killed." Agnes whispered as Mary managed to get out of her grip and run to the front again.

"And I bewitched...Hannah Miller. I clouded her mind. I clouded her mind." Sarah whispered as she sent a sad smile towards her sister.

"Sarah, please!" Mary shouted as Mad Thomas grabbed hold of her.

"It was me. It was me! It was only me. It was always me. Hannah's innocent." Sarah continued as Mad Thomas covered Mary's mouth as she screamed.

"No!" Hannah screamed as she was let go and shoved into her mother.

Solomon stepped up to Sarah as Mad Thomas removed his hand from Mary's mouth.

"Calm down, Mary." Agnes told her as she took her away from Thomas.

"I can't! My sister's going to be hung!" She shouted and Agnes sighed.

Solomon began to wrap chains around Sarah as the girl narrowed her eyes at him.

"The truth will come out. Maybe not today..and maybe not tomorrow, but it will." Sarah promised as Solomon ignored her.

"The truth shall be your curse. It will follow you for eternity. I will shadow you forever. I will show them what you've done. I will never..let you go." Sarah told him as she was chained up.

"Hang her!" The townspeople continued to chant.

Solomon wrapped the rope round her neck, throwing the rope over a branch as Mary screamed.
"She didn't do it! Let her go! Sarah, please!"

Two men pulled a rope, sending Sarah upwards as she choked for air. Soon, Sarah's body fell to the floor as Mary let out a scream, falling to the ground also.

"Sarah!" Mary sobbed, as Katherine hugged the crying girl.
