Valerie had headed back to her car to place all her shopping bags away as the mall began closing. She had stayed in the mall for the rest of the day, entertaining Heather and making her day more tolerable.
Valerie walked back into the mall and headed straight to the book store.
"Attention, shoppers. The shadyside Mall is now closed." Phil said over to speakers. Phil hated his job as much as Valerie hated sunnysiders.
"Hey, love." Valerie said just as Heather switched off the lights in the store, causing the teen to spin round and stop her dancing to the music over the speakers.
"Hey, darling." She smiled just as the phone started ringing. Heather sighed and went over to the phone to answer it.
"Hello, this is B. Dalton's. We're closed." Heather spoke in a bored tone as Valerie sat on the counter. She had never been in the mall at night before.
"Ok, since when do you work late?" Ryan asked over the phone, his voice could be heard as Valerie rested her head on Heather's shoulder.
"Since my mom used her last pay check on scratch tickets. Instead of the gas bill." Heather replied without missing a beat, causing Valerie to look up at her. She admired Heather for wanting to help pay the bills.
Heather wore a confused expression as the line went dead. "Hello?" She asked, "Ryan? Hello?"
"He's probably messing with you." Valerie told her as Heather slammed down the phone.
"Well let's go find out." Heather smirked, as she extended her hand to her girlfriend, who took it as she jumped down off the counter.
"Hello, Ryan!" Heather sang as they exited the bookstore. The two looked around at the dimly lit mall sharing a look of confusion. A door opened causing the two teens to spin around, only to see Martin the janitor.
"Night." He told them and Valerie flashed a smile at him.
"Night, Martin!" She shouted back causing Heather to smile at her girlfriends kindness towards people. Valerie was always saying hello to everyone.
"All alone now!" Spoke a person with a weird voice, causing Heather and Valerie to jump as a sex doll was shoved in their faces.
"Jesus Christ!" Heather exclaimed as she held her stomach as Valerie burst out laughing.
"Ryan! What the hell, dude!" Heather shouted as she tried to calm herself down.
"Forgive me." Ryan spoke as he handed the two a coke.
"Thanks, dude." Valerie thanked him with a sweet smile.
"I do need a ride home tonight." Heather told him and Valerie frowned.
"That's what she said." Ryan told her, as he began touching the doll.
"You are disgusting." Heather told him, shaking her head.
"Hey! The only reason I stayed so long was to give you a ride home, and to make out with you in the backseat of my car before I drop you off." Valerie told her, and Heather let out a chuckle.
"You can still do that, babe." Heather told her as she pressed a kiss on her forehead.
"So, what's the name of the new doll?" Valerie asked as she took a sip of her coke.
"Jasmine." Ryan told her and Valerie smiled.
"I like it. I think Jasmine here will be one of our bridesmaids." Valerie told Heather and Heather let out a groan.
"Glad you like it, cause I thought 'Big tits' was kind of deflating her ego." Ryan told them and Heather rolled her eyes. The couple began walking away from Ryan.
"What?" Ryan asked as he turned back round causing Valerie to look at him with confusion.
"We didn't say anything, Weirdo." Heather told him, shaking her head at him, with that Heather went into the store to close it up.
"I'm gonna go bring the car round." Valerie told Heather as the teen shut the shutters.
"Alright, I love you." Heather told her as she pulled Valerie towards her. Heather pressed a warm kiss on her lips causing Valerie to smirk.
"We shall continue this later." Valerie assured her as her girlfriend smirked back at her.
"I'm looking forward to it." Heather smiled as Valerie walked away. She soon left the mall and went to the other side of the car park to bring her car round. She stopped the car outside the Mall entrance and climbed out. It had been about ten minutes since she had left Heather.
She went inside the mall, slowly walking inside looking around for Ryan and Heather.
"Heather?! I've brought the car round! I know you like to keep me waiting but come on!" Valerie shouted just as Heather began running towards her. Blood was all over her clothes causing Valerie's eyes to widen.
"Run!" Heather screamed, she grabbed hold of Valerie's hand just as a person in a skull mask began running toward them.
"What is that?!" Valerie shouted as the person in the skull mask continued chasing them.
Valerie let out a scream as she felt her other arm being tugged backwards. She let go of Heather's hand as the Skeleton stabbed Valerie. Valerie let out a gasp, and quickly pulled away from the killer and pushed them to the ground. She grabbed Heather's hand and began sprinting away as she used her other hand to try and stop the bleeding on her stomach.
Heather let out a loud scream as her hand was grabbed and she was stabbed in behind causing her to fall the ground.
"HELP!" She screamed as Valerie span round, she reached for one of the chairs that was scattered across the floor and whacked the killer over the head with the chair. It stopped the killer trying to crawl on top of Heather. They slowly turned their head to face Valerie, and lifted up their arm without the blade and pushed her to the ground. Valerie let out a scream as she watched the killer pull Heather back as she tried to crawl away.
Valerie reached out towards the killer and grabbed their foot trying to pull them away.
"Stop it! Leave her alone!" She screamed, as tears ran down her face. She didn't want her true love to die. The killer turned round and stabbed her in the shoulder causing her to let out a scream and fall backwards. She winced in pain but lunged forwards to try and drag the killer of Heather as they stabbed her in straight through the Stomach.
"NO!" Valerie screamed as Heather struggled against the Killer's grip and pulled of their mask, revealing the killer. It was Ryan.
"Ryan?" Heather asked as she stared into his eyes that used to be so full of life, that were now lifeless.
"Please! It's me. It's me." Heather begged as she coughed up blood. Ryan turned towards Valerie who was about to whack him over the head with a broken chair leg, only to pull the knife out of Heather causing her to scream and stab Valerie in the leg.
Valerie staggered backwards, falling to the floor beside Heather. Valerie began searching for Heather's hand and soon found it giving it a squeeze.
Just as Heather squeezed back a gunshot rang out and Valerie screamed as Ryan's lifeless body fell over Heather's arm.
"I love you." Heather whispered as she turned her head towards Valerie, who opened her mouth to repeat the words only to see Heather cough up blood. Her head titled the side, and Valerie let out a scream as she sat up. Heather's lifeless hand was still gripping hers as she watched Nick Goode limp towards her.
"Heather. No." She cried, as she looked into her girlfriend's lifeless eyes.
"We need to get you to an ambulance." Nick Goode told her, and Valerie shook her head.
"I can't leave her! I could've done more." She sobbed as Nick Goode tried to move her away from the dead bodies.
"Heather, you said you'd never leave me! Please, wake up." Valerie begged as she shook Heather with her other hand. She was still holding onto Heather's hand not wanting to let go.
Two ambulance workers rushed into the mall with a stretcher, soon the two ambulance workers grabbed hold of the girl pulling her onto the stretcher as she screamed in protest. Her and Heather's hands were ripped apart causing Valerie to scream.
Nick Goode, shook his head as the girl continued screaming. Another Shadyside massacre.
Authors Note
Ok so a lot of you may see Valerie as a 'wimp' for not doing more. But if I was here I'd run for it or hide, and tbh Cindy did stand still while Nurse Lane attacked Tommy so..
Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter!
Please vote and comment it means a-lot to me when you do :)
