HANGE COULD ONLY LOOK AT the now skeleton Titan. The ribs of the Titan had protected Levi as best as they could while steam came from Simon's body — both him and Levi were unresponsive. The rain soon came down more harshly.

Floch walked up to Hange. "Captain Levi? Section Commander Simon?" He questioned. "I have no idea what happened, but we're lucky. Our two biggest threats are covered in their own blood."

"Let's shoot him in the head."

"He's dead." Hange claimed.

Simon was barely holding on as he heard Hange's claim. "No... Not dead..." He wanted to say.

"He got caught in a Thunder Spear explosion at point-blank range. He's in worse shape on the inside, as it'd ripped his internal organ to shreds and instantly killed him." Hange continued on.

"He... can't be gone. I... protected him damn it." Simon thought.

"Let me see him." Floch ordered as Hange was silent. "I know how to take a pulse. Show him to me."

"Floch!"

Steam appeared from the nearby Titan, getting everyone's attention. "It's disappearing? Did it die?" Floch asked.

"No, they don't usually absorb steam when they disappear..." Hange replied.

The sun came out from behind the clouds as Floch and the rest of the Yeagerists had their guns pointed at the Titan. Zeke ended up falling out of the Titan's stomach as he stood up, facing the group.

Hange then moved over to clench Levi's body to theirs. They grabbed Simon as well before diving into the nearby river — the splash getting the Yeagerists attention.

"They ran!"

"Crap!"

"Follow them! Don't let them escape!"

The Yeagerists were shooting at the water, trying to find Hange, who escaped with Levi and Simon.

Marleyan soldiers soon fell out of the airships, along with the Cart's gear.

"Ms. Pieck." Gabi exclaimed, calling out the woman's name to get her attention.

"Porco!" Pieck raised her fist in the air as Porco removes the chain. Pieck's hand fell, causing both her and Gabi to scream.

"That hurts!" Pieck complained as she went over the building, transforming sook after. Porco soon began fighting with Eren who crystalized his fist and punched into a building. Pieck takes Gabi into her mouth and leaves.

Eren looks at the airships in the sky. "Eren! Can you hear me? Please come out of your Titan's body! Go inside the building and escape underground using the power of the War Hammer! The odds are against us if we fight like this!" Yelena shouted.

Eren stares at her for a moment before continuing on his way towards Reiner.

"Mobilize all soldiers! Hurry!" Yelena ordered. "Protect Eren!"

Onyankopon was out of breath as he was holding the keys to the cell.

"Onyankopon... Hey, what's going on outside?!" Jean asked, grabbing onto the bars.

"The Marleyan army attacked from the sky with their airship! Approximately 500 soldiers attacked along with the Armored, Jaw, and Cart at the same time! And Eren is facing all of them by himself. He's fighting hard, but he'll be taken down eventually!" Onyankopon explained as the cell unlocked.

"Marley will take the Founding from us! Please lend him a hand! We all have to assist Eren!"

The cell door soon opened as Connie grabbed Onyankopon by his collar.

"Screw that crap!" Connie shoved him to the wall. "We all, you say? This is your fight! You thought we'd just obey you? You betrayed us!"

"I-I'm sorry. But if I disobey Yelena, I'll just get my head blown by her!" Onyankopon tried to explain.

"Huh?! You were the one acting all nice to us while plotting to take over Paradis with that wine! Enough! I've had enough of being betrayed! By Reiner, Bertholdt, Annie, and now Eren! I'm so done with this, you shit! Why must we assist Eren just so none of us can have kids?! Tell me!" Connie shouted.

"Wai—"

Armin placed his hand on Connie's arm. "Let's hear him out, Connie." He said.

"I really didn't know about it. Be it about the wine or the euthanasia plan. Just like the other Volunteers." Onyankopon said, which caused Connie to get more angry. Armin held him back.

"I think he's saying the truth." Everyone turned to look at Niccolo. "We were told by Yelena. To not say anything about the wine to the Volunteers."

"Above all, I don't want to help with the Eldian Euthanasia plan! We just wanted to help develop Paradis Island so that we could defeat Marley together! That's why we abandoned everything and came to this island! We devoted ourselves for everyone on this island! That was only possible because we believed in this island's future! Children are the future! If Euthanasia plan succeeds, then what would all our effort have been for?! Please believe me." Onyankopon said.

"I believe you." Armin finally spoke.

"Armin?"

"You said something back then, that everyone exists because someone wished for them, including the Subjects of Ymir. Because it's interesting when different kinds of people exist, right? You showed a stance that completely opposes Zeke's ideology. You're that kind of man." Armin extends his hand out to him. "Now get up. Onyankopon."

Onyankopon takes his hand and stands up. "Armin..." He mumbled.

"I also believe you." Jean added. "But what now? Helping them means abetting their euthanasia plan."

"No, we will impede their plan. But if we lost those two, we won't be able to protect this island from the rest of the world." Onyankopon replied.

"Then what the crap are you saying we should do?!" Connie asked in anger.

"We must at least once let the world witness the power of the Rumbling!"

"Huh?! The power of the Rumbling, you say?!"

"What do you want to do, Mikasa? Do you want to help Eren?" Armin asked.

Mikasa took a minute to respond. "I want to help him. But I'm sure it's because I'm an Ackerman. Just like what Eren said. This is not my own will." She said.

"Huh?"

"I think that's just a lie Eren came out with." Armin informed.

"It's true I get headaches from time to time. Why would you think he was lying?" Mikasa questioned.

"Why you ask? Making it so that Eldians can no longer have children... did you all seriously think Eren would want that?" Armin asked.

Everyone went silent for a moment. "I did think that's unlike him to think that, but it's not impossible—" Jean began.

"But it's impossible!" Armin interrupted. "It's Eren we're talking about!"

"Then why he doesn't oppose Zeke and Yelena?!" Connie argued.

"Because he doesn't have to! It's up to Eren to decide what to do with the power of the Founding! From the moment Yelena made her proposal, he had no choice but to go with it. If he refused, who knows what method Yelena would use to persuade him. But if he accepts their proposal and makes them believe he's on their side... He could protect this island with the Rumbling! And no one will be able to lay their hand on Paradis Island for the next 50 years!" Armin claimed.
