━ chap 3. welcome to u.a high !
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
IT HAS BEEN A FULL WEEK since the u.an entrance exam and now came for the hard part, waiting for the results.
[y/n] was especially nervous, everything in the past week was a blur as all she's done is wait by the front door of the estate. hoping to get that fated letter to know if she was accepted or not.
as she paced back and forth, biting her thumbnail and mumbling to herself. megumi and mei both peek from around the corner, watching their daughter stress herself out.
they glance at each other with worried expressions before hiding behind the wall again. "okay, i'm starting to stress out with her," mei whispers to her husband, peeking back for a moment. "when is that damn letter coming?"
megumi stays silent, but there was so many thoughts running through his head. what would he do if she didn't get accepted into u.a? will she cry? if that were the case, could he ask gojo to pull some strings?
'if she just went through the recommended student route, all of this would be less stressful.' he deadpans, feeling tired by just thinking about his lovely daughter bursting into tears.
he doesn't think there's a part of him that could handle that.
suddenly, the front door of the house opens, catching the parent's attention. they see [y/n] being handed something before she immediately closes the door.
"ITS HERE!" she shrieks out of pure fear and excitement and runs around the corner to go to her room.
not expecting this reaction, her parents follow her instantly and to try to catch up to her. but the girl was already in her room, sliding her door shut.
"WAIT OUTSIDE! THANK YOU!" the young heiress yells from inside. the suggestion was odd, but they allowed it
now, both of them can only do is wait for what is to come.
meanwhile inside the bedroom, [y/n] frantically opens the envelope ripping it apart and instead of the expected letter, it was metal yellow disk and folded piece of papers.
she raised an eyebrow, wondering what it was metal item was. so, she sits down at her own personal desk, disk in hand.
once she places the disk on the surface of the table, a hologram comes from it startling her. out appears someone she didn't expect.
"this is a projection!" all might exclaims with his everlasting smile, making [y/n] go wide eyed.
his grin was contagious and she can't help but smile as well, not believing it was him. "it's actually all might..." she breathes out, exciting her.
"i'm in town for one reason only! i've come to teach at u.a!" he reveals, still smiling. "and i've also come to tell you, young [y/n] fushiguro, your exams results!"
in hearing this, a hint of nervousness blooms within the girl, and she stays quiet as to hear her results
"i must say, young fushiguro. you've passed you're written exam with flying colors! like a true pro!" he complements her, as if it was almost genuine. "and your performance during the practical exam was just the same!"
"was it really that good?" [y/n] expresses, a brow raised as she tilted her head a bit.
"you have earned yourself 90 villain points and 60 rescue points! taking first place on the exam having a collective total of 150 points!" he exclaims, showing her rank on the screen behind him.
"EXCUSE ME WHAT?!" the young heiress screams, jump right out of her seat. "NO WAY?!"
fushiguro looked closely at her test scores, realizing she wasn't seeing things differently at all. she really did end up getting first place!
"wait, wait, wait, wait!" [y/n] mumbles and pauses her thinking for a moment as she sits back down, "that must mean my assumption about the exam also counting in how you rescued people was right?"
the expression on her face turned shocked, throughly impressed that her guess ended up being right. 'damn, i didn't think...'
"and with that, i want to congratulate you, young fushiguro." all might says, grabbing her attention. she feels her heart beat pick up in slight fear.
this was it, the moment [y/n] has waited for all her life, ever since she decide to become those hours of training and what she's endured to get here.
this is what's decides her future.
her hands felt a bit clammy and her stomach churns with anxiety, but she ignores it. she needed to ready her heart for what comes next.
"you are herby accepted into u.a. high! congratulations young fushiguro and welcome, to your hero academia!" all might express, smiling before the projection completely shuts off.
silence only followed as [y/n] then scrambled out of her chair and opened the door to her bedroom.
in doing so, she finds her parents waiting, perking up when they see her. mei is the first to approach her daughter, impatience painting her face, megumi following suit.
[y/n] could not hide the smile forming on her, she felt completely overjoyed, her body was jitter and energized.
"i got in." she says quietly, making her mother look at her, almost as if she didn't hear her right.
"h-honey," she stammers, her own smile forming. "you got in?"
the girl nods rapidly, echoing "i got in! i got in, mom!"
mei shrieks in utter excitement, bringing her daughter into her arms and spinning her around.
"SHE GOT IN! MY BABY GOT IN!" she squeals, happy tears pricking her eyes.
[y/n] laughed joyfully at her mother's reaction, her own tears overflowing with euphoria and her body was washed in relief.
the fight was over.
after putting down, megumi then brings his lovely daughter into a bone crushing hug. his arms protectively around her, "i'm so proud of you." he mumbles into her hair.
the dark haired girl can't help but feel emotional, snuggling her face into her father's chest. mei watches the two with tears in her eyes, fawning over the two very people she loved most in this world.
this wasn't just a celebration of her daughter getting into u.a. it was something shared so deeply within the family of three. that words can't explain.
it was a long time coming, really.
