well, well, well. for those of you that have been here a while, you'll know that this book has always been MY book. my baby, my child, my absolute pride and joy. so much so, that it has been through many, many revisions over the years. it is currently in a fresh rewrite (because i am a problematic perfectionist), so you may or may not have read it. but, it has been through probably more covers than the rest of my books combined, so let's take a jump down memory lane...

CURRENT COVER: okay, so starting off strong with the current cover. i do very much love this one, and it shows, because i've actually kept it for a solid six months! go me! this cover does have a lot of the classic features that run through all my ll covers — the cherubs in the background, the roses, etc. i do love these pictures of jack and abbey together though, i think they really add to the shakespearean, romantic feel.

see, this cover i have such mixed feelings about. i really love the aesthetic of it, and this is my favourite calmont manip BY FAR. but, the quality of this cover is just so lacking idk, it bugs me. i'm not sure why to be honest, it must just be bad luck with the pictures i used. but the second i go to actually use it, it just looks blurry and gross :(

right, so this cover i actually do love, and it was the cover i used for quite a long time, so you may recognise her. the only thing i really dislike about this cover is that it fits in less with the ll aesthetic — the colour scheme, lack of marvel, etc. it comes across a bit darker to me. however, i do love the overall vibes of it and including the necklace on annie was my favourite touch <3

OLD OLD COVERS... alright, so i thought that we might as well go right right back, to some of the oldest ll covers i have. again, some of them you og readers may recognise. i don't hate any of these covers, and the third one certainly encapsulates the aesthetic to infinity, but i feel i've improved a lot since then. the middle cover is actually the first ever ll cover, so she's a dinosaur, and it's so funny because she's pretty, but couldn't be further from the aesthetic if she tried !!

sidenote: how these fancy covers contrast with the dark and miserable grunginess of my other fics always amuses me.
