"EREN WILL BE EATEN?!" Armin exclaimed after Hange had explained everything.

"Yeah. Eren remembered a conversation that went like this..." Hange began to read the paper.

"Do you resent me for it?" Ymir asked Bertholdt.

"I'm not sure... I... don't know. You probably didn't want to eat a human either." Bertholdt replied.

"Speculating based on that, Ymir was a Titan wandering alone outside the wall. Bertholdt, Reiner, and Annie had a comrade that she ate. When a Titan eats someone, they don't change back into a human. But, what if a Titan ate one of Reiner's comrades? They're humans who can transform into Titans." Hange explained. "In other words, if a Titan eats someone with that power, they revert back into a human. Furthermore, they obtain the power of those they eat."

"In the other day's battle, Reiner was throwing Titans at Eren, who had escaped. Eren has the power to control Titans with his scream. He was trying to snatch that power with those Titans. In that case, Eren is just a vessel who is bound to be replaced. Basically, if the government has a Titan of their own, they'll be the one to eat Eren."

Josiah started walking towards the door to the basement, but Levi grabbed onto his shoulder, stopping him in his tracks.

"Calm down. Even if you go on a rampage, they're not going to give Eren back to us." Levi informed. "Anyways, we head for the lands of this Rod Reiss. Get ready to leave at once."

"Yes, sir!" His squad replied as they headed out of the hideout.

"The Scout Regiment murdered a civilian! Some of them have fled capture! They're still on the loose! If you spot any of these persons, report it immediately!"

"Told you, didn't I? They're the ones who had that Titan battle here and destroyed practically everything!"

Josiah was in town with a hood over his head as he followed Jean as they met up with Armin and Mikasa.

"I bet they're planning to use that Eren monster to wipe us out!"

The four of them soon entered the forest where Levi, Connie, and Sasha were.

"Captain, we brought the supplies." Jean announced.

"The Military Police were handing out these." Armin added on, handing Levi a wanted paper with a sketch of Levi's face.

"If this is true, the Scouts will be disbanded. I heard they'll be hunting for us tonight. They're also putting guards on all the vital roads, and it's impossible to get through without a pass. Captain, what now?" Armin asked.

"If we don't hurry, Eren..." Josiah trailed off.

"Calm down." Levi interrupted. "They're using a wagon. It'll take at least a day to reach Reiss' territory. We'll just have to use that time to come up with a plan."

"Captain, I hear footsteps." Sasha informed. "They're coming this way."

Armin had his hands up as Marlo and Hitch had their rifles pointed at them. At that moment, Levi and Josiah used their gear to fly down, pointing their blades at both Marlo and Hitch's necks.

"That's right... Hand over your guns to the one in the front." Levi said as Armin went and took their rifles.

"And not a word, right?" Armin repeated their question to them both.

Armin had removed Marlo's ODM gear and jacket while Josiah did the same with Hitch and tying up her hands.

"Captain." Jean said, snapping Levi out of his thoughts as he handed Levi a piece of paper as he stood up.

"Now then... Stohess District Military Police. Private Marlo Freudenberg." Levi announced, reading off of the paper.

"Captain Levi! It's really him!" Marlo exclaimed in his head.

"Same assignment, Private Hitch Dreyse." Levi continued. "As for how we'll dispose of you..."

"Because of you guys, over 100 people from Stohess District were killed!" Hitch interrupted.

"Huh?"

"Hey!" Marlo warned her but Hitch ignored him.

"You people... You might think you're all heroes of justice, but the victims and their families were dropped straight into hell!" Hitch exclaimed.

"Yeah, I know." Levi replied blandly.

"You there... You're from the Southern Cadet Corps, yeah?" Hitch asked Mikasa. "Just like Annie Leonhart. Were you friends of hers?"

"No... I doubt she had any friends. Being as gloomy and aloof as she was. It's like she was a kid afraid of other people... I never got the chance to know anything about her. And the reason they still haven't found her... is because she was pulverized by a Titan into a puddle of jelly!"

"No... Because the Titan in hiding was... Annie Leonhart herself." Levi informed as both Marlo and Hitch had stunned faces at this new information.

"Goddammit, it makes me sick. Nobody knows a damn thing about this world... Not us or anyone else. Except for those bastards at the center of it all. We'll release you both as soon as we get out of here." Levi finished.

