Wooyoung was ecstatic.

Earlier this morning he had received a notice from his manager stating that he would be attending this year's MAMA Awards. He had then spent the next half an hour re-reading the text message to ensure he wasn't imagining things. Once he was 100% confident that this was legit, he squealed like a teenage girl who just saw their crush and immediately went to look at the lineup for this year's awards.

Wooyoung couldn't deny it. He had a soft spot for idols. It was once his dream to become an idol and perform onstage for thousands of fans and others alike. He had spent his last years of school studying practical dance at Hanlim Arts High School, holding onto the hope that he'd be able to make it into a company and debut. However, things weren't as simple as it seemed.

He was a good dancer, sure, but his singing lacked. He was constantly turned away from companies due to his poor vocal skills and not even his dancing could compensate for it. His self-esteem dimmed and after a year of auditioning and getting rejected, he finally realised that he was not suitable to be an idol. He was down in the dumps for a while, unsure of what to do with his life.

Yeosang was his lifesaver. Being his best friend for so many years, he pulled Wooyoung up off his feet and landed him a spot as a model in the agency he was in. It happened so quickly that he was completely overwhelmed and shocked the first time Yeosang brought him to the company. But Wooyoung was determined to take this opportunity given to him and worked hard as a model. He wanted to give himself a promising future and also make Yeosang proud of what he had done for him years before.

Wooyoung understood what the idols had gone through to debut and he admired every single one of them for continuing to follow their dream. He'd sometimes spend his free time watching performances of some kpop groups who made it to his YouTube. So having the chance to see these amazing performances in person was a dream come true.

'Time couldn't go any faster,' Wooyoung thought as he readied himself for a shoot. He definitely couldn't wait for the MAMA Awards to happen.
