• Jay - When you get forced to go on a date with your enemy
"This is our turf!"
"When dinosaurs resurrect from the dead!"
Sunghoon and Heeseung growled at each other, they had big desires to pull each other's head off right now.
"Wait till boss gets back here!" Sunghoon replied, taking a step closer to the older.
"You call Jay boss? What is he, some sort of mafia?" Heeseung laughs, oh how hilarious was Sunghoon's relationship with Jay.
"W-well I bet you call Y/n queen." Sunghoon teased.
"Y/n? Queen? Oh please, she's like a sister to me!" Heeseung chuckles, wanting to punch Sunghoon's annoying face so bad.
Until he felt an arm on his shoulder.
"Awh, I love you too brother."
Y/n peeks her head at Heeseung, Sunghoon taking a step back and glaring at her.
"Get off Jay hyung's turf."
"Hoon honey, this is a bench. In a garden. What kind of bad boy makes a bench, IN A GARDEN, his hiding place out of all locations in the entire universe?" Y/n fought back, placing her hands in her hips as Sunghoon feels defeated.
"Why? Can't a bad boy like me enjoy some, pretty flowers?" A flower appears in Y/n's sight, her head turning to see Jay smirking.
"Hm, I don't know, does it say there on your 'I'm superior' book, huh Park?" Y/n fakes a smile, as Jay fake smiles at her too, walking backwards to where he sits on the bench.
A little background check, Y/n and Park Jongseong, or more known as Jay. Enemies. Since age of 9.
They hated each other's guts to death.
All back in elementary when Y/n wanted to be a florist. Jay was allergic to pollen. But Y/n didn't know that. She was the cause of Jay staying in the hospital for 1 whole week, and ever since then Jay hated her.
Y/n actually liked Jay back then. And she didn't know why Jay started disliking her. But she grew annoying of it and just...hated him back.
"Aren't you allergic to pollen?" Heeseung raised an eyebrow, making Jay smirk and throw the 'flower' at them.
"It's fake, Lee."
"Just like your bad boy persona." Y/n mumbled, making Heeseung snort.
"Don't talk to hyung like that!" Sunghoon talked back, making Y/n and Heeseung laugh more.
"Awh look, someone's defending you." Y/n laughed, Jay's figure walking up to her.
Jay had enough of her bullying. They always thought they were more superior than everyone, but to each other, the fight just kept going on and on.
"You sure are bold." Jay smirks, making Y/n chuckle.
"Good job on noticing the obvious. Although, I can't say the same for you." Y/n says, dusting her nails off as she smiles at him. How disgusting.
"I am bold, you just don't know it."
"Okay if you are, go stick your ugly face in those pollens." Y/n fights back, bringing her face closer to his. Heeseung and Sunghoon pulled them away from each other before they could do any harm.
"Never."
"Okay, guess your not bo-"
"If I show you I'm bold..." Jay thinks for a bit, a lightbulb appearing on his head after seconds.
"Then you have to be my date at the end of year prom."
Y/n gasps, and chokes, laughing our loud.
"Yeah uh, nice joke Park. There's no way I'm going to the dance with you. YOU DON'T EVEN LIKE ME!"
"Why? Scared I might actually show you I'm bold?"
Y/n blushes a little, biting her lip as she glances at Heeseung who was behind her.
"N-no. I know you'll never succeed anyways.
So bring it on, pollen boy."
-
Ding
"Coming!"
Heeseung reaches for his front door's hinge, opening it to see a panicking Y/n.
"Let me in."
"Why-"
"Thank you."
Heeseung raises an eyebrow, chuckling at his best friend's weirdness.
Y/n sits down on Heeseung's couch, her leg not stopping from tapping itself.
"Okay, why do you look nervous and why is it scaring me?" Heeseung sits down with a glass of water, Y/n's hand grabbing the glass and drinking it like it was her last beverage.
"I'm freaking out." Y/n nods, looking at Heeseung seriously.
"Over?"
Y/n puts a letter on Heeseung's coffee table, grabbing a pillow to tightly hug on.
Heeseung raises an eyebrow and opens it, shocked and laughing at the letter.
"3 pm tomorrow, I'll pick you up from your house, get ready for our date, from bold Jay?!" Heeseung laughs, getting interrupted by a flying pillow hitting his mouth.
"It's not funny, Hee!"
"Why are you so nervous? Because you'll be his date to the prom now?"
"N-no it's just that...you know how I used to feel about him.." Y/n crouches, lying down on Heeseung's couch.
"But that shouldn't be a problem though. Unless...do you still like him?"
Y/n bites her lip, looking anywhere but Heeseung's gaze.
"Maybe, a little bit, I don't know.." Y/n mumbles, making Heeseung chuckle and push the letter back on Y/n's side of the table.
"So, you get to go on a date with your childhood crush, AND be his prom date? That's a score, girl!"
"No, it's not! I-i mean...I'm suppose to hate him, after all the mean things he's done to me. And now he just wants me to be his date?! It doesn't make any sense, Hee.."
"Well, why do you think he asked you out to be his date?" Y/n lifts her head up at Heeseung, seeing Heeseung tapping the side of his head with his finger.
"You're so slow, Y/nnie."
-
Y/n bites her lip and runs around to her room, checking herself for the nth time this afternoon.
Whilst fixing her hair, a horn honked, and an engine going off. Y/n peeked at her window, seeing someone with a motorcycle remove their helmet..
It was Jay.
Y/n panicked but got herself together, heading to the door with her bag to see Jay in front of her.
"How do I look?" Jay teases, heading to the motorcycle.
