BACKSTORY : started in 2019 by making rigged ass book covers for my cringe fanfics, then in 2020 I moved to making covers for other people for awhile and after that i have no idea how graphic editing turned into a hobby and how i got obsessed with aesthetic accounts and wanted mine to look like that and now here we are. in these years I've explored a lot of designs and would say I'm still an unprofessional and immature when it comes to being labelled as a graphic designer. most of the stuff i make is inspired by edits I see on pinterest and rarely I can execute a design I've in my mind onto my screen. there's a lot to learn for me but I'm here to help you peeps with I've learned so far !!!

ANYTHING ELSE TO SAY? less is more! more the merrier only applies to money. lastly, and most importantly! you gotta be bad at it first to be good at it! so it's completely fine if you're a beginner and your designs don't turn out well!

i absolutely LOVEEEEEE canva like it has great fonts and elements. best place to start with not so complicated graphics.

PROS, copyright free graphics, elements, top notch quality, variety of fonts, eye opening effects, for free? loml and smexy over all.
CONS, can't think of any honestly except that it's not as flexible as the other two apps (eraser tool and blending I mean)

i know what y'all thinking 'ITS SO FUCKING CONFUSING!!!!!' yeah I get pookie i totally do. I've ignored this app in my early years of designing cuz I tried once then never again but here we are now! I've grasped the basics like the back of my hand (or I think I have but most prolly I'm still shit at it). this app is a BLESSING I SAY. the layers make a huge difference cuz I don't have to worry about touching the wrong object. everything's inbuilt except you install the fonts but yeah it's like a free (there are in app purchases but they we can live without spending money) and more simpler (lower I'd say) version of Adobe Illustrator (not really cuz Adobe is veryyyyy super duper advanced but you get it right) i only have one complaint from this app and that is the dimensions and postions option. unlike other two apps, this lil guy doesn't really help in showing the position like I can't make my object be perfectly in middle/centre which makes it very hard to make icons and logos. vector graphics ig

PROS, to die for app, cuz it's free, you can draw (if you an artist), variety of brushes, do whatever you can colour palette, alpha lock got your back, explore your inner artist, bless the creator of this app and a lot to explore.
CONS, hmmmmmm complicated but smash cuz we getting all this for free? in this economy? smash fr

if you wanna know more about vector and raster graphics then Google is the best place to learn cuz I'm still new to these terms lol

such a sweetheart to provide us with gorgeous filters (until the last update). okay so go on pinterest, search polarr filter codes, download them, import them then booomm just remember to give credits cuz plagiarism is illicit. anyways, psd or filter always makes the edit pop and look more attractive.

PROS, would've added a love letter to the creator but the new update had me write a death threat. nevermind, psd and filters are the life savers for adding that last minute YEP THATS IT- ness. don't steal other's filters tho
CONS, the👏 new👏 update 👏PLEASEEEE don't tell me I'm the only one stuck with a polarr that won't let me import anymore filters, makes me watch ad everytime I have to save (pro is that i can batch save now lol), won't let me edit a filter and is overall a whiney bitch and a pain in the ass.

every beginner's bestie, PicsArt ! quite frankly, a very simpler alternative to ibis paint x. plus!! the new update provides layers :3

PROS, it has pngs, overlays and fx.
CONS, bad shitty quality of pngs, not copyrighted and limited (useless) fonts.

best app to ever exist, not talking about editing but just in general if this app were a person I'd be marrying them. best place to find inspirations THOOOOO most aren't copyrighted so be careful downloading the pngs and ask the creator before using.

i don't use it much but basically this app gives your pics a high quality. definitely worth it if your output is in low resolution.

just like REMINI I don't use a seperate app for removing the background. PicsArt does it fine most of the time.

and the same goes for a font app, canva and ibispaint x do the job better.

ALSOOOO I'm currently learning CorelDraw and Adobe Photoshop cuz my parents wanted me to learn computer based skills (graphic designing is a part of the web designing and ms office course lol that's why they're willing to spend on me)

there are no rules to making art however some pea brain sized humans think copy someone else's work and claiming it as theirs is somehow okay. that's called plagiarism babes, hard to pronounce but super easy to avoid.
