The back of Dewey's patrol car was a tight squeeze, he was stuck in the middle of Sidney and Tatum. He had lost track of time, and he honestly didn't wanna go home. So if being with Tatum and Sidney all night meant he was safe, then he'd stay with them all damn night.
"A party? Mom's gonna kill you. Then me" Corey couldn't help but smile at the duos bickering. It reminded him so much of him and Casey, so many nights where they'd argue over who got the remote.
It always ended with Casey winning, Corey let her win every single time just to see her smile. Now he felt lost without her, who'd win the remote now? Who would he argue with over stupid things?
He sighed to himself as he leaned back into the seat, Sidney sat beside him looking outside the window. She was likely thinking pretty hard, she didn't pay attention to anything that was being said,
"Don't be so self-righteous. It's just a little blow out. we'll be perfectly safe". Sidney sighed deeply as she looked away from the window.
"God, look at this place, it's the town that dreaded sundown" Dewey looked at her through the mirror.
"Hey, I saw that movie. True story, 'bout some killer in Texas". Corey tapped his fingers along his thigh "it was a pretty good movie, aside from the true story aspect of it, creeped me out".
"Hey, Sid. Just think if they make a movie about you. Who's gonna play you?". Sidney looked stressed at the thought "oh god".
Corey let out a chuckle "I see you as a young Meg Ryan myself". The car came to a stop and Tatum pushed her seatbelt off the end of it smacking Corey's arm slightly.
"Thanks, Dewey. But with my luck they'd cast Tori Spelling" Corey smiled "with my luck they'd give me that guy from Star Wars, I feel like he'd play me pretty well". Sidney turned "I think he would".
Corey climbed out of the car stretching his arms slightly as he shoved the door shut. "I'll just be a few minutes. Don't go far" Corey smiled "don't worry Dewey, I'll keep an eye on them".
He walked alongside the girls his eyes looking back and forth as they crossed the street. "So Corey, what made you decide to come with us tonight? I mean no offense you don't seem the party type".
He looked at Tatum as he grabbed a cart "well it's a party, and I'd rather be there then stuck at my house all night, my mother and father keep smothering me. It's like they think I'm gonna explode or something if I go somewhere alone".
"Tonight's all about having fun, and you're officially apart of mine and Sidney's crazy life's. So tonight we keep an eye on each other and most importantly, get drunk and eat junk food".
Corey smiled at Tatum "you're great company Tatum. You got pretty good final girl potential". Tatum laughed lightly "please, if anyone's a final girl, it's me. I'll push the cart".
Tatum grabbed the cart from his grasp and the trio walked inside the store. "Is Billy going to be there tonight?" Tatum looked annoyed as she pushed the cart carefully through the glass doors.
"He better not be. I told Stu to keep his mouth shut. I think we can live without everybody's all American for one night".
"You kids are gonna have to hurry it up. We're under curfew" the woman's voice was loud as she pushed the cash register shut with a huff.
"Two minutes tops, Corey you get the drinks! Me and Sidney will grab the food" they all split up and Corey turns down the opposite aisle of the girls.
"What do you think about when you're having sex?" Tatum laughs lightly at Sidney's question "are you only asking that because Corey isn't with us?".
"Tatum" the girl giggled "right sorry! well with Stu, there's little time to stop and reflect. But sometimes
before, to relax and get in the mood, I think about Grant Goodeve".
"Really Grant Goodeye?" Tatum smiled as she put a bag of chips into the cart. "He used to be on the tv all the time, besides with Stu he can be pretty rough in bed, it's like a secret meaning I think".
"What secret meaning? Like a Satanical thing?" Tatum turned into another aisle her gaze looking at the back of Corey's head.
"Watch the show, Sid. His basket is bigger than the one you're pushing" Sidney gasped slightly and Tatum grinned "Oh, Sidney. what? A guy can talk
tits til he's dead but the minute you mention an eight inch weenie.Watch out!".
Sidney starts laughing "there's that sense of humor. I knew it still existed. Ohh, Sid, let's have some fun tonight, I promise you'll feel so much better".
"Deal" Tatum pushes the cart faster down the aisle "you know if you aren't really having any luck with Billy, why not just dump him already. He makes you miserable Sid, you could do so much better".
"What about you and Stu? Sometimes it looks like he's not even into you. Besides I love Billy". Tatum huffed "you think you love him, you don't actually love him Sid, I've seen the way you look at him, it's not even remotely close to how you look at Corey, that's love right there".
Sidney looked at Corey who was down the aisle further from them, his back turned to them as he held onto bottles of soda. "Me and Corey are just friends, I mean we barely even talked before all this happened, he's just here to keep us safe".
"Not a lot of guys around here would stick around two girls to keep them safe, he's the first guy I've seen you smile around in years Sidney, hell he even made you laugh! That's something Billy Loomis couldn't do once, I'm just saying... maybe the reason you can't get it on with Billy, is because you're just not into him".
Corey turns around smiling as he approaches them with a quick pace. "Now I grabbed about one of everything in that aisle" he let the bottles fall into the cart and let out a heavy breath.
"Did you girls get everything you needed?" they nodded and all three of them slowly walked towards the cash register. "Hey Corey, what's your dating life like? I'm curious".
Sidney glared at Tatum when she spoke the girl just grinned as she put things onto the counter. "Oh, well truth be told I've only ever dated one girl before, she broke up with me though, ran off with some guy way older but I mean she's happy so I didn't really question it".
"So you're single?" he smirked "oh why? You tryna ask me out? That'd be very tragic seeing you're with Stu. I mean he's a nice guy".
She smiled "so you are single?" he hummed slightly "yeah, I'm single... now lets get out of here before we miss the party".
He grabbed the bags and walked out of the store Tatum turned and looked at Sidney. "See he's single, nows your chance Sid, dump Billy and ask out Corey... he's so much more better".
Sidney looked at Corey as he got into the car she sighed to herself. In the distance a figure appeared behind a bush, a knife tight in there grasp. At the sight of Sidney and Tatum appearing they ran off, disappearing into the darkness.

authors note:
sometimes I wish Tatum survived past the first movie, her and Corey would be a power couple.
Anyways four more chapters left! I can't wait to start writing for the second movie.