"Eh, you've looked better." Y/n blushes, as Jay hands her a helmet. She's never been on a motorcycle before. She always watched movies where guys take girls for a ride with their motorcycles, and she can't believe it's happening to her right now.
Y/n gets on the seat behind as Jay follows and sits in front of her. Jay looked at the mirror and saw her hands holding on the sides. Jay scoffed from her cuteness, grabbing both her hands and wrapping it around his waist.
"Hold tight."
-
The engine stopped running as Y/n took her helmet off, looking around to see a whole green of grass, trees, pretty flowers, a clear lake, it was so beautiful.
"Wow.." She mumbled, her eyes wandering as Jay leans back on the seat of the vehicle.
"You like it?" He asks, her head turning to his smiling figure.
She wanted to admit how beautiful the sight in front of her was.
But then again, she 'hates' him.
"It's nice I guess.." Y/n covers her happiness up, jogging to the bushes filled with flowers. How pretty were they? More than her herself.
But wait, 'Isn't Jay allergic to pollen?' Y/n began to think.
Why would he bring her to a place with so much hazard to himself? Out of all the places to go on a date to, he picked a location that could cause him another week in the hospital.
"Y-yah..Aren't you allergic to pollen?" Y/n stutters, kinda taken by surprise as she turns around to see a whole picnic set up.
"Why? Are you gonna start caring for me now?" Y/n puffs her cheeks from embarrassment, sitting down and having heart eyes for the delicious looking food.
"Don't worry, I only get affected when I go really near them." Jay smiles, bringing out a box of strawberries.
Strawberries. Y/n's favorite fruit.
Jay knew that, ever since they met when they were 7.
"How...do you still remember I like these?" Y/n mumbles, opening it to smell the sweet fresh aroma.
"How can I not?" Jay smiles back as a reply, making Y/n slightly blush.
Jay was a tough, rude and bad boy kind of guy. But at the moment, he didn't seem like it.
And she didn't know why.
"Eat up." Jay smiles at her, as Y/n's eyes glistened at the strawberries, chewing it slowly to savor it's delicious flavor.
"Why aren't you eating?" Y/n asks out of nowhere. She was enjoying her food, whilst the one who brought all of it and asked her out hasn't ate a single meal.
"Nothing, just enjoying you eat happily." His warm smile appeared, making the bottom of her stomach have butterflies. Was he trying to make her go crazy?
"I-I uh..here." Y/n picks up a strawberry and leans in to give it to Jay.
"You brought it, at least give it a try."
Jay blushes and smiles, leaning in but not to grab the strawberry, but to eat it right from her hand.
Y/n widened her hand and blushed, gulping big as her cheeks steamed red.
"Did the uh, strawberries take effect that's why your whole face is red now?" Jay smirks, as her blushing face puffed, her hands holding her cheeks.
"You saw nothing." Y/n glares, making him chuckle for the nth time.
He really enjoyed seeing her this happy.
"You wanna go take a walk?"
"Uh, sure."
The 2 stood up and dusted the little leaves off their laps, walking beside each other as they go down a grassy hill to see the lake.
Y/n gasps and rushes down the hill, her reflection being seen as to the water was that clear.
"How did you find this amazing place?" Y/n happily asked.
"So you do like it?" Jay asks, nudging her shoulder.
"Hm..y-yeah.." Y/n giggles, fixing her dress before sitting down on the grass as Jay follows beside her.
"My family and I went here for my mom and dad's anniversary when I was little. That was also the day we found out I'm allergic to pollen." Y/n's mouth turns to an o, seeing the pretty scenery.
"But allergies aside..this place seems pretty nice."
"It is, It really is.." Y/n mumbled, admiring how beautiful it was, she could never get over it.
"Hey, I wanna ask something." Y/n says.
"Go for it."
"This seems kinda weird but...why do you love going to the garden in school?"
"Ah...
Because...
It reminds me of you."
Y/n got catched off guard, surprised by Jay's reply. Of her? How? Why? Didn't he hate her?
"I know you like flowers. So I go there a lot. That's why I also brought you here. You know, I don't actually hate you. Well, I did for like a year when I was 10 but..I forgave you, although that costed me to almost hyperventilate from the allergy."
Y/n chuckled from Jay's last sentence, looking into his gaze.
Maybe..
Maybe Jay isn't so bad.
Well, he wasn't bad at all.
She was just tricked into disliking him, because well he did too. But now knowing that he doesn't actually hate her, gave her relief.
"But...why did you ask me to be your prom date?"
Jay raises an eyebrow and looks back at her tilting head, laughing at her cuteness.
"You're so slow-"
"Okay, why does everyone say that?!"
"Cause you are!"
Y/n's cheeks became redder than before from embarrassment, feeling his warm hand on top of hers.
"I know you like me too, Y/n."
"Pfft- wait, what?" Y/n's face alerted, looking at Jay.
Too? TOO?? WHAT DOES HE MEAN BY TOO???
"Jesus, you're like the slowest person I've ever met." Jay laughs, holding her cold hands on his.
"I'm sorry, for everything mean I've done to you. I promise, to repeat those horrible actions, ever again. I swear to this oath. Not only as a good person,
But as a boyfriend."
-
"And the prom king and queen is...
Park Jongseong and Y/f/l/n."
Jay grabbed Y/n's wrist on his, dragging her to the stage as the teacher hands them the crown.
Y/n smiles and grabs the crown for the king, Jay's warm smile appearing as she places it on top of his head as he does the same.
"Kiss!" Heeseung and Sunghoon shouted from the crowd, making the two laugh.
Jay pulls Y/n by her waist, both their glistening eyes staring at each other like there's no tomorrow.
"I love you
My pretty little flower."