"Annie was..." Hitch was still stunned at the information she was given.

"Captain Levi! Please let me help you!" Marlo begged. "I don't think what you guys are doing is wrong! If I can help correct this world's injustice, I'll do whatever it takes!"

"What's with this guy?" Levi questioned.

"I beg of you, Captain Levi!" Marlo begged.

"Not a chance." Levi replied. "I can't tell how prepared you are about making an enemy of the government. Let's go."

He walked away with Armin, Josiah, and Mikasa following him. "Sasha. Tie them up somewhere nearby." He ordered.

"Yes, sir!"

"Captain." Jean called out to Levi, making him stop. "Please let me do it."

"Knock yourself out." Levi responded.

Jean had brought Hitch and Marlo back saying that the squad could trust them. They soon lead the squad to where the Military Police stood.

"That over there is the least manned checkpoint around." Marlo explained.

"All right. We'll handle it ourselves." Levi informed. "Get back to your squad before it's suspicious."

"Yes, sir." Hitch and Marlo said in unison before taking their leave.

"Marlo, Hitch." Levi spoke, causing them to stop. "We're grateful."

"Sir!" Hitch and Marlo said before saluting and then leaving.

"Let's go! It's our turn to pick a fight!" Levi ordered.

A Military Police officer was writing down something when he noticed a cart heading straight towards them.

"Hmm?"

The cart crashed into the barrier, revealing Jean, Connie, and Sasha.

The trio had beaten up every single Military Police member and returned to their hiding spot where Armin, Josiah, and Mikasa were.

They heard rustling from a nearby bush as both Jean and Josiah pointed their rifles at it.

"It's me." Levi informed, coming out of the bush as while pulling a man behind him by the hair.

"Captain, he's..." Armin trailed off, recognizing the man.

"With the Interior Police. I've got a few questions for him." Levi answered. "Let's move."

Levi had dragged the member into the woods and soon started to beat him to get answers out of him.

He was slouched against a tree as Levi kicked his face multiple times. He was breathing heavily and sweat was dripping down his face.

"Stop it..."

Levi kneeled down beside him. "Where are Eren and Christa?" He asked.

"Oh, you're so brave. That checkpoint back there was just recruits who could barely wipe their own ass. You think you're some sort of hero, beating on them?"

"What an atrocious thing we've done." Levi said in a sarcastic tone before shoving his foot down the man's mouth, knocking a tooth out and once again being shoved into a tree.

He tried prying Levi's foot away from him as he groaned in pain. "But what's more atrocious is this mouth of yours. I recommend you start talking while you're still able to use it." Levi threatened.

"Where are Eren and Christa?" He repeated the question, removing his foot from the man's mouth as he started coughing.

"It's no use! All that's left for you now is to run and hide inside these walls, covered in mud and shit! If you don't turn yourselves in, every last Scout we captured will get the noose! Starting with the one most guilty of all, Erwin Smith!" The man shouted.

Levi pulled onto his arm strongly that his arm was twisted. The man let out a scream in pain.

"Shut up. That's for not answering my question. Some Scouts' lives are more valuable than others. Only those dumb enough to acknowledge that join us." Levi informed. "Tell me where Eren and Christa are at."

"I-I don't know! I'm not allowed to know! Kenny Ackerman and Treyton Verlice are both very cautious men!" The man exclaimed.

Josiah widened his eyes at the last name. "Verlice?" He thinks to himself, narrowing his eyes.

"Ackerman?" Levi questioned, getting Mikasa's attention. "I know Kenny... Is that his last name?"

"It is, but..." The man paused.

"True, there's a lot of things he doesn't divulge... Especially the important stuff. But you must have a rough idea. You best try to remember." Levi said, walking towards the man.

"Stop it!" The man begged with tears in his eyes.

"You still have plenty of bones left to break." Levi threatened.

"You... You're insane!" The man exclaimed.

"Maybe I am." Levi said.

"Someone's coming from that way!" Sasha informed, extending her bow and arrow out as everyone else immediately took cover.

"More than one!" Sasha exclaimed.

"Told you so, Captain. It's no use. One way or another, the Scouts will soon come to an end!" The man exclaimed.