⨳ 𓏲˖ 🐺 ˖ ࣪ 🐾 ָ࣪ 𓏲⋆.
MONTHS QUICKLY PASS by and the new school year has started in the fresh blooms of april.
the happy news of the young fushiguro heiress spread out to her chosen family, all celebrating with joy. satoru gojo was the most emotional out all of them.
it came more of a surprise to the fushiguros when they heard from the kind hearted izuku midoriya had also passed. [y/n] was the first tell them and celebration between the two families was a given.
now, came the grand day. the first day at u.a high. their first step towards the path of their dreams.
[y/n] tidies herself in her new u.a uniform, smiling for her very first day of at u.a. high. she couldn't stop looking at herself in her mirror, feeling confident than ever before.
she wore black socks that reached to her thighs. her [h/l] black hair was also in her usual half up and half down style, tied up by a black ribbon.
tucking a strand behind her ear, the girl shows off the small diamond stud earrings she had on each ear. obviously gifted by her uncle toru.
she also made sure to wear her jade teardrop earrings, a celebration gift sent by her grandparents on her mother's side back in china.
"baby, you ready?" she hears her mother say from her bedroom door.
quickly grabbing her backpack, [y/n] replies ernestly, "yeah māma! just give me a second!"
walking out the girl sees her mother dressed up for her work making her frown a bit, knowing she'll be late. but the woman saw right through her and pinched her cheek.
"don't you dare, young lady." mei lightly scolds her, "it's your first day of high school, my photo shoots can wait!"
[y/n] whines playfully as a dramatic act, "okay, okay!"
the two make their way to the front door of the estate where megumi was waiting, wearing a tux. as his day job consisted of being his wife's bodyguard.
he perks up at the sound of their footstep, his dark green eyes soften at the sight of his daughter in her uniform.
"ready for you first day?" he asks softly, cupping her cute face.
the ebony haired girl nods, wordless and smiling. closing her darling green eyes and heat wafting against her delicate cheeks. it was expression that was so dear to megumi's heart.
in letting go of her face, he glances at her bag. "good, you have everything you need?"
"of course bàba," [y/n] replies, chuckling as she goes to put on her [f/c] hightop sneakers. "māma already double checked, i think she's more nervous than i am."
"excuse me?! your my darling baby!" she retorts, sassily putting her hands on her hip. "of course i'm worried, your all grown up now!"
"māma, i'm still 15." the girl teases, getting up from floor and faces towards the door.
[y/n]'s pretty hand grips the handle as she turned to her parents who looked at her, their expressions full love and adoration.
her heart feels undeniable warm, like it always did when she was with her parents. they've done so much for her and yet, she's hasn't return the favor.
"i'll make you guys proud, i promise."
she says to them firmly. slight shock runs across their faces before both them smile.
the girl doesn't anything as her feelings of gratitude went across to her parents. she opens the door, giving them one last look of a goodbye before running out.
they can't help but follow after, watching her leave the estate grounds. mei's eyes watered a bit, her gaze staying on her daughter's figure.
she gets a past glimpse of the young child she raised, the only being she loves more than life. 'my baby...' she thinks, sniffing a bit.
mei glances to megumi, who seemed to have the same melancholy expression on his usual stoic face. he wasn't one to get so emotional but yet, here he was having tears pricking his eyes.
'damnit... she doesn't need us now does she?' he assumes, smiling sadly.
the woman gently holds his hand as they didn't say anything else only comforting each other in the silence of the spring season air.

AFTER MEETING UP with midoriya, the two best friends make the trek to u.a. high for their first day.
they navigate through the school's large and clean hallway, the morning sun shining through the tall glass pane windows.
together, they search for the classroom they were assigned too. fortunately for them, they were both assigned to class 1-a for the hero course.
neither friend could handle being separated by class, it would be a nightmare for sure.
"izu, look, it's this one." [y/n] mumbles, pointing to the large door that read 1-a in big red letters.
the two friends approach the large door, nervousness tingling their body. they couldn't help it, this would be the start of their hero journey, along with a whole different class of students.
"ready to head into the unknown?" [y/n] asks, facing midoriya with a smile.
he turns to her with shaky grin of his own. "nope." he sighs before looking at the door again. "but, let's do it."
his hand reaches to the door handle, before slowly sliding it open. ready to start their new chapter in life.
"take your feet off the desk, right now!"
startled, the two friends were greeted by the vaguely familiar face of a boy with glasses arguing with somebody they already knew.
'it's only 8 am, why are they yelling?' [y/n] deadpans, comically. the day hasn't even started properly and she was tired of it already.
