The days had been beautiful, each day was a new fairytale for Jungkook, as her prince charming was nothing but a sweet, doting, husband, a best friend to her feelings and a supporter of her emotions. Her days start with him waking up on the same bed and end at night with his deep soothing voice echoing in her ears as he talks about his day at work. Jungkook wouldn't move an inch from the bed until Taenyung woke up and sang a song after seeing her all bare beauty. Jungkook would blush and hide her flushed face in his chest. Jungkook thanked her fate which changed her life with a sudden turn, that felt like she was over the Moon.
Jungkook stood in front of the big aquarium, her wide, doe eyes sparkling with pure wonder as she watched the tiny fish gliding back and forth, their colourful tails flickering like little rainbows. She tilted her head slightly, biting her lip in excitement, entranced by their graceful movements. She was so wrapped up in admiring them that the sudden "tick" sound from the kettle made her jump a little.
Blinking, she turned to the counter and tiptoed over to the kettle. With her lips pressed into a tiny, concentrated pout, she carefully poured the hot water and made a steaming cup of coffee for Taehyung. She hummed a soft tune under her breath as she prepared it, her cheeks slightly pink at the thought of bringing him his coffee.
Once everything was perfectly arranged on the tray, she took a deep breath, her face lighting up with a shy smile. Carefully lifting the tray, she hugged it close to her chest as she took small, careful steps toward the office, wanting so much to make him happy with this little gesture. The thought made her smile to herself, her heart fluttering with excitement as she imagined his reaction.
She softly knocked on the door, waiting for his permission, and then she heard a cold, shrilling, "Enter," Jungkook shivered at the cold voice and with a soft, barely audible click she opened the door. She peeped inside and saw a concentrated, dashing Taehyung sitting on his huge chair, with a frame of specs hanging on the bridge of his nose, Taehyung looked up at the visitor, his eyes softened as he gazed at his small wifey, standing with a coffee tray in her, cheeks as always, deep red.
Taehyung flashed his cheerful boxy smile and said, "Come in, wifey," Jungkook smiled coyly and walked toward him with meek steps, she could feel his intense gaze on her, making her more shy. She quickly put the coffee mug on the glass table and slid it toward Taehyung who was looking at her so patiently, his face was resting on his palm and admiring her beauty that was all his.
He took the mug and took a sip, a frown took over his exposed forehead, he hmmed at the taste and looked at her with an elated expression, making Jungkook widely, "Hm~ So good, perfect just like my wife," he teased her, Jungkook ducked her head down. Then Taehyung stood from his chair and walked toward his small baby wifey, took her small hand in his hand and guided at toward his chair and made her sit there. "Actually, I wanted to talk to you about something,"
Jungkook sat in the comfortable chair, letting her sink into its comfort. Then her hands clutched together, and she nodded to him to continue. "As you and I know that you dropped out after high school, I was wondering, do you want to continue?"
Jungkook froze, her breath catching as Taehyung's words sank in. A rush of emotions swelled up, and before she could stop it, her eyes filled with tears. One by one, they slipped down her cheeks like a gentle stream, her small shoulders shaking with each soft hiccup.
Taehyung's eyes widened in surprise at her reaction. Without a second thought, he stood up and wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. Jungkook let out a small, muffled sob, burying her face into his chest as she clung tightly to him, her tiny fingers clutching the fabric of his shirt.
He stroked her hair gently, speaking to her in a soft, soothing voice. "It's okay, my little one, let it all out," he whispered, his touch warm and comforting.
Jungkook sniffled, her cries quiet and delicate, like a kitten's, as she held onto him for comfort. She tried to calm herself, but each time she took a breath, another small sob escaped. Taehyung only hugged her tighter, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of her head. After a while, Jungkook lifted her tear-streaked face, her wide, watery eyes meeting his. Taehyung smiled softly, brushing a tear away with his thumb.
Jungkook sniffled, wiping her tears with the back of her hand as she looked up at him with a mixture of gratitude and surprise. "I... I didn't think anyone would ask me that," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "I always thought... maybe it was not in my fate."
Taehyung's expression softened as he listened intently. "What do you mean, Jungkook?"
"I thought maybe I was just made for housework only," she admitted, her voice trembling slightly. "I liked school very much, but it was not appropriate, that's what everyone taught me. I like to read and write, but everything crumbled, and I was stopped from going to school. It's not like I didn't ask anyone in the house to convince Father. I begged each and every member to fight for me, but no one really liked me, so I adjusted myself to this and things didn't really bother me."
Taehyung frowned, feeling a surge of protectiveness for her. "That's not fair, Jungkook. You deserve so much more than that. Just because others didn't see your worth doesn't mean you don't have it. You're smart and capable, and I want you to chase your dreams, whatever they may be."
Jungkook blinked up at him, her eyes shimmering with a mix of hope and uncertainty. "But what if I fail? What if I'm not good enough?"
Taehyung shook his head firmly. "Failure is part of learning. Everyone has to start somewhere, and I'll be right here to help you through it. You're not alone anymore. I want to see you grow and succeed, and I believe you can do it."
She felt a warmth blossom in her chest at his words, and for the first time in a long while, she felt a glimmer of hope. "You really think I can?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Absolutely," Taehyung replied, his gaze steady and sincere. "You're capable of amazing things. Let's take it one step at a time together. You don't have to carry this burden alone."
Jungkook's heart swelled at his encouragement. "Thank you, I want to continue my studies" He smiled, a proud and warm expression lighting up his face. "That's my girl. I know you can do it."
