002, YOU HATE BLONDES

"GOOD EVENING, LITTLE CHICKENS!" Zara Valentine waved at her camera. Avery, who was just waking up, grumbled from under her covers.

"You're so embarrassing, Z," Avery whined as her sister walked over to her bed and tried ripping the blanket off of her face to show the vlog.

Zara rolled her eyes at her sister's late-night nap mood and instead continued talking to her camera and walking downstairs to make waffles for her sister and herself.

Avery got dressed out of her comfy pyjamas as she was filming a video with the triplets tonight. She threw on her sweatpants and one of her sweaters, along with a beanie.

On her journey down the stairs, Avery spotted three boys arguing as they walked closer to her house through the window. Chuckling to herself, she unlocked the front door swinging it open just as Nick was about to knock on it.

"Oh," he pursed his lips, awkwardly moving his hand to his side.

"Oh?" Avery repeated with a questioning tone, wondering why that were the first words he said to her.

Chris snorted, taking a sip of the Pepsi in his hand and shivering violently with an excited yell.

"Come in..." Avery trailed off, confused about what was going through the air today.

There seemed to be the tiniest bit of tension between the triplets and Avery assumed it had something to do with the argument they had while walking over to her house. She silently hoped the tension would vanish after they ate waffles with her and her sister.

"Morning, Zara!" Matt waved toward the older girl. Zara grinned, waving back, opening the waffle maker and placing the last waffle on the plate.

"Anyone up for waffles?" She asked the four. Even though it was literally eleven at night, Zara was on a roll with making waffles.

Chris screamed in excitement, rushing over to the kitchen island to take a seat and wait for his waffles. Matt, Nick and Avery laughed together and then began to also walk over.

Zara chuckled and placed two Belgium waffles on the boy's plate, then proceeded to place the rest onto the other plates. Chris hummed loudly, stuffing his face with his syrup coated waffle and smiling with a full mouth at Avery who grimaced and looked away.

"Thank you, Zaza!" Nick smiled up at the older girl. Zara blew him a kiss and continued to wipe down the surface she had spilt the batter on.

The four teenagers scoffed down their waffles, said goodbye to Zara and were out on the front porch in no time. Avery sprinted towards the minivan that Matt had just unlocked, beating Chris to the passenger seat.

Christopher whined like a toddler from the back where Nick and Avery always sat. Avery glanced at Matt who just rolled his eyes and shook his head to say 'ignore him'. AJ giggled and turned around to face Chris, doing exactly the opposite of what Matt just signalled.

"Hello," she dragged out with a grin. Chris rolled his eyes, unable to contain his smile at how excited the brunette girl was.

"Go away," he faked a grudge, only making Avery laugh.

Nicolas smiled at how frivolous AJ was currently acting, he pretended to type on his phone but in reality, was recording the sweet and childish interaction between his brother and best friend.

"Vee, sit your ass back down please," Matt sighed, yanking Avery's arm to make sure she was seated correctly. Avery apologized by holding his hand and kissing it, knowing he was already anxious enough driving through today's busy streets and didn't need Avery getting hurt to add to it.

The four finally arrived at the McDonald's drive-thru and began to state their orders to Nick who passed them on to the worker speaking to him.

"Two oreo McFlurry's as well. That's all," he yelled as Matt began to drive away.

Avery had already started recording on the vlogging camera while Nick was reaching out of the window to grab the three bags of food from the boy who looked around their age, plus the two large drinks.

"Why was he lowkey fine?" Nick asked as they drove around the car park to find a spot where not many people were.

Avery and Chris laughed loudly as Nick hadn't realized the camera was already recording. Nick stared at them in confusion before Matt pointed to the camera and his jaw fell open. The other three laughed at Nick for about a minute before finally getting into the video.

"Wait, Chris and AJ, swap," Nick complained, wanting his girl best friend to sit with him.

Avery sighed, squeezing between the two front seats and landing on top of Chris. Nick laughed loudly and watched as she slowly rolled off and sat on the floor, waiting for Chris to get up and move to the front. Chris opened the door on his side and hopped out of the car, closing it and reopening the passenger door.

"Much easier, see?" He commented with a smirk.

Avery rolled her eyes, shoving her middle fingers in his face and placing herself on the chair. Matt chuckled and began to open his phone to the triplets' group account.

"WHAT THE FUCK IS UP, YOUTUBE?" Chris yelled at the camera excitedly.

Matt winced at how loud his voice was but threw a thumbs up at the camera as Chris began to introduce the video they were about to film.

"Oh and that's Avery!" He added, pointing to AJ who was sitting beside Nick and reading a book. "Where did that come from?" Chris asked confused, looking at the book.

Avery looked up, holding back a "your mom" joke and pointed toward the tote bag she brought along. She then waved to the camera and yawned loudly.

"Yes, hello, it's Avery! Again," she grinned, putting away her book and eating her McFlurry.

Chris spun back to face the camera, waiting for Nick to read out the first question of the night.

"Hurry the fuck up, Nick!" He yelled.

"I'm trying!" Nick shouted back, quickly swiping around on his phone before passing it to Chris.

Matt rolled his eyes, making eye contact with Avery who also shared the same expression as him. She pulled Nick back onto his seat and pet his shoulder.

"Biggest secret with the worst outcome?" Chris finally asked, after spending three pointless minutes of scrolling through the questions.

The four thought for a moment before discussing what order they were answering the question in and finally starting to answer.

"Aves, you first."

Avery smiled gratefully at Chris who had cut off his brothers from arguing to let her speak.

"When I was like thirteen, I had a fan page," she began, turning red from embarrassment. "It lasted until I was nearly seventeen."