"eh?! you're kidding me, right? your old school put a stick up your ass or were you born with it?" bakugo provokes, still keeping his feet on his desk.
the boy can't help but gasp in horror at his words. "you're awful! do your really wish to become a hero?!"
meanwhile, midoriya sweats nervously, 'just my luck...' he thinking as he sees the two people he definitely didn't want to see on the first say of high school.
suddenly, the boy in glasses catches of the gazes of the two childhood friends. this doesn't go unnoticed by [y/n], whose eyes form a glare as she is clearly weary of him from his pervious actions.
ignoring her hostile intentions, he walks over to them with a clam facade. "i'm tenya iida from somei private academy—"
"yeah, we heard." the dark haired girl, interjects rudely. protecting her green haired friend. "spare the introductions."
the boy, now known as tenya iida gulps at her intimidating presence. that is until midoriya taps her shoulder, her look turning soft and caring when she faces him.
leaning closer to her, "don't be rude!" he whispers nervously.
[y/n] pouts slightly, eyebrows furrowed. "but he was mean to you."
the freckled boy shakes his head, his own expression turning stern. this causes the pretty girl to sigh, not being able go against him in times like these.
she once faces the boy in glasses again, disinterested and annoyed while he look nervous. but the uneasiness goes away when she puts her hand out.
"i'm fushiguro, sorry if we got off on the wrong foot." she grumbles under her breathe.
iida sweats as he looks between her hand and her disgruntled expression. wondering if her apology was even genuine. news flash, it barely was.
not pondering it any longer, he shakes her hand. "i should be the one to apologize, i was out line as well."
'well at least he's aware.' [y/n] comments, letting go of his hand before his attention turns to her best friend.
"midoriya, i greatly misjudged you." he admits, his face darkening. "you perceived the true nature of the exam while i did not."
midoriya makes a face at the boy, clearly not believing what he was saying. 'i didn't perceive anything, what are you talking about?'
[y/n] bites her lip back from laughing at the face he makes before someone else comes into the classroom as well.
"oh, it's you two!"
a cute voice calls, making the friends turn around to see the same brown haired girl they met on the day entrance exam at the door.
"the pretty girl and the plain looking boy!" she exclaims, excited to see that they're in the same classroom as her.
putting on a polite smile, [y/n] greets her. "hey, glad to see you passed too."
"same here!" she replies, before turning to midoriya, the stars in her eyes growing brighter. "and you passed like present mic said you would! which would make sense that punch you did was awesome!"
in hearing her words, the pretty [h/c] haired girl raises a brow. 'punch? now what's that about?'
while the two conversed, [y/n] senses a gaze on her. looking, she sees bakugo staring at them. her green eyes narrow as he catches her eyes, adverting it.
'he must be surprised...' she thinks, turning to midoriya once again, his face red and flustered. 'he did end up passing without a quirk.'
then she hums, her eyes catching another pair of eyes staring at her. well, sets of eyes. it seems all the attention of the classroom was drawn to the little group by the door.
[y/n] adverts her eyes, uncomfortable under the gaze of strangers who are going soon-to-be classmates. she looks back to midoriya, hoping he would include her into conversation.
"if you're here to socialize then get out."
an unknown deep voice speaks behind the brown-haired girl. she, [y/n], midoriya and iida turn to see someone on the floor inside a yellow sleeping bag. a clear confused expression painting their faces.
'what in the hell?!' [y/n] exclaims with a sweat, watching the man inside grab something that looked like a squeezable juice.
"this is..." he mumbles, putting the snack into his mouth and sucked it dry. "the hero course."
he slowly gets up making everyone flinch at his movement and [y/n] pushes midoriya behind her, out of habit.
'is he a hero? he looks homeless.' she assumes, narrowing her eyes at him while midoriya peaked behind her.
his green eyes study the man, pondering. 'is he pro hero? i don't recognize him...'
as he takes off the sleeping back, revealing that he did have body, the man steps into the classrooms he taking a look at class, tired eyes analyzing them to their slightest flaws.
"it took 8 seconds for you to quiet down. time is a precious recourse." he points out, grumbling. "you lot aren't very rational, are you?"
after a moment of silence, he sighs and straightens his posture. "i'm your homeroom teacher, shota aizawa. please to meet you."
'homeroom teacher?!' the class exclaims, confused as all hell.
they had wondered if he was their teacher but his ragged appearance and even the way he spoke, it was hard to believe.
then, rummaging through his sleeping bag, aizawa pulls out a piece of clothing. "quickly now," he urges them. "change into gym clothes and out to the grounds."
the students had no other choice than to follow his instructions because, what else could they possible do?
⨳ 𓏲˖ 🐺 ˖ ࣪ 🐾 ָ࣪ 𓏲⋆.
LUCKILY, AIZAWA WAS kind enough to direct the students to their appropriate locker rooms to change into their assigned gym uniforms
[y/n] couldn't help but be a bit suspicious of this unprompted plan but went along with it as it was just the first day.
she minded her own business as the other girls wanted to make small talk, learn their each other's names and all that. fushiguro's wasn't for that kinda thing, so she didn't include herself.
unbuttoning her white school shirt, [y/n] lets it slide off her shoulders revealing her flawless figure and the bra she wore underneath.
she barely noticed how quiet it became as the others girls couldn't help but take multiple glances at the young heiress. that brown haired girl was right, [y/n] was pretty, really pretty.
