Written: Christmas of 2020

It was a cold snowy day, perfect for sitting down with a cup of hot chocolate and a book. So you decided that that was what you were going to do. You finally got everything ready and got yourself all situated in your chair and started to read. You looked up when you heard your boyfriend, Josh, walk into the room. He was all bundled up and he was holding a sled.
"Hi, (y/n)!" He said happily.
"No." you said.
"But I haven't even asked you anything yet." He said.
"Yeah, but I know what your about ask so NO." You said firmly.
"Pleeeaasse! We'll have a lot of fun." He whined.
"No!" You Said. "Oh, come on, we never do anything fun together." He said. And then he made a pouty face and gave you those dang puppy eyes that you just can't say no to. You waited and thought about it for a second, then groaned loudly. "Ugh, Fine! I'll go!" You Said, sounding very annoyed.
"Yayy!" He Said and smiled widely. He came and hugged you from behind and kissed you on the cheek. You couldn't help but smile at how cute and childish he could be. You went and put on your coat, hat and gloves and headed out. You had a perfect hill in your yard, great for sledding. So you and Josh both climbed up it together and once you reached the top, he set the sled down on the snow.
"You go first." He said, still grinning like a fool.
"No, it's okay. You can go first." You Said.
"Why don't you wanna go first?" He asked.
"Well......once when I was a little kid I was sledding and I hit a tree and ever since then, I've hated sledding." You Said, remembering your traumatic experience. There was silence for a little while, followed by laughter from your boyfriend. you shot him a glare that made him stop immediately.
"You'll be fine, just get in and I'll push you." He said, walking over to the sled expecting you to get in.
"No, you go first." You argued.
"No, you go." He said. You just argued back and forth like this for awhile, until You both finally stopped and there was a long silence .
"...or we could just.... go at the same time." Josh Said. You both looked at each other and shrugged and then FINALLY GOT INTO THE FREAKING SLED. Josh sat on the back half of the sled, and you sat on the front. Then Josh moved the sled forward and you went down the hill, smiling and laughing together. And you and Josh did this all day until it got dark. You had way more fun than you thought you would, and you never hit a tree. 🛷
