running too fast, without watching where they stepped their foot on, a branch caught his ankle, making him stumble forward, head almost hitting the muddy ground. a strong grip held him up, a shout filled with fear and concern, as the other 6 boys looked back to see what happened: "run. I got jeongin!"

a loud roar was heard behind them, as chan held the humping boy, his muscular arms around the younger's waist. the elder looked behind them as if checking for danger, gulping before turning to him.

"i need you to jump on my back, so we can escape," chan panted, the young black-haired boy nodding, before jumping on his back. chan maintained his posture, as jeongin almost slipped behind him. a little painful grunt was heard, when the older made jeongins's legs wrap around his waist.

"you okay?" he asked, worried when jeongin bid the pain and shook his head.

"just go," he answered quietly, voice filled with pain, chan nodding, before running off with the others.

the creature was closer to them now; they could hear its loud heavy steps and its panting. chan ran as fast as he could, branches and leaves sighing under the pressure for every step he took.

"you can't outrun me, half-bloods," a deep strange voice resounded, making him shiver.

"hyu- hyung, keep running," jeongin whispered, his grip around chan's neck tightening when he noticed that chan had slowed down. It didn't reach the boy. His mind was filled with thoughts, drowning every sound around him.

chan had fully stopped. he dropped jeongin, who fell onto the ruins' stone ground with a loud thump. the boys in front of them stopped too, before felix ran to jeongin, checking his ankle. the 6 others made a circle around the 2 of them, back to back, pulling their weapon, protecting them. with a steady pose, they all exchanged looks, before chan took a deep breath.

"show yourself," he said with a clear tone, another laughter shooting through the forest, the trees shaking more than before. the boys gulped when they saw a tall silhouette appear in front of them, its figure towering over their heads.