Nick, Matt and Chris yelled loudly, hitting each other because they knew how good this story was. No matter how many times Avery told it, they never got over it. Her storytelling skills were just that good, to them.

"So, it started off as a Johnny Orlando fan page," she admitted, holding her face in her hands as she began to regret telling this story. "He used to follow me actually, suck on that bitches!"

Nick laughed loudly, high fiving Avery before letting her continue with the story.

"When I had just turned seventeen, Johnny and I actually met, through our older sisters," she pursed her lips. "I was just so embarrassed that I changed it to a Sturniolo fan page," Avery giggled, knowing none of the triplets even knew about this.

"What?!" Matt shrieked, pulling out his phone to search for it.

"I'm not saying the username!" Avery squealed as all three of them began asking her for it. "I have like ten thousand followers almost."

The triplets gaped in shock, having no idea that she was currently one of their biggest followed fan pages. They immediately began digging through their followers in an attempt to find Avery's secret fan account, though looking for one account with over 800,000 followers each was a lot.

"But the bad outcome happened when I was fourteen," she continued with her story, completely ignoring the sad and annoyed boys. "My parents found out and started putting time limits on my apps that only they could unlock because my fan account was apparently too distracting from keeping up with school."

The triplets laughed together at the end of her story, shutting off their phones as they would try to get the username out of Avery later that night.

"Oh, our story is a shared one," Matt nodded, looking between Chris and Nick who seemed to instantly know what moment he was talking about.

"What the shit."

Avery moved her eyes between the three in shock at how they all collectively knew what moment. The triplets scared her sometimes...

As the brothers shared their story to the camera (Avery had heard it about a million times), AJ received a text from her mother which caught her by surprise. She glanced up hoping the boys wouldn't mind and checked the message.

She shut off her phone with a small smile. Avery hadn't seen her family in over a year and she was more than delighted to have them stay with her and her sister, especially since she missed her little brother more than anything.

"So yeah, never hide your crush from only one of your three brothers otherwise the other one that didn't know will start crushing on the girl and the one that knew will laugh in your face!" Matt over dramatically advertised.

Avery chuckled, shaking her head with a wide grin spread across her face. Nick turned to Avery who seemed to be a little happier than she was earlier.

"What's got you in such a chip mood?" He asked with a smile, her happiness began to radiate through the car, instantly making all three boys in a better mood.

"Mom, dad and Remi are coming up tomorrow!" She beamed.

The brothers burst into celebration, whooping excitedly. The excitement calmed down after a while and they moved on to the next question. Nick and Chris argued over who was going to read it off of the phone until Matt snatched the device and handed it to Avery.

"Alright!" She exclaimed. "What is everyone's type?" She giggled, reading out the question. Matt, Chris and Nick all groaned at her choice of question but still thought about their answers.

"I don't think I really have a type, he just needs to be a male," Nick shrugged, causing the other three to nod understandingly.

Nick, Matt and Avery turned to Chris who widened his eyes at the sudden pressure put onto him to answer this question. They sat in anticipation, waiting to see where this would go, as Chris's type used to always switch up when they were younger.

"I don't know," he furrowed his eyebrows. "My height or a tiny bit shorter and I guess blonde?"

Avery gaped at his answer, this was definitely not what she was expecting. Chris glared playfully at her, wondering why she reacted the way she did.

"I thought you hate blondes?" She asked in shock.

Chris shrugged, shaking his head, interested in why she was so confused about his simple answer. Did she want him to describe her? Surely not! Chris tried his best to cover up that Avery was not the girl he wanted, even if she was.

"Every girl watching is going to run and buy blonde box die, bro," Avery added on, making Matt and Nick chuckle.

Chris smiled, fixing his hair with his hand as he turned back to the camera. Matt then gave a very, "unhelpful for the ladies" answer, as Nick called it. Then finally, the moment every viewer had been waiting for: Avery Valentine's type.

Avery felt her heart rate fasten as the three pairs of eyes were on her, waiting in anticipation. She glanced at Chris but immediately looked away as she knew their fans were detectives and would soon enough figure something out, no matter if it was true or false.

"Um..." she began, playing with the colorful gemstone butterfly ring on her middle finger. "Preferably a guy, I'm so sorry ladies! Definitely slightly taller than me, with fluffy hair, and no specific color for his hair, or eyes! Oh, and someone who understands me and matches my humour."

"So basically Matt or Chris?" Nick smirked.

Matt shrieked shaking his head violently while Chris stayed silent, staring at his shoes. Avery scoffed at Nicks's question, shoving his shoulder playfully which resulted in a playfight between the two of them.

"First of all! Vee is like my little sister, and just because Morgan is in Italy for the year doesn't mean I'm not with her anymore," Matt defended himself.

Avery giggled at how scared and defensive he began to get, she watched with a smile as he turned to the camera and apologized to his girlfriend.

"What about you, Chris? You've been awfully quiet," Nick grinned. Leaning over his brother's shoulder to blow in his ear.

Chris jumped in fright, spinning around to punch Nick. Avery rolled her eyes at the brotherly love and waited patiently for the 'fight' to end.

"I don't like Aves," he yelled. A little too loud.

He widened his eyes and looked over at Avery who was already giving him a light-tipped smile. She thought she didn't like Chris like that. Why was there a pang in her heart when he said those four words? She just couldn't understand.

Chris tried mouthing an apology to Avery but she was already looking out of the window as it started to pour with rain. He watched as her eyes lit up when the water hit the windows and how she silently anticipated what raindrop was going to win the 'race'. Nicolas noticed his brother watching Avery in awe, he noticed the obvious glint in his eye and how his lips stretched into a small smile. Nick smiled to himself and made a mental note to edit this little part out, not wanting people to invade the pair's privacy.
