It had been a few days since school had started again and Sam and Beatrice still hadn't been talking to each other. Beatrice hated the fact that Sam had just stopped talking to her, but what she hated more was that she didn't even know the reason why Sam just decided not to talk to her own sister anymore. And what made it worst was the fact that not only was Sam in a relationship with someone who bullied one of Beatrice's best friends, but the fact that said bully was coming over to their house.

"Dad, you cannot invite Kyler over" Beatrice says to Daniel as she follows him around the house "He's the guy who made Tommy's life a living hell for months, and basically makes everyone's lives a living hell. You can't invite him over."

"Look, Bea, I get that your upset, but Sam is dating this guy which means that me and your Mom have to meet him at some point" Daniel explains to Beatrice "It's just one meal and then after this, you don't need to be here if he comes over again."

"But Dad, she shouldn't even be dating him at all" Beatrice argues "He's a bully. You know what it's like to get bullied more than anyone in this house. You need to understand that this guy isn't good for Sam."

"He's just a kid, Bea, I need to give him a chance" Daniel says with a sigh "Especially since he's dating Sam."

"I could say the same thing about Johnny Lawrence" Beatrice points out, making Daniel glare at his daughter.

"That is completely different--" Daniel goes to reason with Beatrice but she cuts him off.

"Completely different? Kyler is a bully who made Tommy's life a living hell, just like how Johnny Lawrence made your life a living hell" Beatrice explains "Dad, he cannot come over and he shouldn't be dating Sam."

"How about this, he comes over for one meal, and after that, he doesn't come over again?" Daniel tries to compromise with Beatrice "After tonight, you'll never see him in this house again."

"Fine, whatever" Beatrice says with a huff.

TIME SKIP BY OKINAWA

Later on in the evening, Amanda, Daniel, Sam, Beatrice and Kyler were sat at the dinner table, with Amanda and Daniel trying to get to know Kyler a bit better. Beatrice hadn't said a word ever since Kyler had walked into the house. To say that she was pissed that Kyler was in her house would be an understatement. She was enraged. Beatrice just couldn't understand what Sam even saw in Kyler. The only thing Kyler is, is a bully. Who could ever fall for someone like that?

"The yanagi, or yanagiba, depending on the region, is a knife used for cutting sashimi" Daniel says to Kyler as he serves everyone at the table their sushi "I picked up this bad boy on my first trip to Okinawa. Voila."

"Uh, thanks" Kyler awkwardly says, making Beatrice roll her eyes "I don't like sushi."

"Are you sure you just don't wanna try a little piece?" Amanda asks Kyler.

"It melts in your mouth" Daniel adds on.

"No, fish kind of grosses me out" Kyler awkwardly says to Amanda and Daniel.

"No, you like fish" Sam says to Kyler, being the first words that Beatrice has heard Sam say this week "What about the fish sticks at school?"

"Oh yeah, fish sticks are dope" Kyler says with a smile before looking at Daniel "You have fish sticks?"

"Uh, no. Just this fresh fish I picked up from the Japanese market this morning" Daniel answers in an annoyed tone.

"You know what, why don't we see if we can find Kyler something he can eat. Sam, you wanna come with me, to the kitchen?" Amanda asks before her and Sam go into the kitchen, leaving Beatrice with Daniel and Kyler.

"Thank you for having me over, Mr LaRusso" Kyler says to Daniel, making Beatrice roll her eyes again "Um, you have a great house. And I think Sam is really cool too."

"Well, thanks. Her and Bea take after their mother" Daniel says to Kyler "And listen, I never liked sushi when I was your age either. It wasn't until I met a good friend that it began to grow on me." Daniel says as Kyler nods his head to show that he's listening. "He was from Okinawa. Where are your parents from?"

"Irvine, I think" Kyler says as Beatrice notices that Kyler has a black eye.

"What happened to your eye?" Beatrice asks Kyler with a glare "Did someone else stand up to you and your bullshit? Or did Dara have to defend someone else from you tormenting them?"

"Oh, this?" Kyler asks, pointing to his eye, making Beatrice nod "This is from wrestling. You know, I dodged the wrong way, and I caught an elbow." He says with a nervous laugh "It's stupid."

"Is that how you hurt your hand too?" Daniel asks Kyler, knowing he is lying "It's okay, I was in my share of fights back in high school."

"I don't know what you're talking about" Kyler says with a shaky sigh.

"Come on, Kyler" Daniel reassures Kyler "I know high school kids can be rough."

"No, it wasn't a kid" Kyler says, making Beatrice laugh before Daniel gives her a look.

"Sorry, I shouldn't laugh" Beatrice mutters out "So, there was a fight? I bet you started it, didn't you?"

"Is... is there something going on at home?" Daniel asks Kyler, sounding a bit worried.

"Oh, no, no. Okay, just some guy at a mini-mall" Kyler explains "He just jumped me and my friends."

"What?" Daniel asks in shock.

"Yeah. We were just at the store trying to get... some protein bars. And, yeah, some homeless looking guy, he just started giving us a hard time. And next thing we know, he busts out some karate." Kyler explains in more detail, making Beatrice secretly love this strange man who decided to jump them.

"Karate?" Daniel asks, making Beatrice think that Daniel knows exactly who it was "Wait, wait, wait, wait a minute. What mini-mall was this?"

Once Kyler tells him the name of the mini-mall, Daniel gets up from his seat and leaves, sadly leaving Beatrice alone with Kyler.

"What was that about?" Kyler asks Beatrice, who glares at him.

"Please just shut the fuck up" Beatrice snaps at Kyler, not wanting to hear him say another word to her.