"Okay, tell me your interest, then I will help to bend in that stream," Taehyung said, gently guiding Jungkook back to her chair before he took a seat in front of her. Jungkook looked at him, her heart fluttering slightly, and said, "I wanted to become a lawyer."
Taehyung's eyes widened comically, and he excitedly shook her hands. "Welcome to the party, Partner!"
A frown settled on Jungkook's forehead as she tilted her head cutely, trying to understand his excitement. Taehyung's chest swelled with pride as he continued, "Your husband knows a well-known lawyer!"
Jungkook's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Tell me more about him, please!"
Taehyung smirked, leaning back in his chair, enjoying the moment. "Hmmm... He is very famous, filthy rich, and he recently married a girl who is really beautiful. Her eyes are big and filled with sparkle, but she's also very timid. She's quite small, especially compared to me; she only comes up to my chest."
Jungkook listened intently, her expression a mix of confusion and interest. "Wait... is he a real person or someone you know?"
Taehyung chuckled, leaning forward, and with a playful glint in his eye, said, "Oh, he's definitely a real person. Very successful, you know. He works hard and has a lot of connections. Everyone respects him."
Jungkook furrowed her brow, trying to make sense of his words. "But who is he?"
Taehyung leaned closer, lowering his voice as if sharing a secret. "Let's just say he's a bit of a dreamer, just like you. He believes in justice and uses his creativity in his work. He often inspires others, especially his beautiful wife."
As Taehyung described the lawyer, Jungkook's eyes widened in realization. She looked at him with an accused gaze, Taehyung laughed loudly and said, "Yes, little one, It's me," Jungkook smiled widely as an excited glint filled her eyes, her lips stretched beautifully into a smile that reached her eyes, the corner of eyes wrinkling as she giggled. Taehyung's heart beat crazily as he stared at her, automatically a silly whipped smile curled on his lips too, both Husband and Wife were staring at each other with a smile pasted on their lips.
"Are you really a lawyer? I mean, do you have that black dress-like gown and that black ribbon?" Jungkook asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she quickly grabbed his hand.
Taehyung chuckled, nodding along with her enthusiasm. "Yes, I do, exactly like that. And I even have the white collar bands, too."
Jungkook's excitement grew, and she squeezed his hand. "Can I see it? I've never seen a real lawyer dressed up before." Taehyung smirked, leaned toward her and said, "I see, my wife had not touched my closet yet, my dress is in my closet, wanna see?"
Jungkook's eyes widened in surprise, and she bit her lip, nodding shyly. "Really? You have it here?" she asked, her excitement bubbling up.
Taehyung's smirk grew, and he leaned closer to her, his face inches away. "Yes, it's right there in my closet, just waiting to impress you. So... would you like a sneak peek?"
Jungkook nodded eagerly, barely able to contain her excitement. "Yes, please!" she whispered. Taehyung stood from the chair and tugged on their connected hand, urging her to move with him. Jungkook quickly stood up from a chair, already missing the comfortable chair, but shrugged the thought when Taehyung excitedly dragged her outside and made their way toward their shared bedroom.
Once inside their room, Jungkook's curiosity grew as she watched Taehyung stride over to the closet. He let go of her hand and opened the closet door, revealing his neatly arranged clothes. Jungkook's eyes darted around, and she spotted the distinct black lawyer's gown hanging toward the back, standing out among his other clothes.
Taehyung reached in, pulled out the gown, and held it up with a small smile. "Here it is," he said, watching her expression closely.
Jungkook's face lit up as she gazed at the gown, her eyes wide with wonder. "You really do have it," she whispered, almost as if she couldn't believe it. "Can I... can I touch it?"
He chuckled softly and handed it to her. "Of course," he said, amused by her fascination.
She ran her fingers over the fabric, her face glowing with admiration. "It's so... official-looking. I can picture you standing in court, so confident and strong," she murmured, her tone filled with awe.
Taehyung smiled warmly at her words. "One day, if you like, I could bring you to see a real courtroom. But for now... how about I try it on?"
Jungkook's face broke into an eager smile as she nodded, stepping back to give him space. As he slipped into the gown, she watched with admiration, her eyes sparkling. When he finally turned to face her, dressed in the gown with a serious expression, she couldn't hold back a small gasp.
Taehyung stood there, fully dressed in his lawyer's gown, Jungkook felt a new kind of pride bloom in her chest. She took slow, steady steps toward him, her gaze locked on him with admiration and something deeper. Her usually shy expression softened into one of pure confidence.
She raised her hand and gently placed it against his chest, feeling the firm fabric of the gown beneath her palm. It was almost like she was grounding herself in the moment, silently telling herself that this incredible, accomplished man was truly her husband.
Taehyung noticed the change in her demeanour, the quiet confidence that radiated from her as she stood close to him. Her touch was soft but assured, and it stirred something within him.
"You look... like my dreams," she said softly, her voice carrying wonder and pride.
Taehyung looked down at her, his heart swelling as he saw the awe in her eyes. He reached up, placing his hand over hers on his chest. "And this confident look suits you," he whispered. "I think I'm liking this side of my wife."
Jungkook's lips curled into a small, proud smile, and for the first time, she didn't feel the need to look away. She met his gaze with steady eyes, her hand still resting against his chest, and Taehyung felt his heartbeat pick up, captivated by this new depth in her.
"Let's find a college for you, wifey!!"
