NEVER ONCE had she felt remorse nor regret,
in fact she found joy,
in seeing the prince's head.
"in memory of him," she'd said,
she'd lied.
it seemed she'd found new wings and flied.
THE YEARS PASSED SO QUICKLY, yet she never changed.
she'd long ago tossed away her chains,
and it had left her wicked gain.
and indeed, her stepmother had been vain,
but snow white had no doubt the most tyrannical reign.
AND IN THIS REIGN, love was no more,
it was nothing but enchanting reins, pulled back and forth.
and despite her rather uncharming allure,
her words could be true.
love was a trap she'd once fallen into.
that was why her heart was not to be found,
kept inside a chest,
deep inside the ground.
it was that which kept her mind at rest,
as she ruled with her iron fist.