"you're really..." a breathy voice starts from her left, her words trailing off. [y/n] hums and glances, seeing a girl with short purple hair, shamelessly staring at her.
the girl's dark eyes trail her body, every curve and dip and finding the beauty of seeing the softness of her [s/c] skin. it gave her own goosebumps, she didn't feel insecure, just mesmerized.
she meets [y/n]'s jewel like green eyes, gulping. "...you're really pretty, just saying."
fushiguro chuckles lightly at her dazed expression, finding a bit cute. she leans a bit closer to her, making her yelp quietly as deep blush covers her cheeks.
"thanks, i think you're pretty too." she whispers with a quick wink before going back to changing and puts on a white shirt.
the short haired girl blinks unmoving as [y/n] finally finished changing. her eyes never leaving her figure as she walks towards the locker room door.
"see you ladies outside!" [y/n] says, giving the rest of the girls a casual wave and a charming polite smile that could make millions alone.
'she's so...' the other girls think in unison as the watch her walk out of the door, blush staining their cheeks. 'she's so cool!'
⨳ 𓏲˖ 🐺 ˖ ࣪ 🐾 ָ࣪ 𓏲⋆.
NOW GATHERED OUTSIDE, the students huddle together as their new teacher gives them an explanation.
"a test of our quirks?" they exclaim, clearly confused as they've never done such a thing.
the brown haired girl from before, known as ochaco uraraka, tilts her head in worry. "but what about the entrance ceremony or guidance lessons?!"
"what?" aizawa scoffs, raising a brow making her flinch. "there's no time to waste on that stuff if you want to become heroes."
in bundle of students, midoriya and fushiguro stand together. the freckled boy looking more nervous by the second while the calm girl seemed generally fine.
"u.a is known for their freestyle educational system." aizawa begins to explain. "that also applies to us teachers as well."
this only seem to confuse the students more than they already are.
"you've been taking standardized tests most of your lives. but you never got to use your quirks in physical exams before." he points out, showing a list of said exams on high-advanced phone.
the children continue to listen intently to their teacher as they didn't have much of a choice. "the country's still trying to pretend we're all created equal by not letting those with the most power excel. it's not rational."
suddenly, aizawa's his tried eyes turn to fushiguro who leaned against midoriya casually. "fushiguro," he calls, causing her to glance up. "you placed first in the entrance exams, correct?"
in his statement, the class turn their attention to her, clearly surprised that she was the one who placed first.
[y/n] hums, nodding. "you would be correct."
"what was your farthest distance throw with a softball in junior high?"
"exactly two hundred meters."
the quickness of her response caught aizawa off guard, he blinks rapidly. 'is she joking?' he guesses, analyzing her expression for any hint of humor but there wasn't any.
even the class was shocked, 200 meters without a quirk? that's unheard of before. but, bakugo and midoriya expected this response from her, her innate strength was nothing to sneeze at.
"are you joking?—" he sentence gets cut off by her own dead stare, like she's been in this exact situation multiple times before.
'...she's serious?'
the dark haired man clears but throat, trying to regain his composure before he explains the main objective. "anyway, fushiguro, try doing it again with your quirk."
aizawa holds out a softball of sorts in his free hand and [y/n] walks forward, "anything goes, just stay in the circle." he says as the girl takes the ball from his hand
"anything?" she muses, eyebrow raised, stepping towards the placement in the sandy ground. "if that's the case you are not gonna like the result."
her words annoy him as he is greatly reminded of the cocky no. 2 hero, gojo satoru. he wasn't lying when he said that this girl really was his niece.
"go on, you're wasting time."
"alright, alright...."
not even bothering to stretch her arms, [y/n] puts her full force into throwing the ball with a grunt. it flies in the air relatively far, surprising the class.
but she wasn't done yet.
"nue." a small smirk graces her lips as she weaves her hands to the shadow puppet needed for the shikigami. and like always, the shadows bend to her will and forms her nue.
soft gasps could be heard as nue perched on her shoulders, chirping to greet its master. 'he did say use your 'quirk.'
watching the ball she threw loose it's distance, [y/n] puts her hands in her pockets. waiting for the perfect moment to give the order.
"go." she commands and the shikigami doesn't hesitate to follow her order. the animal shoots off with a gust of wind and a loud screech.
"you're cheating, witch!" bakugo shouts at her, but it held no actual whining just the tone to make fun of her.
she rolls her shimmering green eyes and then glances at him, her signature smirk still present. "oh shut up katsuki. it is not."
aizawa doesn't say anything, he just watches the nue catch the ball with its claws and take it to a farther distance. 'just what in the hell?'
satisfied with the distance, [y/n] wordless orders her nue to drop the ball and come back. as it flies back, the young heiress stretches out her left arm to the side, giving the bird something to perch on.
it comes back to her in record time, landing on her arm, making [y/n] smile. "good girl." she praises rubbing her feathers, chirping as a thank you.
fushiguro glances over to aizawa who had look liked he have trouble comprehending what just happened before he lifts up the phone to class.
