Written: Christmas of 2020

After a long day at work, you were looking forward to going home, gettin in your cozy pajamas, and watching Christmas movies with your fiancé, Gerard. But before that, you slipped on ice and twisted your ankle, then it started snowing on the way home, and despite your efforts to stay on the road, you ended up in the ditch. After a while, someone found you, and offered you a ride home. When you got there, you happily went inside, and immediately smelled cookies.
"Y/N!" Gerard exclaimed, putting up a few ornaments on the tree.
"Hey, G." You Said.
He came over and gave you a kiss on the cheek. "How was today?"
"Eh...it could've been better." You Said.
"Well...maybe singing will help." He said.
You smiled. "Singing what?"
"Well, Christmas songs. Duh." He said, laughing his adorable laugh, before starting to sing. "I don't want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need...Join me!"
You laughed, then sang along. "I don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree. I just want you for my own, more than you could ever know. Make my wish come true, all I want for Christmas is you."
You kissed him. "I love you, Gerard."
"I love you, too." He replied. "Imma go check on the cookies."
He walked away, singing as he made his way into the kitchen. You chuckled at his adorableness. What did you do to deserve him?
"Baby, It's Christmas all over again.." he continued singing, coming back into the room. He held his hands behind his back.
"I have something for you." He Said. "But you have to say please."
You laughed. "Please?"
"Very good." He said, then handed you a cookie shaped like a heart.
"Aww, Thank you."
You took a bite of the cookie, and smiled at him.
"What did I do to deserve you?"
"I was about to say the same about you." He said, hugging you from behind. "I love you more than anything on earth, Y/N."
You kissed him on the cheek again. "Merry Christmas, G."
"Merry Christmas."