"as i was going to say." he sighs, tiredly as loud gasps could be heard from the rest of class in reveling the number. "it's important for us to know your limits. that's the first rational step to figuring out what kind of heroes you'll be."
0.7 KM
seems the distance was too far to calculate in meters that it had to be turned into kilometers instead.
"whoa! this is awesome!"
"0.7 km?! seriously?!"
a fluffy pink haired girl squeals in delight. "so we can use our quirks for real!! the hero course is awesome!"
despite the happy atmosphere the class had, midoriya was a nervous wreak. he really didn't like where this situation was going.
"...awesome, you say?" aizawa muses, catching the class' attention. his tone was ominous and dark. his red eyes, filled with mischief.
he laughs at their childlike nature, to the point that even [y/n] was getting concerned. "you're hoping to become heroes after three years here. and you'll think it'll be all fun and games?"
aizawa words get the kids gulping or sweating nervously, wouldn't that be the point of a hero? that's it's fun?
to others, that might be the case. but to the selective few, those who have hearts of a true hero, that wasn't it. they're dream is to save others, not to benefit themselves.
"right," aizawa mumbles, taking their silence as an answer. "the one with the lowest scores across all eight exercises wills be judge hopeless..."
the next words that comes out of his mouth sent the whole class into a frenzy.
"...and will be expelled!"
'you've got to be kidding me?!' [y/n] exclaims as her head whipped towards midoriya. she couldn't help but be worried, though she and her family helped him train, will it be enough?
the boy himself looked like he was about to faint, his dark-green eyes meet his friends. it held the same fear he was feeling right about now.
"your fates are in our hands welcome, this is..." aizawa cackles, running his hand through his hair, revealing his satisfied expression.
"the hero course at u.a. high!"
⨳ 𓏲˖ 🐺 ˖ ࣪ 🐾 ָ࣪ 𓏲⋆.
THE CLASS WAS scared and confused, expelling them on the first day? it wasn't possible!
speaking up for the class, the brown haired girl steps up to refute it. "the lowest scored will be expelled?! it's only the first day, i mean, even if it weren't. that's unfair."
[y/n] slightly cringes at her words knowing the girl was slightly in the wrong. unfairness was a lesson she learned when she was especially young the hard way, that nothing really is fair.
unpleasant memories flash in her mind but fushiguro ignores them. she attempts to continue listening to her homeroom teacher talk trying not to let the memories get under her skin.
"heroes are the ones..." aizawa sighs, ruffling his hair. "who correct that unfairness."
he looks at the class, seeing no hope for them. "if you were hoping to spend your evenings hanging out at mcdonald's, i'm sorry to tell you that the next three years, u.a. will grind you down."
he pauses for a moment until a wicked smile appears against his lips. as if he's excited about what they may bring to the table.
"that's plus ultra." he says, as if he adding fuel to the fire. "use your strength to overcome it all. so bring it."
contrast to the attitude they had before, class 1-a seemed to be excited for these simple trials. "the demonstration is over."
each student wanted to prove this teacher wrong, the light in their eyes growing bigger and confident.
"now it's for real."
⨳ 𓏲˖ 🐺 ˖ ࣪ 🐾 ָ࣪ 𓏲⋆.
THE FIRST EXERCISE was the standard 50 meter dash, two students at a time run while a robot calculates their time.
"hey, don't look so nervous izu." [y/n] nudges the boy with her elbow as they wait for their turn. "you'll do fine."
midoriya sweats and looks at her disgruntled. "that's easy for you to say."
unfazed, the young heiress just laughs quietly and then pats his head as if he were still a child. which, no doubt embarrasses him, a pink hue to his freckled cheeks.
soon enough, it was finally midoriya's turn and he was unfortunately paired up with bakugo of all people. the ashy-blonde gave the two childhood friends a dirty look before they both took off, running.
aizawa observed the students from the sidelines, noting of how they approach the exercise.
'they're pushing their quirks to the limits. by seeing how much they've improved,' he thinks looking at current exercise results. 'i can guess what they're capable of and what they're not.
gazing over his tried eyes over to the two boy who were running at the moment. then, bakugo with a wide smirk, crosses his arms, his palms facing back.
'this is inevitable linked to how creatively they use their abilities.'
"explosive speed!" bakugo growls, the smile never leading his face before using his quirk to speed past midoriya.
the force of his blast almost knock midoriya down but he was able to stumble over. [y/n] who was watching, cups her hands around her mouth to shout, "that's cheating katsuki!"
'student 16, 17 and 18...'
"shut up, witch! no it aint!" he retorts back as he crossed line and pass the robot, timing him.
the robot chirps his score of 4.13 seconds as bakugo slides on the ground, stopping his speed. he shakes his hand of the extra sweat then, he looks over to midoriya, wondering what score he had gotten.
it was 7.02 seconds which is still close to his original time in middle school, not all that impressive. the boy was clearly a bit out breath, his mind frenzy trying to figure out his options on how to use that.
aizawa takes note of his panicky expression but doesn't say anything and only analyzes him. then he moves on to the next two students.
[y/n] who could see midoriya's crouched body and frowns at this, then its her turn to do the 50 meter dash. she steps into the starting line and hops in place, warming up her legs.
her green eyes glance to the side and sees a two toned haired boy warming up next her. they meet eyes for a moment but neither of them say a thing and just look forward.
"ready... set..."
the two get into position to run before the robot beeps, 'go' and they start running.
the dual-haired boy surprised [y/n] and ran by siding on ice, presumably to be his quirk. though, she didn't let it affect her and kept running.
then, the two students passed robot practically at the same time and skid to a stop, panting a bit. their silence waved in the air waiting for their results.
"4.03 seconds. 4.02 seconds."
the pretty girl blinks and hums, shocked that the dual-haired boy he was able to narrowly beat her. even bakugo would be a few seconds behind her if anything.
the boy stares at fushiguro for a moment before turning and walking away. a confused expression paints the girl's face, wondering what she did to garner such a reaction.
ignoring it, fushiguro goes to join midoriya but not before glancing back at the silent boy once more. 'guess, he's a loner too...'
and when she looked away, the boy did the same action and glanced back at her. his dual colored eyes gazing over her figure, but did not say anything and looked away.
⨳ 𓏲˖ 🐺 ˖ ࣪ 🐾 ָ࣪ 𓏲⋆.
THE SECOND EXERCISE involved a simple strength grip test in the indoor gym.
[y/n] stood by midoriya as they both did the test together, the young heiress tightens her fist around the measuring device until it beeps.
she and her best friend look at what result and blink, "200 kg, i think maki's is 300." [y/n] mumbles making midoriya deadpan and sweat at her.
then, he does his own grip test and it came out to be only 57 kg. which a very big improvement to his original score but, he was disappointed by it.
⨳ 𓏲˖ 🐺 ˖ ࣪ 🐾 ָ࣪ 𓏲⋆.
THE NEXT TWO exercises yielded the same results for midoriya and fushiguro.
[y/n] succeeding in both exams and midoriya doing better than he hoped but not enough to raise his spirits.
now, it was fifth exercise, throwing the ball. [y/n] already had her score calculated so she didn't need to do it. instead, she stayed but midoriya's side, trying to calm his nerves.
"izuku, for the love of god." [y/n] sighs, slightly annoyed as she pinched the bridge between her eyes, turning to him. "calm down, freaking out will only make you more anxious."
the boy ruffles his hair like he's loosing it, which he might be. "that's not the point, [y/n]. if i don't do something worth while, i'll be at the bottom."
a sigh escapes her pretty lips, the young heiress really couldn't blame him. everything he had worked for was riding on this, it was understandable to be nervous.
'but it's weird...' she thinks as her analytic eyes land on her homeroom teacher as he called up another student. 'he instigated it so much that makes me wonder if he's hiding anything up his sleeve.'
[y/n] is brought out of her thoughts as uraraka's ball throw went far. then, aizawa shows her score to the class and it's just... the infinity symbol.
seeing the score, everyone gasps and exclaims in surprised. of course, [y/n]'s score was amazing itself but this, this was something else!
izuku felt like throwing up out of pure nervousness, everyone else had remarkable scores except him. he had to do something to save himself from being expelled.
suddenly, midoriya's name is called and he walks up, leaving behind a worried [y/n]. she watches him a slight frown painting her lips as uraraka stands next to her.
uraraka makes a face, noticing her concerns. she pats her shoulder as a comforting smile appears. "don't worry." she assures, rubbing her thumb. "he'll be fine! have faith in him!"
the dark haired girl blinks rapidly at her, not expecting her to ease her worries. knowing she meant no harm, [y/n] returns the smile kindly to uraraka. "thanks for the reassurance."
her smile gets the brunette blushing a bit as she only nods, humming enthusiastically. she looks away, fanning her face and trying to calm her beating heart.
'even her smile is pretty..!'
"midoriya isnt doing very well..." iida mentions thoughtfully, though it didn't come from ill intent.
bakugo who stood next to him, scoffed and smirks widely. "well, duh! he's a quirkless runt!"
now the blue haired boy was confused, quirkless? from his perspective, midoriya was anything but that. after what he saw at the entrance exam, he knew better.
"quirkless?!" iida exclaims, raising a brow. "you didn't hear his feat during the entrance exam?"
"huh?" the blonde's smirk quickly falls from his face as clear puzzled expression replaces it. was he hearing four eyes correctly?
he can't help but glance over to [y/n] who said nothing. she wasn't even paying attention to the conversation, she just minded her own business.
did she know something he didn't?
they watched as midoriya put everything into his throw only to amount to a merger 50 meters. which it even surprised him, wondering what went wrong.
"what...?" he breathes out, looking at his hand as it shakes from his anxiety. "i was just trying to use it just now."
"i erased your quirk."
the gruff voice of his homeroom teacher catches midoriya by surprise as then his eyes widen in realization. he already looked familiar, but the goggles and the erasure of his quirk was the nail on the coffin.
his homeroom teacher was the underground hero: eraserhead.
class begin to gossip about their homeroom teacher while he and midoriya speak to each other, making sure the other students don't hear them. on the other hand, fushiguro was deep in the thought about something.
'was the thing about expelling the last student a bluff then?' she assumes, her pretty green eyes narrowing as she holds her chin in thought. 'it just wouldn't make sense to expel them on the first day of school.'
[y/n]'s eyes then glance upward, watching as her teacher let's midoriya go from his scarf. giving him another chance to throw the ball again.
midoriya mutters constantly to himself, thinking of what to do. though his expression showed one of worry, his stance only showed he was confident in himself.
both of his childhood friends notice this, which of course brought different reactions. bakugo seemed to hate it, knowing he was just a quirkless weakling.
fushiguro on the other hand seemed proud as a small smirk forms on her lips, 'seems like i don't have worry about him.'
aizawa analyzes him, a bit surprised he was standing tall after being humiliated. then he watched his green eyes glance upwards and ready's to throw the ball.
just when he about to let the ball fly, at the very last second, midoriya puts everything into his index finger. sending the ball flying into the air with a powerful gust of wind.
'what?'
the smirk from [y/n] face drops and look of surprise covers it instead. the same goes for bakugo who looked utterly confused and defeated.
bakugo whips to look at fushiguro, pointing at midoriya. his expression saying, 'did you know about this?!'
the girl puts her hands up in defense and shakes her head, fushiguro's own expression just as shocked.
meanwhile, the dark haired teacher smirks widely, seeing the kid passed exceptions he didn't know he had. 'this kid is crazy...' he states before looking down at the score.
705.3 METERS.

THE SCORE NARROWLY beats bakugo's score. which only added to the unbridled rage that was building up within him.
but honestly, at the moment, it didn't really matter. he was lied to. he knows quirks don't manifest past the age of four or five. it's impossible.
but yet, midoriya had proven him wrong.
fushiguro was opposite, she was at a loss. she knew everything about midoriya. she knew his habits and mannerisms, his likes and dislikes. she knows this boy like the back of her hand.
but this? he never mentioned this.
before anything else, her eyes catch the blonde haired boy launching foward, yelling at him. [y/n] follows quickly after him, holding him back.
"you dumbass!" she yells, "don't fight him!" though her words fall deaf to his ears as the blonde boy struggled against her strong hold.
"i don't fucking care! that worthless deku needs to explain himself now!!" bakugo screams, almost considering blasting her face off with his quirk.
while fushiguro couldn't help but agree with him, wanting to know too. but, there is always a time and place for everything. this wasn't one those times.
then, just when it seemed like the explosive boy could free himself from her hold, the two were quickly wrapped up in binding cloth.
a tick mark appears on the girl's head, irritated. 'okay, now why i'm in this?!'
"what the hell!" bakugo grunts, struggling against the cloth. "why.. is it so stiff?!"
midoriya wanted to reached out to and help but the pain in his finger was excruciating. causing him to flinch when he tried to move his hand.
"it's a capture weapon made of carbon and fibers and a special alloy wire." aizawa explains with a tired sigh, tightening the cloths around the kids, "stop using your quirk, you're giving me dry eye."
[y/n] deadpans, looking at her homeroom teacher. "i don't know what prompted you to capture me." she grunts as gestures to herself. "when i was trying to stop him."
"your record states otherwise, fushiguro." aizawa retorts, deactivating his own quirk. "you've been warned, so clean up your act."
the mention of her past offenses make black haired girl click her tongue, looking away embarrassed. 'damnit,' she curses as the scarf around her and bakugo is released. 'i didn't think they would care about that kind of thing...'
the girl shakes it off before walking back to the sideline like the rest of class. then, her green catches sight of bakugo, who seemed to be fuming in rage, glaring over at midoriya.
a second later, [y/n] takes a glance at midoriya, talking to uraraka and iida who looked concerned about his broken finger.
and for once, fushiguro understood bakugo's anger.

THE REST OF the exercises went on without a hitch, midoriya had battle through the pain which he seemed to be fine with. since he had a more pressing matter to worry about.
as the exercises ended, fushiguro stood next to him silent and neutral expression on her face. not once asking him if he was okay or not.
'i screwed up big time!' he sweats, gulping nervously as he couldn't bare to make eye contact with his best friend.
there were very rare times [y/n] would be angry with him and even if she was, the girl wouldn't be for long. but, this was a first for midoriya.
the silent treatment.
as the green haired boy tried to make an excuses in his head for future questioning, aizawa begins speaking and showing the final results.
"also, i lied about expelling someone." the dark haired teacher casually mentions, flipping on hologram.
the silence was deafening until most students let out a loud 'hah?!' in exclamation. but there was silent relief in their bodies, the tension leaving them.
aizawa scoffs, a wide smile on his expression. "that was a rational depiction," he states unapologetically. "meant to bring out the best in all of you."
"it was an obvious lie." [y/n] says plainly as midoriya, iida and uraraka continue freaking out. "it wasn't that hard to figure out."
"you could have least said something?!" uraraka shouts at her, tears pricking her round eyes while fushiguro remained unfazed.
anyways, after that mini fiasco, the class turn their eyes to scoreboard looking to see where they placed in these exercises.

[y/n] couldn't care less that she placed first, it was obvious that she did. this was merely just basic school exercises, nothing too challenging like the entrance exam. but, nonetheless, she was still pleased with the result.
while midoriya pursed his lips together seeing where he placed, he still had a long way to go if wanted to reach the top, to stand beside fushiguro.
bakugo, as one could guess— was frustrated. his vermilion eyes narrowing into a glare. it was no different than middle school at this point. always in the shadow of fushiguro, barely catching up to her.
others cared where they placed and others didn't, everyone had mixed reactions. but it seemed like the worst was over.
"anyways, we're done for today. pick up a syllabus in the classroom and read it before tomorrow morning." aizawa states before approaching midoriya with a pink slip
he hands to him this time his expression was a bit softer than before, "have recovery girl fix you up. tomorrow's trails aren't gonna be any easier."
and with that he walks away. leaving the class confused but it seemed to be a common occurrence now.
the green haired boy looks at the slip but he flinches when he feels a specific someone staring at him. his emerald green eyes meet the priceless color of dark jade green shade.
the two childhood friends stare each other, the silence growing thicker with tension by the second. then, midoriya opens his mouth to speak
"so, um—"
"just get yourself fixed up."
[y/n] interrupts him, her voice in the soft tone she usually uses when she talks to him. "we can talk later." she continues, not sparing him glance as she walks passed him.
nothing more is said as the freckled boy watches the pretty girl walk away from him. though she gave him a much needed reassurance, his heart still felt full of guilt.

AFTER CHANGING BACK into her school uniform, fushiguro leans against the wall right outside the nurses office.
there were a lot of thoughts running through her head, the main one being— why didn't midoriya tell her?
of course, people keep secrets from one another but the bond between midoriya and [y/n] was different. obviously clearly platonic, but it ran deep within them.
then, the door to the nurse's office opens and out comes a tired looking green haired boy. the girl pushes herself from the wall and steps towards him.
she grabs his attention by lightly bonking his head, making him flinch in surprise and turn to her. midoriya's expression turns pale in seeing her.
"[n-n/n]!" he exclaims, sweating nervously, pawing at the straps of his backpack. "did you, uh-wait for me?"
fushiguro takes notice of his bandaged finger and smiles softly in relief, lowering her hand. "yeah," she says before rummaging through her bag and hands him the class syllabus. "grabbed an extra for you."
the boy takes it with grateful eyes. "thanks..." he says quietly, glancing at it for a moment. but a frown appears.
"[n/n], i'm sorry."
"what for?"
he gulps, his shy demeanor showing as he hides his face behind the syllabus packet, embarrassed. "i- i know your mad at me for not telling you."
"who said i was mad?" [y/n] states, a tilt to her head and a teasing smile playing on her pretty lips.
midoriya peeks from behind the paper, playfully glaring at the girl making her scoff in laughter. strands of her black hair falling into place beautifully and her earring jingling.
her laughter makes the boy blush, flustered. "well..." he mumbles. "i would be mad at me, if i were you."
"let me rephrase it, then." [y/n] says, pulling down the packet from his face so she can see his face. "i was never really mad at you izu."
midoriya blinks in shock before a guilty expression paints his, eyes casting downwards. "but, i still didn't tell you. and we promise each other we'd tell each other everything, so-"
"let me finish." [y/n] huffs, interrupting him once again. the boy listens to her and purses his lips together.
she sighs after a moment, "i'm not gonna ask questions if you don't want me too." fushiguro continues as midoriya stares at her in surprise. "i know you, you wouldn't do it without a reason."
"but—" midoriya whines, pouting before his forehead is lightly flicked by [y/n].
"no buts, freckles." she warns him, as the green haired boy pouts rubbing where she flicked him.
then, she grabs him by the arm and drags him with her. "now c'mon." she orders, "my māma said you're having dinner with us tonight."
the sudden normality of the conversation surprised midoriya, but he welcome it all the same. and as the day comes to an end, he is reminded how lucky he was.
lucky to know that he was able stay by his best friend's side, to even know such a kind person. and he knows she feels the same, she always did.
midoriya smiles, his eyes turning into crescents as he matches fushiguro's pace of walking. "right!" he hums in response, making the pretty girl look up at him.
though they're were words left unsaid, it didn't really matter to her in the slightest at the moment. she only felt the comforting warmth between her and midoriya.
and thus ended their first day at u.a
